It’s that time of year.  You’ll see pumpkin patches, hay rides, haunted trails, hay mazes, corn mazes, and just about anything else for fall on a farm.  We love going to places like this.  One of our favorite places to go is Vale Wood Farms in Loretto, PA.  They add things every year and we love to get our pumpkins there.  We also enjoy stopping in their dairy store to get fall ice cream flavors like pumpkin pie and apple pie.  Yum.

Ito En Tea’s Tea Is Your Greener and Healthier Drink Option

**I received 3 bottle of Ito En Teas Tea in order to complete this post. No other compensation has been received**

I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing Ito En Tea’s Tea in the past.  It’s all natural tea that comes in many different flavors and varieties.  Tea’s Tea uses the best green tea leaves.  As I’ve mentioned before in previous reviews, this is some of the cleanest, smoothest tasting teas I’ve every tried.

Now Ito En Tea’s Tea is even greener than before.  They’ve redesigned their bottles to reduce the carbon footprint by making it the lightest bottle available in ready to drink teas.  It weighs only 18.7 grams compared to 24 grams that most other bottles weigh.   Not only does the reduction in weight reduce the carbon footprint with the PET 1 plastic but it’s also reduces fuel expenses for transportation.  This change has been made on all the bottles including the half  sweetened flavors that my kids love.

This is my youngest son drinking the Ito En Tea’s Tea Half and Half lemon flavor.  I had hoped to get a sip so I could try it but he enjoyed it so much he drank the whole thing.  No kidding.  My guess is, it was good lol.

No worries though, I was able to drink the Tea’s Tea unsweetened Jasmine Tea.  I’ve had the pleasure of tying this one before. It has a little bit more, “grown up” taste so the kids tend to let me have this one.  I really like it though.  When you open the bottle you get a lovely mix of a fresh Jasmine and green tea scent.  The flavor is so clean and crisp.  I love sipping on this while I work.

My oldest son tried the Tea’s Tea unsweetened green and white tea.  Something I learned about this tea, white tea is one of the rarest teas in the world.  It is also the least processed form of tea in India and China.  It’s rare because young tea leaf buds (not tea leaves) so they are handpicked.

Something else I think is very cool. Ito En had estimated it was producing 42,000 tons of used tea leaves in 2013 while making it’s delicious tea. While a lot of it was already being used for natural fertilizer and in animal feed, they wanted to find more ways to reuse the used tea leaves.  Working with other companies they found a way to use used teal leaves as a construction material!   Some of the items they were able to make with used tea leaves include:

–boards for making tatami mats (Japanese floor mats)
–environmental synthetic resin which is used in a lot of things like ball point pens, park benches, even ecofriendly vending machines!

Tea Vending Machine
–paper products used in cardboard boxes, in fact, Ito En uses cardboard boxes made from used tea leaves as a packaging material.
–Plaster board which can be used in construction material for things like interior insulation and more.
So the next time you want a refreshing ready to drink green tea, reach for an Ito En Tea’s Tea product. You’ll get a superior tasting tea and know you chose a product whose company cares about our earth.
You can find Ito En Tea’s Tea on the following social networks:
Twitter: @TeasTea_
To purchase Ito En Tea’s Tea you can visit the Ito En website.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Unsplurge A New Way To Save

**I have a chance to win an influencer gift certificate for this post.  No other compensation has been received**

We all need to save money for something.  Maybe you’re trying to bill your cushion in your savings account.  Perhaps you’re saving for a nice down payment on a car or house.  Maybe it’s just that pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing up.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a friendly nudge to say, hey don’t give up.  Did you put any money away this week?  Don’t forget this ::insert picture or quote:: will be a lot more satisfying that going to McDonald’s tonight.

Well you can have that plus keep track of what you have saved and get support from others that are trying to do the same thing with the Unsplurge app.

Unsplurge is a free app for your iphone or ipad.  Download the app, register, and set a goal.  You can actually set more than one goal if you like.  Take a picture of that new bike you want and it will show up in your goals for motivation.  You can also see your progress of how much you saved.

I decided to set my goal for holiday shopping. Hey it could be whatever you want. Me, I refuse to use credit cards for holiday shopping.  I put a number in my head I think I’m going to need to be able to get nice gifts for all the kids, hubby, and my dad and go from there.

The app was really easy to use and set up.  I liked that you can choose other people to support and give them words of encouragement and like their goals.  It’s kind of interesting to see what others are saving for too.  Everything from weddings and houses to a dinner out at a restaurant.  No goal is too big or too small!

If you have friends using splurge, you can add them too or invite your friends from facebook and encourage each other.

I think this app is a great idea.  I need all the motivation I can get.

Besides iTunes, you can also find Unsplurge on the following social media sites:
Twitter: @unsplurge
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Unsplurge

Unsplurge is also having a contest.  Download the Unsplurge app.  Then either email your username to: chris@unsplurge.com OR tweet your unsplurge username to @unsplurge by Saturday September 21 for your chance to win one of three $40 Amazon gift certificates and a custom money jar with the Unsplurge logo!

ProSkin Results from Week 3

**I received a pair of Proskin leggings to complete the 28 day Blogger challenge.  No other compensation has been received**

I  know it’s a little late. Last week was, let’s just say, the wrong week to be taking measurements if you know what I mean.  I was extremely bloated and I always put on a couple pounds at that time.  It happens every time.  I didn’t really feel it would be accurate and fair to record my measurements at that time.  Maybe it’s wrong, but that’s the way I feel about it.

So now that the bloating is done and I’m back to my normal self for a few weeks I decided to take measurements now.  So here we go, on with the week 3 progress, hopefully.

Belly: 34 inches (stayed the same from last measurements)
Hips:  38 inches (woohoo that’s an inch and a half difference from the last one)
Top of Thighs: 23 inches (stayed the same)
Widest part of Thigh: 22 inches (stayed the same)
Above knee: 15.5 inches (stayed the same)
Below knee: 12.75 inches (stayed the same)
Widest part of calf: 13.5 inches (stayed the same)

So really the only change this week seems to be my hips but I’ll take it.

Now it’s time for the weight, let’s see

Wow I’m down to 135.4 from 137 last post.

You can see last week’s measurements here: http://angiewith2.blogspot.com/2013/08/week-2-proskin-update.html
