I have a number of friends who are runners. They participate in all kinds of things from marathons to charity fun runs. I just found out about this super fun charity run this year. You’ll want to read about this one.

April 28th is National Superhero Day (who knew?). To kick it off, on April 26 The Super Run® Will have it’s inaugural Super Run® event in Detroit, Michigan. BUT, there are 20 other events scheduled nationally with more to come. This event is awesome, not just because every registered runner gets their own super hero cape to wear for the race, but, you can choose the non-profit you want to raise money for.

In my area of Pennsylvania, the season of lent is celebrated heavily. There’s fish fries at nearly every church and fire hall, local restaurants advertise their featured fish or seafood dishes. But you don’t have to go out to get yummy artisan fish fillets.

Hubby just loves lemon pepper fish so that one ended up being the one we chose to try. Personally I think the Southwest Tortilla would be delish but that will be for next time I guess.

I’ll be honest I was a little nervous about these. The last time hubby and I tried a lemon pepper fish fillet the lemon and pepper flavor was overwhelming. The kids wouldn’t even eat it. These however were just right. Just a subtle hint of flavor, crispy breading, flaky white fish, mmmmmm very good. Everyone ate this one. I prepared it with a side of brown rice and quinoa mix and mandarin oranges. Just about everyone cleaned their plates.

Sharpie Products on Shoplet.com

Sharpie products have been around a long time. So many ways to use Sharpie products. My husband just bought a pack of Sharpie highlighters today to use for organizing his paperwork. Many times I’ve used Sharpie permanent markers to label boxes, the kids have used them for school projects, and of course, art and craft projects. The Sharpie Metallic Permanent Markers are something I normally buy anyway. I pack clothes that the kids have outgrown in black garbage bags to store in the attic. The metallic markers show up great on dark surfaces.

They also show up well on other surfaces.

One Sharpie products I hadn’t tried previously were the Neon Permanent Markers. I love the bright colors. Something about neon reminds me of summer. I tried out the colors on a plain white piece of paper. I love the vibrancy of the colors.

These markers would be great for arts and crafts. It would also make an eye catching yard sale or car wash fundraiser sign. Each hand soap has a moisturizer and gentle micro-scrubber formula that smooths and moisturizes the skin. I have to wash my hands a lot for work so I appreciate a hand soap with a moisturizer in it.

I could definitely feel the micro-scrubbers in there when I was rubbing my hands together to wash them. A little gritty but not harsh.

Perfect Bib Review and Giveaway

As a mom of 4, I’ve used a few bibs. I’ve used cloth ones, plastic ones, velcro, snap, big and small. You name it. They all did ok, each one has their benefits. This is the first time though, that I had the opportunity to try Perfect Bib.

So why is it called, Perfect Bib? Well this bib has LOTS of different uses. It has many uses as a bib with different benefits BUT it can also be used for other things. My 11 month old daughter was the perfect tester for this bib. We tried it lots of different ways. This bib has two parts that you can separate if you wish. Keep them together and you have a really long bib that kind of doubles as a placemat making clean up for mom a little easier.

One of my fave ways to use the bib thought was to use the upper part and make a pocket. This was great for when she was finger feeding. Most anything that dropped down got caught in the pocket of the bib. She would even pick the pieces she dropped out of the bib and feed herself from the pocket. It was soooo cute!

There are snaps on the top part to snap the bottom part up to make this pocket. There are also velcro strips on the back of the top and bottom parts to stick the two parts together. Toddler might like to use the top and bottom part and make themselves a cape. I used just the top part with my daughter and made her a little cape, girl power! Another great aspect about the Perfect Bib, it’s washable.
