I’m Trying The Silk’n Infinity Hair Removal Device

Let me first give a shout out to Tryazon and Silk’n for choosing me to try the Silk’n Infinity Hair Removal Device and allowing me to host a party. I’m so excited to get the device for free. I can’t wait to see my results.

So what made me apply to host a Silk’n Infinity party through Tryazon? Well, I’ve been thinking about doing laser hair removal for at least a year, maybe longer. I’m 41 years old. I’m just tired of shaving for temporary results, ending up with razor bumps and occasional nicks. Plus, the more I learned about it the more I realized that gray or light colored hair couldn’t be treated so I figured I was on a time table.

I actually took the step to email a local medical salon. I had multiple areas I wanted treated but I figured I’d start with a smaller area first and see how it goes. That was, until I heard the price and time requirements. $250 for the first session and consult. Then 4-6 more treatments after that with the possibility of more depending on how my body was responding. Initial consult session being about an hour to an hour and a half. With each session being an additional $200. In other words, I was easily looking at a minimum of $1000 just for one small area. Larger areas cost more. Well I just couldn’t afford that. I also didn’t want to have to worry about what to do with my youngest kids if they’d be virtual learning. So I temporarily gave up the idea.

Then I learned that there are at home pulsed light devices. There are many brands and types out there but the Silk’n Infinity hair removal device really stood out. The device cost less than just two treatment session at a professional salon but has enough pulses to remove hair everywhere I wanted to. It is one of the few devices that are FDA certified. It has a lot of safety features in place.

I did an unboxing video on facebook live if you’d like to check it out:

The Silk’n Infinity is approved for hair removal from the cheekbones down so you can remove hair from:

  • upper lip
  • jaw/face
  • underarms
  • chest
  • stomach
  • bikini line
  • arms
  • legs
  • feet
  • anywhere else you might want to remove hair below the cheekbones

On exception would be no Brazilian style hair removal. They do not recommend using it on sensitive areas like genitals and nipples.

There are a list of “do not use” reasons for the device and what types of hair it will work for. I strongly suggest you check out the website for who can use the device and safety precautions. Check out the Q&A and FAQs section to help answer your questions before buying.

I will also be hosting a zoom party in March around March 13. So if you’d like an invite to the zoom party to ask questions and learn about the device just leave a comment and let me know. OR direct message me on one of my social media channels if you want to be be more discreet about it.

I’ve already done two treatment sessions. It’s super easy to use, it does not hurt at all. The safety features in place really make it easy to ensure you’re doing things right. I plan on doing an update post around the time of my zoom party. I also want to do another post in about 12 weeks as that is the average range for noticable permanent hair removal when sticking with the regimen. My first session took a little longer than the 2nd as I was just learning the device. All in all it only took me about 40 minutes to do ALL the areas I wanted treated.

That being said, I’ll give even more info on my next update and at my zoom party. If you have any questions now, just leave them in the comments and I’ll answer the ones I can.

Hosting a Board Game Night At Your Bar

Hosting a board game night at your bar can be a fun way to draw in a crowd, particularly if you have nights that are typically slow business nights. If your game nights are special events, be sure to advertise them well so people know to come. Here are a few other tips for using board games to boost your bar business.

Choose Great Games

When you offer games for your bar patrons to play, you’ll want to keep a few things in mind. First, choose games that can be completed fairly quickly. Monopoly is probably not a game people would choose to play when going out for the evening. Second, choose a wide variety of games. Some people like classic games like cribbage or backgammon. Others are into fantasy or strategy games. Having plenty of choices means everyone is likely to find something they can enjoy. Also, be sure to have some games that can be played by only two players, and some that can be enjoyed by a large group.

Offer Special Drinks

Once your bar has its liquor license Houston TX in place, you can start planning fun drink offerings. Creating a specialty, game-themed drink for the evening can get everyone in the board game mood. If one of your games is Clue, why not offer a bloody mary, or a specialty cocktail featuring blood orange? A rousing game of Apples to Apples would certainly be improved by an appletini or two. Offering special drink pricing at the beginning of the evening can encourage patrons to arrive early and get settled in.

Host a Competition

Some board games work quite well for a bracket-style tournament. You can plan a quick, one-night competition, or a multi-week series of tournament game nights, culminating in a final victory round. Think of games such as Scrabble or Parcheesi that can be learned easily by most people and require some amount of strategy, rather than just luck. Offering prizes is a sure way to bring in more competitors. Some venues choose to charge an entry fee, and others just count on increased sales for the evening. You can also choose to have teams register in advance, or let people join in at the last minute. Offering team-matching services can help include patrons who don’t already have a team to play with.

Offering your bar customers an evening of board game fun is a great way to increase patronage on an otherwise slow business night. A good selection of games and drinks will keep people coming back for more of both.

I’m Trying the Most Recommended Hemp CBD

It turns out I’ve become somewhat of a CBD oil connoisseur, self proclaimed. I’ve tried so many different brands of CBD oil. Some of them were really good, some of them were, meh. I’ve tried flavor and unflavored tinctures, CBD rubs/ointments, and sprays.

I take CBD to help with my anxiety, ulcerative colitis symptoms, and IBS. This is not medical advice, I just feel it helps me get some relief of some of my symptoms and helps with sleep.

I was contacted by Calm by Wellness to try their CBD. My favorite way to take CBD is via tincture with a few drops under the tongue. Flavored or unflavored it really doesn’t matter to me. I received a bottle of their tincture to try in strawberry lemon-aid flavor.

Before I accepted I had to do a little research. One thing I always worry about is any amount of THC. I’m a healthcare worker and mom of 4. I have no desire to be high or fail a drug test. Calm by Wellness products are 100% THC free.

Calm by Wellness grows their own hemp which is non-GMO certified, organic, and uses USDA certified seeds. They also have the highest level of food grade certification possible with ISO9001 and CGMP certification. There’s a lot more info on the Calm by Wellness About Us page.

They also advertise about features on different sites. Perhaps the most interesting to me was the article on the American Sleep Association site that included Calm by Wellness.

I took my first dose last night and again this morning. The strawberry lemon-aid flavor (I’m not misspelling it, that’s their flavor name) is pleasant. It’s not tart or overwhelming. It’s more of a subtle hint of flavor that made it pleasant to hold under my ton for a few seconds as you should with tinctures.

I’m gonna do an update post in about a week and let you know my continued feeling on Calm by Wellness CBD tincture. Until then, I encourage you to check out their site to learn more about them and a little more about CBD in general and decide for yourself if it’s for you.

CBD Oil Tinctures from Calm by Wellness provide all-day relief with delicious natural flavors

I received the sample at no cost in order to complete a review. Any opinions expressed are my own. This post is in no way providing medical advice, simply my opinions. I encourage you to do your own research and talk with a medical professional if you have questions or concerns. This post also contains affiliate links. Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania: A Virtual Walking Program

Penn State Extension has done it again with another fun program to help you stay fit. As a Pennsylvania native myself, this is particularly interesting to me. Do I have any Pennsylvania readers here?

Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania is a free virtual walking program designed to help participants meet their health goals this spring. The eight-week, semi-structured program encourages participants to increase their physical activity and develop healthy eating habits. The program will run from April 5 to May 24.

Participants can join individually or form teams of five with family, friends, coworkers or even the family dog. Since it is a virtual program, locations and times of walking can be customized completely: mornings at the local park, lunchtime at home or around the neighborhood in the evenings. The program also includes an exercise conversion chart to convert many activities into reportable miles.

Each team member will try to walk an average of 10 miles per week. Team captains will be asked to report the total number of miles walked, and all participants will receive weekly emails with motivators to keep walking and strategies for healthy eating.

The weekly emails are related to the program’s themes. This year, Penn State Extension is collaborating with the Penn State Cancer Institute to provide more information about health and wellness, heathy eating, chronic illness and cancer prevention resources and tips.

Of course, Penn State Extension encourages you to follow all CDC and local guidelines during the pandemic. They even offer helpful tips. Maybe instead of walking as a group consider calling a teammate on your cell while you walk and talk.

I would personally add that, if you’re going to be in an area around other people don’t forget your mask. I also keep hand sanitizer in my car just in case. If it’s too cold to walk, I’ll be logging the miles on my treadmill.

The last time that Penn State Extension did this they had 471 participants that logged over 62,000 miles in all. That’s an awesome job!

If you’re interested in participating, registration deadline is March 29. You can find out more info, and register here: https://extension.psu.edu/everybody-walk-across-pa

Oh I forgot to mention, it’s also a free program. What a fun way to kick up your fitness or add to your fitness goals. I’ll be participating for sure!
