Delicious, Affordable, Hand Made Chocolate Bark from Arno’s Chocolates

Chocolate, I don’t know too many people that do not like chocolate. Especially when it’s award winning, handmade artisan chocolate bark from Arno’s Chocolates.

I’d never had the pleasure of trying Arno’s chocolate bark until this review. Arno’s chocolate bark is made right here in the USA. Every batch is handmade. They only use premium ingredients with natural ingredients whenever possible. One thing I learned in working with them is that they use Guitard chocolate which is one of the oldest family owned chocolate company in the country.

The process in which they make their chocolate bark is fantastic. They make it in small batches and break it and even package it by hand! With the care they put into the chocolate bark and how selective they are with their ingredients, one would expect it to be very expensive but it’s not. It’s only $2.95 for a 2 oz bar of chocolate bark. These are not skimpy little bars either.

Here’s a fun piece of info that Cyndi Arno shared with me. The CEO of Twitter wanted peppermint bark stocked in their lunch room in December. So they found Arno’s Chocolates. Since then they have stocked different flavors in their lunch room each month.

Arno’s Chocolates initially started with just a handful of different flavors. They now have 12 different flavors of chocolate bark. My family and I had the pleasure of sampling 7 of the flavors. It was a lot of fun for us. Everyone was excited to try each flavor. We had sort of, a sampling session. We chose one bar at a time and broke of pieces so we each got to try every flavor.

I wanted to show you, this is my piece I broke off to try for myself. It’s the peppermint bark. It is dark chocolate with a layer of white chocolate with crushed peppermint on the top. Normally I like chocolate and peppermint things alright but it’s not usually the first flavor I grab. My 9 yr old wanted to try this one first so we did. I have to say I LOVED this flavor. The flavors just meshed so well. It melted in your mouth. The flavor very much reminded me of an Andes candy only better because it had the crushed peppermint for texture.

–Salted Caramel Almond Crunch

–lhara’s Trail

They were all so tasty. Each made with dark chocolate. I also wanted to take a minute to point out the lhara’s Trail flavor. This one, in my opinion, was the most unique. It was also something that took you by surprise when you tried it. It had a number of spices in it, that I would not expect in a chocolate bar. My initial thought was it sort of tasted like chocolate covered pizza. I know it sounds weird but it had a blend of spices that gave it a sort of salty, spicy, Italian type flavor. It’s their newest flavor and includes: Dark Chocolate, a hint of orange oil, roasted almonds, walnuts, and pistachios as well as the spice blend I was telling you about. This flavor was created for Twitter. They had a contest amongst their employees to come up with a flavor and lhara’s Trail was the winning idea.

All 3 of my boys ages 10, 9, and 3 all loved the pop corn both the butter and the butter light. I enjoyed them too. I feel better about my kids eating this for a snack knowing the oils they use are more heart healthy.

Fysiko Lashes Progress 8 week update

It’s been 8 weeks, hard to believe but it has been since I first started using FYSIKO lashes. If you’re coming upon this post first you might want to check out my FYSIKO Lashes start of trial post first.

Just as a brief recap, FYSIKO Lashes is an all natural eyelash serum that helps grow lashes longer, thicker, and fuller. It’s meant to be applied daily and results can be seen as early as 4-6 weeks but for some it takes up to 16 weeks for full results.

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I’m terrible at doing something daily when it comes to beauty treatments or even taking my vitamin every day. For me to sit here and tell you that I’ve applied this faithfully everyday, well I’d be lying. I mentioned in my first post I had a newborn daughter. She’s 2 months old now and as I’m sure any mom would agree taking care of yourself often gets put on the side burner to the needs of your kids.

When I looked in the mirror daily I didn’t notice a different day to day per say. Then I snapped this picture today and compared it with my trial start pics. I’ve included them below:

Ok I realize the 8 week pic is a bit close than the trial start but still I can definitely see a difference with my lashes. In comparing the pics the do appear to be fuller and a bit longer, no? Again this is no make up or enhancements what so ever. Here is the comparison with my eye open

Again I realize this is a closer pic but I still think they are fuller and a bit longer than the initial pic. There seems to be more individual lashes on my bottom lash line too than in the initial post.

I wanted to say this too. I get allergies in the spring and fall. In the spring especially I get itchy eyes. Often when I’d rub them I’d usually get a lash or 2 that would fall out. In the entire 8 weeks I’ve been using I might have noticed losing 2 lashes total. So that to me says something too. Also again remember that I did not use it daily because well, I didn’t always remember.
