Hope Line by Miche , Bags for a Cause

This post is brought to you by Miche

Everybody is affected in one way or another by cancer. This is the reason the Hope line by Miche was

created. The Hope line is a very vital and important part of the Miche brand. These bags are inspired

by real people who have been or currently are fighting cancer. The Hope line features bags and jewelry

and is a great way to show your support and stay trendy. A portion of the proceeds from these bags

and jewelry go to support cancer research and other charitable causes. At least one month out of each

year, a different charity is selected and a portion of the Hope proceeds goes to that cause. This year, the

selected organization is The National Domestic Violence Hotline. This hotline is available to those who

suffer under the hands of an abuser. It’s not always easy to change and leave in a situation like that, but

with support from the hotline, it makes it more possible.

Show your support by getting yourself a new bag and helping to promote this cause. This line of

products is made especially with those in mind who are fighting for survival. The Shells and jewelry

feature the words faith, hope, love, and other motivational words as inspiration to everyone that sees

them. We all could use a reminder that there is still faith, hope, and love out there, so why not help

and be stylish at the same time? When you purchase an item from the Hope line, a tag will be attached

containing a picture and personalized quote by a very special person who has fought and won their own

personal battle with cancer.

The Hope red bags feature a very modern and artistic print that will demand the question, “Where did

you get your bag?” from many on-lookers. Carry one of these bags and share the inspiring words and

messages they offer with everyone you know. There are several styles to choose from in many different

colors and sizes. In keeping with Miche fashion, change your look as easily and often as with any other

Miche bag. Get yourself all of the Shells from the Hope collection and change your bag almost as often

as you change your shoes. Many people benefit from your new bag, including you! You get a fun, cute

purse and you made a contribution to a great cause at the same time.

While you’re doing your part by purchasing a new bag, why not add some jewelry to go with it?

Our Hope charms will add flare to you and your bag. The Hope Charmer will clip on to any bag and

will complete every look. It features different colored beads and charms, including a hope charm,

which makes it the eclectic piece it is. The Hope Clover Accent is part of the interchangeable jewelry

collection. It magnetically connects to the Miche necklaces and adds a little something to any outfit. Be

sure to check out the Hope line from Miche and shop with a great cause.

Wall Art Prints from Minted

**I will be received a credit to Minted for this post.  No other compensation has been received**

We’re in the process of giving our bathroom a facelift. Our house is very old and a lot of the decor is decades old.  We put some wainscoting around the wall and I chose a nice lavendar color for the top of the wall.  We got some new flooring to put down and a new bathroom set.  Even some new lighting and soon new shelving.  The one thing I think, that will finish it off is a nice piece of wall art.  I know just where I want to hang it.  But where to find nice wall art that doesn’t break the bank?

Minted has a nice selection of beautiful wall art.  Everything from black and white pictures to abstract looks.  They have wall art that would be just right for the kitchen, a kid’s bedroom, or anywhere really.  I was looking over to see if they had something that would fit in with the color and style of my bathroom.  They had lots of things for me to go with.  Depending on which direction I wanted to go, I kinda like this one:

What’s nice about Minted is that you can choose from an option of sizes.  You can choose if you want it framed or not.  If you do want it framed, you can choose the color of your frame.  Some of them, like the one I picked above, even have 3 different color schemes you can choose from.

While browsing through this one caught my eye as well.  I guess it’s because it’s been so cold here in PA.  I loved to get the biggest one they have and maybe put it in our bedroom. Maybe with the natural premium wood frame so it looks like sand or maybe the charcoal finish so it looks like drift wood.  Either way, how relaxing would this picture be in a home?

I’ve seen the commercials for this on tv. I thought it looked cute. The guy that plays the father is the guy from the Farmer’s Insurance commercials.  I love that guy, I think he has good comedic delivery even in those commercials.  I can’t wait to see him in a tv show!

It’s on tonight (Sunday Feb 23), so check it out!

Finding Deals on Prom Dresses

*This post is brought to you buy JenJenhouse.com, compensation has been received**

I sometimes forget about it until I start seeing updates come through my Facebook feed with updates about prom dress shopping and excitement over finding the right dress.  I remember prom dress shopping.  My mom would tell me my limit and I’d try to find a dress in that budget while trying not to sacrifice style.  My parents didn’t have a lot of money and there was four of us.  I remember girls bragging about spending $250 on a dress, back then, that was a lot of money.  I remember my hubby’s family proclaiming they spent $400 on his sister’s prom dress.  Sure the dresses are beautiful but are you really ever going to wear it again to justify spending hundreds of dollars?

Here’s some ideas for finding deals on prom dresses:

–Don’t dismiss the idea of thrift stores.  Seriously, most people where their prom, bridesmaid, and formal dresses only once or twice.  After that maybe they pass them around in the family or they donate them to places like goodwill or Salvation Army. It could be worth a look.

–We have something in our area called the “Cinderella Project” girls from low income families or girls that would have no other way to get a prom dress can go to the Cinderella Project event and borrow a dress to wear to the prom.  The dresses are returned but I think it’s a wonderful idea.  If you have old formal dresses you can donate them to this project.  This seems to be a national charity that has events all over.  Just google Cinderella Project and your area.

–Dedicated formal wear websites.  If you visit a dedicated formal wear website like JenJenHouse , for example, you can find lots of ways to save.  Check out their sale section where they have new prom dresses for under $100.  I was never one for a lot of pouf and lace but everyone has their own taste and JenJenHouse.com has a BIG selection.  I love this one I found in the “under $100” section:

This one is only $86.99.  I love the knee length and gorgeous purple color too!  They also have a weekly deal section where you can save up to 55% on the dress and 70% on shipping.  They even have accessories in this category like shoes. For something a little more eye catching I found this number in the weekly deal section:

This one is originally $333 on sale this week for $140!  You can also sign up for their emails for weekly updates on deals and coupons.  I found this under the register link at the lower right hand corner of the page.  It says you’re also entered to win prizes when you subscribe so…

If you’re a parenting looking to buy your daughter a prom dress or if you’re an independent teen wanting to buy your own here’s my advice.  Browse the site or wherever you may be thinking about shopping.  Get a realistic idea of how much dresses cost.  Set yourself a manageable budget.  Mom or dad tell your daughter the limit is $150 or whatever your limit is before you even start shopping.  It will save her from getting her hopes on a dress you can’t afford.  You can also check out sales, coupons, etc to see if you can get a dress she wants in the price range you need.
