I know this is a rather morbid post but I feel it needs to be posted.

Junie’s Trinkets on Facebook is holding an auction to help raise money.  Her friend’s 4 year old nephew drown and the the family needs help paying for funeral expenses.  I could not imagine a loss like that and hope I never have to know the feeling.

There are many beautiful items that have been donated for the auction.  I donated some of my handmade candles and many others have come together to raise money for this cause.   Please consider bidding in the auctions.
They start tomorrow 4/19 and end Sunday 4/25.

If you prefer not to bid and just want to donate money directly to the family via paypal, you can use this email address to paypal the money to:   RichieV.2011@gmail.com

Little Richie was from Utah.  His story was in a Utah paper:   http://www.abc4.com/news/local/story/Child-dies-after-falling-into-Utah-Lake/1Cdln3lZYUun5uENrucLXQ.cspx

and Obit: http://aurora-24444.tributes.com/show/Richard-Valenzuela-91308440

ALL proceeds from the auction will be going to the family of little Richie.

If you are not able to bid or donate, consider helping in another way like sharing the story so that others might be able to help

I went to Dollar General today. I decided to buy my toddler a small $2 car as a reward today. It was a very cute car for the price.

He wanted the car out of the little box so bad.  When we got home his older brother tried to take it out of the box for him to play with only to discover that there is a small screw securing the car to the box.  The only way to get the car out of the box without ruining it was to remove the screw.  The screw was small, only slightly larger than a eye glass screw.  It was also deep in the plastic.  It took me 10 minutes and searching in the tool drawer and basement to find a screwdriver small enough to get at the screw.  All the while my toddler is screaming for his car.

Now I’m asking this seriously, Is it REALLY necessary to package a $2 car like that?

I saw reviews for Jamberry Nails. I though they were a really cool idea. Nail designs that adhere to your nails with a blow dryer and last 2 weeks. There are lot of neat colors and designs. I was kind of wishy washy about buying them. Then I saw that DealPulp had a deal on them today.

They’re normally $15 for a set but today DealPulp has them for $6 each. Also, DealPulp usually has that you can only buy 1 of the deals for yourself and 1 deal for a friend. With the Jamberry Nails deal today though you can buy 2 for yourself and up to 2 for a gift if you like.

I jumped on this one and thought you might be interested too.
