Luv Saving Money – Page 757 – Life on a Budget

My Experience with Points2Shop

Before blogging, I was still a freebie and deal fanatic. I loved finding sites to earn some free money, getting samples delivered to me in the mail.  I tried a number of sites.  I had used CashCrate.  It was ok and I did get some money from it.  I just didn’t like that the offers weren’t all in the up and up.  IE those get a free $1000 Walmart gc just complete X amount of offers and give us all your personal info so we can spam you for the rest of your life type offers.  BUT I made those choices and I did get some money.

Well then I had tried Points2Shop.  About the same deal and I was earning pretty quickly and was excited about it.  But then I noticed that there was another site linked to their site at the time called Cashle.  Honestly I don’t even know if Cashle still exists but it did at the point of my experience.  Well heck I signed up for that to.  Then all of a sudden my earning amount changed and I was blocked on the site from completing some offers.

To cut to the chase I emailed them to find out what was going on.  They told me I violated policies because I had more than one account.  I had no idea what they were talking about. I only had one Points2Shop account.  I ended up finding out that even though they advertised Cashle on the site and linked to it, because they owned both sites I couldn’t sign up for both.  It said nothing about it in the policy.  It did say you couldn’t have more than one account on Points2Shop but I did not realize that they meant on both of their sites.  I argued it and exchanged emails with customer service.  Customer service was extremely rude and as far as they were concerned I was someone trying to work the system and they were glad to be rid of me.

One rude email they sent told me they’d consider fixing my account if I deleted the Cashle account and I had to send over my drivers license number and all this other info that I felt was very unnecessary.  Of course I refused to do it.  I never got a single dime from them with all the offers I completed. I never was able to access my account again.

I realize there are some people out there that do try to work the system.  I made an honest mistake due to unclear policy but they did not feel they did anything wrong and didn’t seem to care about their users.

I’m posting this now because with at least one of my affiliate networks there is an opportunity to promote them to earn money.  Quite frankly points2shop can keep there money.  Every time I see the name I remember the rude emails and the way I was treated.  This took place in 2009 so it’s been a few years.  I’d hope that it’s improved.  Still it left a bad enough taste in my mouth to not be able to recommend the site.

Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella, Beyaz Class Action Lawsuit

**This post does contain an affiliate link**

I’ve personally never used the birth control Yaz but I know some that have.  There is currently a class action lawsuit forming for those that have used Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella, or Beyaz and have been injured or experienced serious side effects from the use of these prescriptions.

I don’t usually post these types of offers but I saw that there were actually people that had unfortunately been effected by these pills and they did receive a sizable settlement.  I’m not a big believer in suing people/companies or anything like that.  I’ve never done it in my life but I feel when a product or prescription causes serious harm to someone when it’s not supposed to then that person has to deal with that along with medical bills that they shouldn’t have to.
So in the off chance one of my readers went through this and could use some help, I wanted to post it.  It must be a serious request because a lawyer will contact you to see if you qualify for the class action suit.

Free Online Chore Chart and Money Tool for Children

**This post does contain affiliate links**

I had actually done a sponsored post about MyJobChart.com not too long ago.  MyJobChart is a free online job chart to use with your children.  It’s not just an online job chart though, it’s a free tool to teach children about money and responsibility.  It’s not too early to start teaching your children about fiscal responsibility and working hard to earn money for the things they want and need.

The site is free, easy to use, and easy to understand.

There is Now a FabKidsBoys! 50% Off Your First Outfit

**This post does contain affiliate links**

I’ve seen the FabKids site before.  I was as a mom of 3 boys who only just had her first girl, I was a little disappointed to not see cute outfits offered by FabKids for boys too.  Well that has changed, they now have a FabKidsBoys!

This is exciting for me because I enjoy having boys so much (and my daughter too of course) and I like to dress my boys up cute and fun too.  It seems like a lot of clothing selection is geared towards girls in the stores.  I’m definitely going to take advantage of the 50% off your first outfit from FabKidsBoys.

With services like these, I’m definitely one to read the details to answer my “yea but” and “what if” questions.  Of course my first thought as an experience mom with a LEGO lover is “yea but what if he loses pieces (which will inevitably happen) I bet I have to pay for the whole set don’t I?”  In looking over the site though, right on the homepage it says “no charge for missing pieces”.  That just eliminated my biggest concern.  I also looked at the “questions” section of the site and it looked like others had the same question but it’s been reassured several times on their site.
