We’ve been in our new home for just a little over a year.  I still feel like this house was meant to be ours. It’s everything we wanted and then some. It’s amazing how everything fell into place the way it did. We were the first ones to call about it, the first ones to see it, the first ones to put an offer on it. Without even haggling the sellers threw the price out we had in our heads. Just the right amount of bedrooms, I got my kitchen, hubby got his garages, a bigger yard…oh truly we are so happy with our home.

When we moved in we didn’t want to just decorate and furnish our home with just anything. It’s the home we wanted, we wanted to do it right. BUT we’re a family of 6. Of course we had a budget we had to stay within. My mission became to find what I wanted in the price we needed. Even if it meant I had to search for a couple weeks to find things.  The curtains were a big thing.  We needed more curtains and I had ideas of what I wanted things to look like. I didn’t want to just throw anything up on the windows. So one place I looked to help make our new house a home was Groupon Goods.

The kitchen was going to be a gathering place. The counters had a granite look with red speckles in it. The door was a sort of cream color. I decided to go with a gold color with hints of red. I searched and searched for the right curtains and I think I found them.

In the living room I could have done just about any color I wanted.  This living room was going to double as my work space for my blog. I wanted it to be comfortable and inviting. I wanted natural light when possible. Between the couch and coffee table we chose I decided to go with a lavender/white/black color scheme.

I’m a mom of 4 and I work outside my home. My 3 oldest boys are school age and I have a toddler at home. My boys all play football at different levels. One is in his 1st year of youth football, one is playing middle school football, and one is playing JV/Varsity football. You know what that means? That means 3 different football practices, 4 different game days, and kids that need to be in different places at one time. Sometimes I don’t have time to prepare a home cooked meal.

Another reason to take advantage of this deal? Unexpected guests. Over the summer and on the weekends my boys seem to have a constant stream of friends coming over. I’ll throw some Tyson Any’tizers in the oven and throw out a Sara Lee pie and everyone’s happy. We’ve been known to host a few Super Bowl parties too! This picture here was from the big game in January this year. I think we had 30 people total show up. Everyone brought some type of dish. I had finger sandwiches. We also made up a bunch of Tyson chicken fingers and boneless wings to serve. When you’re preparing food for that many people in your home, it’s always a good idea to have these products on hand.
