Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask Like A Spa Treatment At Home

Pre-kids, I used to spend a long time on my beauty routine.  I would rarely leave my house without full make up on, I’d take one day a week to do facials on myself, I’d take long bubble baths taking my time and using scrubs and things to make my skin look and feel great.  Those days don’t really exist anymore.  With 4 kids I’m lucky if I can sneak away to the bathroom.  A shower is usually my only moment of solitude.  Not always though, my 20 month old daughter will sometimes stand outside the door and cry so I bring her in the bathroom with me while I shower.  Sometimes she even wants to climb in with me.  As much as I miss the days of me time I know I’ll look back and miss these days.

Until then, I try to grab some treatments after the kids go to bed or during nap time.  I’m long overdue for a facial.  I’ve often heard about the benefits of dead sea mud but never really tried any products that contained it.  Until now..

Blog 011

Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask and Dead Sea Mud soap are the products I got to try.  I’ve got to ask the question, how the heck is mud supposed to help my skin?   Adovia mud mask has the highest concentration of dead sea mud available.  There are over 21 minerals in the Adovia Dead Sea mud mask.  It also contains Aloe Vera, Vitamin C, jojoba oil, and ginseng.    I love the fact that it comes in a tube.  I have this weird thing about dipping my fingers in jars or pots and getting the product under my nails and stuff. Is it just me?

Anywho, I squeezed some of the mask out and started applying it to my face.  It honestly looks like gray mud.  It even kinda smelled like mud. As it started drying I could feel it tightening on my face.

Glamorous right?  Anywho, I have a time with black heads on my nose and pimples on my chin. Well, my “T zone” really is my trouble area.  The black heads on my nose annoy me the most.  I will sometimes use those pore strips but they’re so expensive for what they are.  For as tight as this mask got I was really hoping it would help with those annoying blackheads on my nose.  I has had a angry pimple on my chin at the time I put this mask on.

I removed the mask and I noticed almost right away that it really did remove many of the black heads on my nose.  The next day I noticed that that angry pimple on my chin had shrunk.  The redness and reduced noticeably.  I was super excited.  This bottle of Adovia Dead Sea mud mask has 30 applications.  That is way more bang for my buck than pore strips and other treatments I’ve tried.

They also sent me an Adovia Dead Sea Mud soap bar.  They actually told me I didn’t have to review it but I’m gonna.  Again, I had never tried dead sea mud product before this.  Wasn’t really sure how I’d feel about a mud soap bar.  Sounds like an oxymoron.  I did try it.  It didn’t really have any scent at all.  When I rubbed it on my wash cloth my wash cloth got the grayish color.  After washing my body with it though my skin felt surprisingly soft.

They also offer a 100% money back guarantee, no questions asked.  It’s 100% cruelty free too!

You can find Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask at Cleopatraschoice.com  Also, stop by Cleopatra’s Choice Facebook page and say hi!  By the way, for a limited time, when you buy the Adovia Dead Sea mud mask on Cleopatra’s Choice you get the Adovia Dead Sea Mud soap FREE!!  The mask is $27.22 right now you can save $10 by using code: luvsavingmoney

Get More Savings When You Buy Gift Cards At Giant Eagle #GE2xdip

This post is sponsored by Tatu Digital Media.  Any opinions expressed are my own.

It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving and Black Friday is upon us.  This crept up on me so fast! I realize I still have to get a few odds and ends for Thanksgiving dinner and get my sister a gift for her birthday.  I made plans to stop at Giant Eagle tomorrow to pick up some pumpkin pie filling.  I realized I could pick up a gift card for my sister while I’m there too.  Then I realized…hey while I’m at it I should grab some gift cards for Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping and for any other gifts I was planning on giving.

Why buy gift cards at Giant Eagle instead of anywhere else? Well that reason is simple.  For every $50 I spend on gift cards at Giant Eagle I earn 20 cents off per gallon of gas.  You read that right 20 cents off per gallon.  I’ve seen some savvy Giant Eagle shoppers paying next to nothing for filling up after buying gift cards or doing their regular grocery shopping from Giant Eagle.  With the gas prices dropping across the US, that could mean some seriously cheap fuel ups for buying gift cards you were going to get anyway.

Another reason to get gift cards, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Let me give you a for instance.  My son has an iPod Touch on his Christmas list.  I’ve been scoping prices and Best Buy has some good deals so I was planning on getting him the iPod Touch there.  I could buy $100 in Best Buy gift cards to buy that iPod touch and score 40 cents off per gallon (20 cents off for every $50 spent on gift cards). Yep, that’s really how it works.  They have tons of gift cards to choose from: Red Lobster, Amazon, GameStop, iTunes, and lots of others.

Brooklyn Bean Variety Pack Review

I have a Keurig Mini.  Love it, only thing I don’t like…the cost of some of the K-cups.  I’d love to try new flavors but what if I don’t like them?  I’ll pay the price if I know I like it.  That’s why I’m also hesitant to try brands I haven’t tried before. Brooklyn Beans has the really cool variety pack that has light, medium, and dark roasts that include: Breakfast Blend, Boardwalk Blend, Brooklyn Bridge, Colombian, Cyclone, Donut Shop, Fugheddaboutit and French Roast.

Brooklyn Beans cups

Brooklyn Beans has a 40 count variety pack.  The description said it includes 4 of each of the flavors listed above but mine also included: Vanilla Skyline, Coney Island Caramel, Cinnamon Subway, and Breakfast Blend Decaf that wasn’t listed in the description.  That’s awesome in my book because I do love the flavors! There is something for everyone in this box.  From the mild Breakfast Blend, to decaf, to the bold Fugheddaboutit! you’ll enjoy working your way through this box of Boston themed flavors.  I’m a fan of milder flavors and flavored coffees.  My one son likes coffee too but I usually only allow him decaf.  The first one I had to try was the Maple Sleigh.  I brewed a cup in my Keurig mini.  Oh could you smell the maple.  I couldn’t wait until it was done brewing to take a sip!

Brooklyn Beans maple sleigh

I just love me a fresh brewed cup of coffee!  The flavor of the Maple Sleigh was awesome.  I added a little bit of almond milk creamer just because I can’t drink black coffee but you could still taste the maple flavor of the coffee.   The next time I was ready for a cup I went for was the Vanilla Skyline.  Yep another winner.  This one had a milder vanilla flavor than the strength of the maple flavor but still good none-the-less. My son tried the Breakfast blend decaf and he said it was pretty good. Here’s a pic of all the flavors I received.  A lot right?  This would be the perfect variety pack to have on hand if you family coming to visit or stay with you.  As I said, something for everyone!

Blog 005

There’s so many flavors I’m still working my way through them. My father-in-law likes his coffee stronger so I had him try the Fuhgeddaboutit and he said it was pretty good.  Ok now I have to tell you another reason I like this variety pack. Other than the awesome flavors and the taste, a 40 count variety pack from Brooklyn Beans is only $22 on amazon!  Seriously.  I usually see  18-20 counts for that much but you get 40!!!

And if you already know you don’t like the darker roasts or the milder roasts there are variety packs just for you!  You can get a bold or breakfast blends too!  I highly recommend the one I got though.  I’m enjoying trying all the yummy flavors!  I do need to tell you that these aren’t compatible with Keurig 2.0 brewers.

Dream Team Pets Review

I received the below mentioned product as part of the US Family Guide blogger program.  Any opinions expressed are my own.

Holiday Guide 2014

Do you have trouble getting your child to sleep through the night? Do they have a fear of the dark?  Do they wake easy? Dream Team Pets may look like a cute and soft stuffed animal that comes with a book but it’s really a sleep training tool.

dream team lion

My youngest son has his own room.  His older brothers share a room because it’s a much bigger room.  My youngest son used to be good about going to bed in his own room. Then they got into this “sleepover” thing where he’d want to sleep in their room.  I would let him about once a week but after a while he wanted to more and more.  I decided it wasn’t good because he needed to learn to sleep in his own bed.  The one day he told me he was “scared” in his room by himself which he had never said to me before.  I wasn’t sure if it was an excuse for a sleep over or if it was the truth.

When I was a little girl, I used to be afraid of the dark.  My dad used to line stuffed animals up around our bed and tell us (my sister and I) that they would protect us. It worked for the most part.  I wasn’t really sure how a Dream Team Pet would do much better than a regular stuffed animal.

The idea of a the Dream Team Pet is that they are “trained” to protect kids from nightmares and things.  The book tells about what they do and what your child has to do to protect them and make sure they have a good night sleep.  There’s a little pledge they do each night to remind “their pet” of what they are supposed to do.  Each pet comes with a certificate. When your child is able to sleep through the night without nightmares they get to put a sticker on the Dream Team Pet’s certificate of training.  Once they get 7 days in a row, your child’s pet is officially trained.  If your child does have  a nightmare or doesn’t stay in bed your child will know their Dream Team Pet still needs training. The responsibility is put on the Dream Team Pet rather than your child feeling like they did it.

My son got Mighty Lion to review.  He was soft to touch but firm enough for a good squeeze or cuddle.  Also able to sit up well to “guard” his bed..that’s what we did anyway.

2014 011

At first I don’t think my son was that into it.  I mean, he liked having a new stuff animal to cuddle but the routine of reading the book each night and then getting to put the sticker on the Dream Team Pet’s certificate is what really got him into it I think.  We talked about it . I’d ask him if his Dream Team Pet did a good job helping him sleep and he’d say yes.   This would make a great gift for a child that could use some help sleeping at night.
