I wish I would have know about this site sooner. LittleThingsFavors.com has a beautiful selection of wedding favors that are surprisingly affordable for the quality. My sister just got married last year and I was trying to do some searches for her to find some wedding favors that were affordable and fit with the theme of her wedding. Of course her wedding was a Pittsburgh Steeler’s theme so anything branded is pretty expensive. She ended up finding a cool idea of getting gold towels with their names and wedding date stamped on them and people twirled them when they came into the reception.
I had the opportunity to receive just one example of their favor options. I received the Vintage Skeleton Key bottle opener favor to review. I don’t know why but I have a thing for skeleton keys. I think it’s the look of them along with the antique ideal of them.
This is an example picture from their site. It looks gorgeous but sometimes things look better in a picture or catalog then when you actually see them. That was NOT the case with this item. The Vintage Skeleton Key bottle opener came packaged in it’s own box with a bow and tag on it.
This is not a flimsy favor that will fall apart right away. This is made of a sturdy meta. It has an antique copper looking finish on it. I love the idea of this favor because it’s functional too. Your guests could use it at the wedding and at home too. The only thing I wish it has was a small note, maybe on the tag, to let your guests know it’s a bottle opener. It’s a beautiful item but the guests might not immediately know what it is.
This favor would be perfect for a rustic wedding favor or even to use as a rehearsal dinner favor. There are many beautiful, high quality favors on the site for bridal shower favors too. I love the murano glass favors. So elegant and so many different colors!

There are a lot of free apps out there, apps for just about anything: banking, coupons, rewards, games, even an app that turns your phone into a flashlight. Seriously, my hubby used that for a while. If you’re someone who just NEEDS to know if people think you’re hot…or not, you can check out the Hot or Not! app.
Hot or Not! is a free app available for iPad, iPhones, and PC via facebook. For this post I’m going to focus on the iPhone app because that’s what I tried out. The app downloaded quickly on my iPhone 4s. When I first opened up the app it displayed a picture to vote on. I couldn’t really find the directions at first but it seemed to be pretty self explanatory. There’s a heart if you like the pic, an “X” if you don’t. I tried to vote to test it out. I couldn’t vote until I added my own picture(s). This is my tip when using the app, there is a deselect button at the top. When you go to add your pictures, all your pictures are selected. I personally would not want pics of my kids or other family member in this app. I deselected all then selected one of just me. Here is a screen shot of this. I circled the deselect button in pink. I was trying to manually deselect pics until I saw that button.
Ok once you choose your photo you go into the app. You put in info like your first name, age, and if you’re male or female. That’s the only things I had to input. It automatically had me rating guys I’m assuming because I had put in that I was female. Most of the pictures were legitimate but there were a few funny ones thrown in there. I’m guessing they don’t want that in that but it made me think for a minute. I chose a screen shot of one of those pics mostly because I didn’t want to be posting someone else’s picture on my blog without their permission.

My initial apprehension was, I’m happily married and really the only one I care thinks I’m “hot” is my husband. I also had to wonder about the self esteem of some, that might get more “nots” than others. In the end though you can only hit the heart or the “x”. There doesn’t seem to be a way to see who hearted or “x”‘d your picture. There doesn’t seem to be a way for people to contact you either which was another concern I had. I didn’t want date invites or mean or vulgar comments sent my way but those worries were alleviated when I saw that the app is pretty simply, a voting system.

I thought it would be cute to get one for my youngest son to wear to preschool on St. Patrick’s Day. I wanted to get one that was kind of funny but was also appropriate for both him and the school. I ended up selecting this one for him.
The shirt was a little big for him. He normally wears a size 5 in shirts and pants. The sizing chart is not easy to find on the site. I chose a small but the small is still pretty big. But, as I always say in regard to kids clothes, I’d rather it be too big than too small. The shirts says “World’s Tallest Leprechaun” which I thought was kind of cute for him. It’s a nice quality t-shirt that’s easy to wash. They shipped the shirt quickly so you have plenty of time to look over their site and order in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

I use my smartphone for a lot of things. I’m still learning what all the power ups do but you can win coins, experience, and other things with the power ups. They are the only one with innovative Bingo. Bingo Bash even creates new games every season for their players like the Solitaire Bingo patented game they created called Solitairingo. they have other Bingo with themes like leprechaun finding treasure, sweethearts meeting, and more. They have the most advanced bingo that has 341 levels. If all that weren’t enough to keep you entertained, Bingo Bash also has sweepstakes where players can win Amazon gift cards.
The game is free to play. The only time you would pay is if you choose to buy more coins, power ups, etc similar to some of the other game apps you see. In other words you only pay for stuff if you want to. I’ve been playing this game for a couple days now. I’ve yet to win a game but I’m enjoying it. This will definitely keep me entertained when I need something to make my wait times faster. I think even my older boys would enjoy this app.

Valentine’s Day is next week!! Can you believe it? Guys and gals will be getting ready for Valentine’s Day with their sweethearts. What kids of things do you do to get ready for a special date night? Making sure you’re freshly shaved, making sure your skin is soft and smooth, and of course you want to smell good.

Yep that’s popcorn as packing. What a great idea! I received so many great products I’m gonna talk about a few of them. I LOVE sugar scrubs. My skin gets so dry especially in the winter time (like now!). I use a sugar scrub on my legs a couple times a week and the rest of my body at least once a week. Look at this yummy looking sugar scrub I received.
It looks like sprinkles on top when you first open the container. I had a hard time finding the scent of each of the products I received. It seems most of them were the Love Spell scent which makes sense for Valentine’s Day. The scent was wonderful. I could smell it as I started to take the lid off. The consistency of this product reminded me of cocoa butter but there were the granules in it to help slough off the dry skin. The jar says “made with natural butter and natural seeds.

As I used it on my body in the shower it did foam a bit like soap. I could feel almost instant relief from my dry skin on my legs when I applied it. The only suggestion I have for this product is that it says you’re supposed to keep water out of the container and apply with dry hands or a scoop. My container didn’t come with a scoop and it’s hard to use dry hands in the shower. I’d like to see it come with a little make up spatula or even a popsicle type stick maybe.
Another product I received was this cute little glycerin soap from their “shower candy & desserts” selection.
This little cupcake soap smelled like bubblegum. My youngest son claimed this one. He says “mommy I like cupcakes”. Of course, I had to tell him it was soap and not a real cupcake. I’m not really sure what the “icing” is made from but it has a sort of spongy texture just like the small glycerin soap I received.
I personally used this little soap. I thought the spongy frosting part of the soap would disappear right away but it didn’t. The “icing” part of the soap seems to have some kind of moisturizer built in because it’s lubricated when wet than the glycerin part. I also received one of the Floating soap bars from the Marshmallow collection. This bar is very light and airy. And yes it really does float in the tub. I love the texture on the top of the bar.
Are these pictures making you hungry? Marshmallows, cupcakes, sprinkles, oh such a tease and they all smell so good. The body butter I received came in a squeeze bottle with a flip top spout. I rather liked this method of dispensing the body butter. In the past, I’ve used body butters in a tub and scooped it out with my fingers. This was much less messy.
I also received a body spray in the Love Spell scent. A little spritzer bottle. When it initially came out of the bottle I honestly thought it smell more like a margarita or maybe fruit punch but after it settled on my skin for a little bit my it started to work with my body chemistry and matched with the scent of the rest of the products I received.
Last but not least, I received a sample for the Actz Cosmetics Tangerine Calendula Face Wash. I never tried a face wash quite like this. It had a thicker consistency. I honestly could not smell the tangerine part of it but could definitely smell the calendula. At first I didn’t think I’d like it on my face with the thicker consistency until I washed my face. It seemed to have some moisturizing properties because the skin on my face felt almost instantly quenched. I was surprised for a face wash.
There are products for kids and guys too on the site. I know that was a lot of products to talk about in one post but I felt they all bared a mention. In short, the products are wonderful. They have some really great products that will definitely get you looking your best for Valentine’s Day. There’s a lot of cute kids products too I’m already eyeballing things for basket fillers like the Sudzy Fairies Bath Water Colors or bathtub crayons. Personally the next product I want to try is the Shaving Taffy. Once last thing, you HAVE to check out the dessert soaps and tell me it doesn’t look like you’re looking at a dessert menu!
