2021 April Showers Giveaway

Did you know April is Earth Month? It’s true. Earth day is Thursday April 22 this year. There are so many things we can do to do better for our planet.

Some simple things to try:

  • picking up litter when we see it
  • choosing reusable over one-time use when possible
  • choosing more eco-friendly options as a for instance, sometimes it’s a lot less work or more feasible to use disposable utensils but there are tons of options for biodegradable options such as bamboo, avocado pit, and even cornstarch.
  • Getting plastic bowls for the kids is understandable but after time they get worn out or grow out of them. One option I love is Coconut Bowls. Save some money with my coupon code: 7E85E4E1
  • Shop from companies that use sustainable practices, offer eco-friendly packaging, or are making efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. Need some ideas?

Coconut Bowls – Use coupon code: ANGELA-COCO-953 to save money

Girlfriend Collective – an eco-friendly and sustainable activewear brand offering things like legging made from recycled fishing nets, 100% recycled and recyclable shipping, tees made from cupro which is waste that the cotton industry leaves behind, and more. They’re also a body positive company features models of all shapes, sizes, and abilities.

Simply Earth – essential oil recipe box teaching you to make your own toxin free cleaning products, beauty products, and more. They’re oils are sourced from small ethical farms. 13% of their profits also goes to charities in the fight to end human trafficking. Use code: ANGELABEECHANFREE to get a free big box when you do the recipe box subscription.

That’s just a few ideas. I’d love to know some of your simple acts to be more earth friendly.

I’m also excited to be a Coconut Bowls ambassador. Check out my instagram from April 13 – April 22 I’ll be sharing earth friendly tips, letting you know about giveaways from Coconut Bowls, and hosting my own giveaway for your chance to win some earth friendly stuff!

  1. I recycle and I’ve been teaching my kids all about the importance of recycling! Thank you for the opportunity!

  2. I try to help the earth by recycling, using reusable bags and participating in our local Green Up day.

  3. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! We are big on using environmental friendly packaging in our house. And I’m hopefully to switch to an electric vehicle soon…

  4. We try to recycle, reuse and compost as much as possible. We also grow a lot of our own vegetables.

  5. The easiest way for me to help the Earth is to eat less meat and to use a water filter rather than purchase bottled water.

  6. We recycle and compost our household waste as much as possible. I am in NY where we have a plastic bag ban but I really felt no change in my shopping because I have used fabric shopping bags for years. Though on a side note, I think it will be quite a long while before we see the plastic bag ban have any real effect here. You can still buy paper bags at the register in most stores and people just are not used to remembering to bring their bags to the store. Paper bags are their own problem.

  7. One easy way I try to help the earth is to not fly anywhere. Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. I recycle as much as I can, and I love to upcycle things like clothing and a few other items.

  9. Recycling. We recycle the plastic that is accepted in our area, glass, cardboard, and we have a wood stove so we burn all paper products.

  10. We cloth diaper, use reusable products, and try to plant flowers that feed the pollinators.

  11. I love Simply Earth. I use their products (and ones I make from their stuff) every day.
    Thanks for the contest.

  12. We have a separate can for recycling, so it’s pretty easy to recycle everything!

  13. I recycle and try to reduce waste whenever possible. I have a water purifier pitcher to avoid using disposable water bottles.

  14. I reuse bags, and containers. When I do not need my old books, or a chair, old dishes I resale or give to Goodwill, so some one else can use it. Old clothes that look new go to families in need. There is so much more .

  15. I try to help the Earth by recycling, using reusable bags and I stopped buying water bottles a couple of years ago.

  16. I reuse bags and containers all the time, I have a lot of legumes and they all are in pretty little ex pasta and salsa jars.

  17. Each member of family has a reusable water bottle we take to school and work. We bring cloth bags to the grocery store. We pick up trash when taking hikes. I raise Atlantic salmon with my students.

  18. I conserve energy and water, reduce waste and reuse things but being vegan has been my biggest impact.

  19. By being vegan. going vegan reduces CO2 and reduces a lot of beef farms that could have been lush forests.

    Thanks

  20. When possible, I like to walk to local stores & restaurants instead of driving. And I always try to recycle as much of what I’m done with as I can!
