I was getting ready to shut down my computer for the night. When hubby exclaims “Bin Laden is Dead?!” I was confused, I hadn’t heard that. Sure enough there in my yahoo headlines is that very phrase.
As a general rule of thumb I don’t like to celebrate death but I think I can make an exception for this moment. How many troops have been away from their families, years of Bin Laden hiding away like the coward he is. Our troops finally got him!
While it’s a victory I know it’s not the end of it. There are more nuts to come. We can be happy to finally get the one that started 9/11.
My husband spent a number of years in Iraq doing his time to fight in this war. He’s been home for a few years thankfully but there are many who are not.
Regardless of what politcal beliefs one follows I think we can all unite to thank our troops for this moment and take pride in America.
I’m off to watch our president speak now. Just had to make this post for such a milestone in this long war.
I found out about Heartsy from one of my fave etsy shops, Concrete Minerals. They were asking for likes for their deal. If they got enough likes then they would be able to offer a deal on their mineral makeup on Heartsy.
I really didn’t know what kind of deal it would really be. Specific to Concrete Minerals I still don’t know yet. I signed up for Heartsy and their email updates. There are some really good deals on hand made items.
For example, today’s deals include:
–$8 for $20 in cosmetics from Simplicity Cosmetics etsy shop
–$13 for $30 online store credit for Stephanie Fizer Coleman Illustration and paper goods
–$20 for $40 credit at teaworkscottage
–$22 for $50 at YSM Design (handmade jewelry)
–$10 for $23 at JenSanCandles
–$18 for $48 online store credit at Marolsha (handmade jewelry)
There are a limited number of vouchers available each day. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. I thought these were some pretty good discounts for handmade items.
Plus if you sign up through this link: http://heartsy.me/users/60382/referral you get a $5 credit.

Hi everyone. I had a unique opportunity and wanted to share it with you. There’s a mall near Pittsburgh called The Mall of Robinson. They are having an eco-living event tomorrow for everyone.
They are also having an eco-challenge game show and guess who’s going to be a contestant. Winner gets a $510 gc to the mall which would be so nice.
None of my family will be able to go. I had to get a sitter for the kids. So…if you are around the area tomorrow close to 1:00 stop by the Mall of Robinson and cheer me on. I’d so appreciate it!
Find the Mall of Robinson on Facebook and read about their eco-living event.
