There are a lot of ways to look and feel beautiful. Living a healthy lifestyle, taking care of your body, giving your body the right nutrients, and then of course some enjoy using cosmetics and salon trips. I know I sure do.
At Neocell, they are the #1 choice for collagen. Collagen had been widely used in Europe and Asia for decades. Neocell introduced collagen to the Americas. You can read more about how and why Neocell was on the Neocell website. They even have a forum where you can ask questions and find answers.
I’ve had the pleasure of trying Neocell products in the past. This time around I decided to try some different products. I tried the Beauty Infusion Appletini and the new Glow Matrix.
The Beauty Infusion Appletini flavor is a powder you mix with water. The bottle recommends drinking on an empty stomach so I usually had this first think in the morning. It had a pleasant flavor and mixed well in my glass.
The Beauty Infusion contains Neocell collagen, hyaluronic acid,
The Glow Matrix says it helps hydrate skin from the inside out. This was very appealing to me since the winter really wreaks havoc on my skin. I moisturize daily, usually twice a day. I try to drink as much water as I can but still it doesn’t seem to cut it. Glow Matrix is in pill form.
Neocell’s Glow Matrix contains a number of vitamins, coconut water, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, pine bark extract, lutein, as well as a few other ingredients. I’m not going to pretend to know exactly what all those things do but I do know that I have a few topical beauty products that have hyaluronic acid in them. I’ve also read a number of articles about the benefits of coconut water.
After taking both products for about 2 weeks I realized I hadn’t broken a nail in a while. I realized my nails did seem a little stronger they’re usually fairly brittle. I’m some one who always has a small handful of hair come out while I’m in the shower. I noticed the last few times I took a shower I didn’t have anywhere near the collection I normally do. Whether that is coincidence or not, I don’t know.
Neocell offers many different products in several different forms. Click any link in this post to see more Neocell products. Want a chance to win some Neocell products of your choice?

Besties Box is a new and different twist on the subscription box. While it’s still your monthly subscription box the products inside is what make it different. You might be thinking “yea ok I’ve heard that before” but seriously. I’m about to explain.
You know all those direct sale companies or etsy shops you see in your facebook feed, twitter, etc: AVON, Jamberry, Plexxus, Pink Papaya, etc. Maybe you’ve been tempted to buy but you’re not really sure if you’d like their products or not. Well this is your chance to try them. Founder Andrea Nugent being both a customer and direct sales rep for a few companies herself, envisioned a way for customers like herself to try products before she buys and to help get the word out for her direct sales businesses.
I received a Premium Besties Box to review. The official launch isn’t until April so this is seriously one of the first looks inside a deluxe Besties Box. My little purple box came in the mail. It was seriously jam-packed with samples.
As you can see I had lots of sample. Full size products, deluxe samples, and samples meant for one or two tries. I received samples from:
Plexxus
Pink Papaya
Perfectly Posh
Jamberry
Purely
Tyra
Paparazzi
Head over to BestiesBox.com and subscribe to their newsletter so you know when they officially launch. They also have plans for themed boxes in the future.
Also if you are a direct sales person or an Etsy shop owner that would like to participate with your products, please you the Contact link on the Besties Box site.

Even if you’re not a fan of white footwear Lugz has a lot of footwear to offer: Mens, kids, and women’s. I’m kinda feelin’ the Drifter LX Raspberry and white for women. This time it was my oldest son that got to choose. He chose the Empire Hi WR boots. It’s totally him. My oldest son is outdoorsy. He hunts, fishes, etc. These boots are water resistant, slip proof, and includes the flexastride memory foam technology. They are also a higher top with good ankle support. Great for walking around in the woods.
My son said they were a little stiff when he put them on out of the box but after wearing them around for a while he broke them in. He wears them almost daily. This mom likes Lugz because they are made tough. Even my boys can’t wear these out quickly. My middle son has a pair he’s had since October. They still look like new but he’s worn them often over the winter. He has the Lugz Scavenger Ballistic
I received the above mentioned product for review purposes as part of the US Family Guide blogger program. Any opinions expressed are my own.
I ventured into the world of loose leaf teas a couple months ago. Prior to that I wasn’t much of a tea drinker. On a rare occasion if I had a sore throat and family or friends suggested honey with tea or when my midwife suggested ginger tea for my nausea.
My friends had raved about loose leaf teas. I didn’t know what the big deal was. I was hesitant to try them because…well…I wasn’t much of a tea drinker. Then I received a sample and it changed my whole mindset about teas. The tea bags I had bought at the the store didn’t even compare to most of the loose leaf teas I’ve tried in the last couple months. That includes the teas from SimpleLooseLeaf monthly loose leaf tea subscription box.
The box I received came with 5 different loose, 2 T-sacs, and a card that explains the flavors of the different teas. Oh and if you really like one, or two , or all of the teas you get in your box, you get a members discount of 50% off tea purchases in the shop. The code is specific to each tea box.
The teas I received this month are: Bird Nest Pu’er (which can actually be reused up to 3 times), Cranberry Cider Herbal, Lavender Sencha, Pumpkin Spice Rooibos, and Ceylon Supreme. I’m generally a fan of the herbal and green teas. I just had to try the Lavender Sencha first. I wish you could smell this tea. The fragrance itself is lovely. I have a loose leaf tea glass so I brewed my tea in that. It had a floral tea taste. The fragrance carried over once brewed. It’s a lighter tea. I personally thought this is a nice tea to have in the evening when you’re trying to wind down for the day.
They are advertising on the site that you can get your first monthly box for only $3.99 to try. I also saw that they still have the 25% off code available with code 25HOLIDAY. So use one of those to save you some money!
I really enjoyed this box. It was a way for me to venture into trying some other types of teas. Teas I might not normally buy in a store if I wasn’t sure if I’d like it.

Are you going to Bloggy Conference 2016 this year. I went last year to BloggyCon 15. It was my first in person blog conference. It was my first trip to Cedar Point. It was my first time in Sandusky, Ohio. It was also my first trip where it was just me and my youngest son. My son was 6 when we went. He was able to stay in the conferences with me and then we hit the pools and Cedar Point after. He was so good, I was so proud of him. He’s at the table in the pic below on the far left. You can barely see his head behind the bottle and pitcher on the table.
I consider myself an intermediate blogger. I’ve been blogging for years but I still feel like I have a lot to learn. There’s a lot of things I haven’t tried yet but I want to. And something I just can’t figure out how to do. Like increase my UMVs for instance. This is a nice, affordable conference with information relevant to beginner and intermediate bloggers. I say this because I had heard some seasoned bloggers say they already knew most or all the info and wanted different information. Some of the stuff I knew but I did pick up some good pointers, especially in regard to social media. One of my fave sessions was about videos which I really need help on. It was taught by Sara Mock from Savoring The Good. She also sat by me at one of the conference tables and was so kind to answer some of my questions about videos. Though it all centered around using imovie with mac products I didn’t think I could do it. Then I realized I had an iPhone and sure enough, there was an imovie app.
They provided breakfast and lunch for the conference attendees. It was nice. The staff at Cedar Point were very helpful. There were several tables of companies wishing to connect with bloggers. Including a company called Cow Candy that makes fruit flavored cheese to encourage kids to snack healthier. If you haven’t tried it, you should.
I loved meeting bloggers whom I only knew from their blogs. I liked meeting face to face with sponsors and exchanging cards. It was fun to swap knowledge and ideas about blogging with each other. So that brings me to the real reason for this post. If you’re thinking about going to BloggyCon 16 here are my tips and advice when going.
1. If you’re going along or with a young child that will stay with you I wouldn’t opt for the lake view room. I did but the only times my son and I were in our room was to change, shower, and sleep. Conference starts early and we took advantage of the park until at least 10 pm most nights. So as soon as we got back our head hit the pillow to be up again at 7. Now if you have your significant other or family going with you who will spend more time in the room then by all means get what you want. Or if you don’t plan on going to all the sessions you might enjoy it more. I just felt like I could have saved myself the money and got a non-lakeview room since I couldn’t enjoy the view much anyway.
2. Small children can attend the conference free however older children or significant others will need a ticket if they want to stay in the conference with you.
3. The conference take place during Halloweekend. Super cool and I loved it but some parts of the park are scarier than others. If you think your child (or even you) might not want to be scared by ghosts and goblins in the park you an buy a “no scare” necklace that lets the actors know you want to be left alone.
4. Take hoodies, sweatshirts, or jackets with you. It was fairly nice during the day but at night at the park it got pretty chilly.
5. Take your business cards. I must have exchanged at least a dozen cards with people. I kept them in a business card holder in my purse.
6. Bring something to take notes. Either an old fashion pen and paper or your laptop. I took lots of notes and wrote down a lot of sites that were recommended.
7. I took a waterproof wallet I wore around my neck which I was so glad I did. I was able to tuck it under my shirt during rides, my phone, money, room card, and whatever else was in there stayed dry and I didn’t have to lug a purse or backpack around with me and try to figure out what to do with it on a ride.
8. If you want to see Cedar Point this is a great way to do it at a discount and when it’s not so hot and crowded. My son was able to jump from one kiddie ride to the other. If he had to wait, it was only for one turn.
9. Book EARLY! First of all if you book your conference pass before April 15 you save $10 on the pass. Also if you’re planning on booking a room at Hotel Breakers do it as soon as possible. I bought my ticket in March last year and book my room in May I think. Around August people were finding there were no more rooms left and were trying to figure out where they would be able to stay. Cedar point has a lot of other accomodations but they have special pricing at Hotel Breakers for conference attendees. They only block so many rooms though. If you book somewhere else, you’ll pay full price.
10. Consider checking out an hour early on the last day. My son and I checked out an hour before we had to. Mostly because we had a long ride home but we had no wait at all to check out. You avoid the long lines of people trying to stay as long as possible.
If you have any questions about my experience at Bloggy Con, Cedar Point, or Hotel Breakers please let me know. I’ll try to answer from the conference attendee point of view.
