For those who don’t know, Giant Eagle is a grocery chain here in the north east.  To be honest, I don’t shop there much because I find they’re prices are much higher on most the items I buy compared to other places I shop.  Giant Eagle is convenient to me though so if I just need to pick up a couple things and have some coupons,  I’ll stop there. 

I just learned today that you can load coupons to your Giant Eagle advantage card . Maybe it’s because I don’t shop there as often or maybe it’s new I don’t know.  Anywho, if you go to www.gianteagle.com and register your Giant Eagle advantage cards, it will save the coupons on your card and automatically take off the deductions at the register.  The website says that a Giant Eagle advantage card can store up to 45 coupons on your card.   Go to the eoffers section on the site or you can click this link to take you directly to the eoffers page: http://www.gianteagle.com/save/eoffers

There were a few decent coupons I clipped that I will most likely use: $1.00 off Luvs diapers, $2.00 pampers cruisers, .75 off Pledge multi-surface are some examples.  Maybe I’ll make a few more trips to Giant Eagle now.  Well that and their FREE antibiotics program at the pharmacy and the Fuelperks and Foodperks programs.  Hmm come to think of it, Giant Eagles not too bad at all.

bareMinerals offers a variety of cleanser for your skin care needs.  The cleanser I think I’d most like to try would be the Deep Cleansing Foam.  It’s a rich cleanser that cleans down deep into pores.  I’m prone to breakouts in my T-zone so I think this one would be great for me.  It’s non-drying which for me is also a plus.  I also get dry itchy winter skin.  Other cleansers often dry out my skin.  So no pimples but then I get flakes. I’m thinking this might be the ticket for me.

In the moisturizers category, there is one for combination skin like mine. bareMinerals Purely Nourishing moisturizer.  This moisturizer is a hard working it seems.  It moisturizes, firms, improves elasticity and over all skin texture.  Ok sign me up.

As for the treaments, I’d have to go with the bareMinerals blemish therapy I noted earlier in the post for reasons I’ve already stated.

I dress my toddler for his comfort and for my ease.  Trying to dress my 21 month is sometimes a chore in itself.  He’s trying to fun after a toy while I’m trying to put his pants on.  I gave up on trying to put a button down shirt on him as soon as he started walking. I want him to look cute and put together but I want it to be easy to do. 

I received a cute skull burst belt and wrist cuff for my toddler to review from Bugalug. The belt was very easy to pt on my toddler thread it through a loop and snap in place.  The matching skull burst wrist cuff is a toddler accessory I hadn’t seen before.  Again it was easy to apply.  My toddler marveled at the wrist cuff for a while.  He figured out how to take it off in about 5 min.  It would be great to put on him for, say a trip to the doctor’s office though.  I think it would be a source of entertainment.

As much as I love to spend time with my boys I know that it’s important for my boys to have father/son time. Boys need that time to just be boys.  I saw that the E3 Spark Plugs Monster Truck Nationals was coming to our area.  That had father and son time written all over it.   Think about it: boys and boys-at-heart, mud, big trucks, loud engines, and destruction.  Am I right? 

My oldest 2 boys are from my first marriage.  I know that they enjoy their time with me but they don’t get to spend as much time with the dad as they’d like to.  I asked their dad if he’d like to take them to the Monster Truck Nationals show on Apr. 2.  He said he could.  Now my 7 yr old is excited about it.  My 8 yr old wasn’t so sure until I old him there was also a Pit Party before the show actually starts.  He says “Count me in!”

I think the Monster Truck National will be an event that they’ll remember for a long time.  It’ll be one of those “Hey dad, remember that one time we saw that Monster Truck show and…” 

I’ll find out for sure though. They’ll be heading to the show April 2nd in State College, PA.  Look for my review after the event. 

And now a light-hearted: My Top 5 reasons for a father/son Monster Truck Nationals night out:

1.  Because it’ll get your kids and hubby away from the cartoons on TV.

2.  Because they can feel free to make whatever bodily noises they need to, no one will hear them anyway.

3.  Because they’ll feel free to enjoy themselves a little more.  Mom’s not there to say:
“oh my someone’s gonna get hurt”
“son stop screaming, use your inside voice”
“Dear! Don’t encourage that!”
“No that soda and nachos isn’t healthy, Why don’t you get some water and carrots sticks?”
“Do those trucks really need to be that loud?” 
 I could really keep going here.

4.  Because boys/guys love machines, loud noise, and destruction, at least if they’re here they’re not destroying your freshly cleaned house for a while.

5.  Maybe the most important reason: father and son will both enjoy it and it’ll be ok if they act their age.
