I received the below mentioned product to review and include in the Holiday Guide. Any opinions expressed are my own. Giveaway is sponsored by World Vision.

Holiday Guide 2015

You know that person on your list who has everything? Or your grandmother who says “I don’t want anything, if you want to do something just make a donation to a charity for me” Or maybe you decide on a charity to make a donation to each holiday and you’re trying to decide which one to choose.  For all of these, my suggestion would be World Vision.

World Vision is a philanthropic charity that allows you to choose a level of donation depending on your budget. You can choose for your donation to go right here to needs in the US, choose needs in 3rd world countries, or just make a donation and choose to have them put it where it’s needed the most.

Let’s say your budget is $25.  Well there’s a lot of good you can do with $25.  You could donate 2 chickens to a hungry family in a 3rd world family.  This provides nutrition to families. And because chickens are easy to breed, it’s a gift that can keep on giving. Or for $25 you could choose to have it go in to help by a sewing machine to help bring women out of poverty by allowing them to make a living as a seamstress and learn a skill. You can provide care for 1 child providing things like nutritious food, clothing, or counseling. OR $25, thanks to donations from clothing manufacturers, can buy $300 worth of necessities for a child right here in the US.  Of course if you budget is bigger there are tons of choices for that too.  For $18 you can feed a family of 5 for a day!

If you’re someone who isn’t opposed to the idea of giving a charitable donation in someone’s name as a gift but really kinda want to also give them a gift, there’s options for that too. When you donate $45 or more you can have the option of choosing a Mango Wood beaded bracelet as a gift that you can then give to your recipient. Wouldn’t it be nice to give them a handcrafted gift with a note to let them know you made a donation to a needy family? Or a donation of $75 or more you could choose an Ethiopia Sumatra coffee blend complete with an olive wood spoon to give the your recipient.  $100 donation could get you a Vietnamese tote to give. An $85 donation could get you a sliver vines cuff to give like the one I received to review.

World Vision Holiday 2015

This is a beautifully made cuff bracelet crafted by artisans in India. It’s adjustable and made well.  Initially looking at it, I thought, there’s no way this going to fit my wrist.  But it does have a little stretch to it to allow you to get it onto your wrist but have it stay on once it’s on.  There are a few hand crafted gorgeous pieces to choose from if you like, to go along with your donation.  I also thought the Royal Silk scarf was beautiful too.  Or the Christmas Star ornament.  You don’t have to choose a gift to received if you don’t want to but the option is there.

  1. If money weren’t an issue then Build a School donation would be what I would do because education is very important.

  2. If money were no object I’d donate to the $600 Worth of Necessities in the USA. Everyone should have the basic necessities

  3. If money were no object I would want to donate the hand pump tools and training setup and the animal of the month package, clean water is soooo essential and is something we often take for granted but in places like those it can be the difference between life and death and is a very needed necessity that is often overlooked by people when donating so this is top of my list. And the animal of the month provides a wide variety of animals that can do a wide variety of things for a bunch of people, from Eggs to milk, fiber, cheese, meat, these animals can provide a very large amount of support for a long time. This company has so many ways to help people…. And I absolute love the silver cuff, thanks for the chance to win

  4. If money was no object I’d donate to all the categories! I would start with the “Ending Poverty in America” section.

  5. If money were no object I’d buy numerous Bibles so that children and their families around the world could read and learn about the love of Christ and his sacrifice for them on the cross!!

  6. If money were no object… there would be no point in making a choice. Decisions are based upon our limitations. Clean drinking water and safe basic food for everyone should be a minimum.

  7. I would donate the 6 hand pumps repair kits and training! Everyone on earth need access to clean water!

  8. If money was no issue I would donate to a cause that helps build smart, confident and independent young women. It would teach them about domestic oppression and abuse, as what to do if they find themselves in those situations.

  9. If money was no object I would love to donate money towards helping young women attain education and opportunities to better their lives.

  10. I would love to stock a clinic. I work in healthcare so that is an area that is dear to my heart.

  11. I would love to buy a Deep Well and Hand Pump. Clean water is so important! kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you.

  12. If there was no limit I would choose a few. One of the top ones would be poverty in America.

  13. if money was no object there are so many local charities id give to. the salvation army, local churches, food banks, book drives, schools…the list is endless. I would definitely start right here in my hometown. there are so many people that could use a helping hand

  14. Well, if money were truly no object, I would put equal amounts in all of the “Where Most Needed” categories.

  15. If money was no object, I would choose one or two from each category, especially looking at vulnerable children, and even building a home for them.

  16. I would donate 2,362 for 28 Farm Animals! That is what I would do if money were no object.

  17. I’ve always wanted to sponsor a child, which I saw was an option through this site, so I would definitely do that!

  18. If I had the money I send all of them. To pick just one is very hard. The gifts that touched me the most were the ones that Help girls & women.

  19. I’d donate to educational initiatives that help low-income and other at-risk students get access to better educational resources.

  20. I would start with the “Ending Poverty in America” section. and there would be clean water world wide.

  21. If money were no object, I’d donate 1,000 for 12,000 worth of clothes for kids in the US or overseas.
