Batiste Dry Shampoo review

I’ve mentioned in a few other posts that I’ve become of fan of dry shampoos. If I wash my hair daily my scalp get dry and my hair just doesn’t seem to want to cooperate. If I don’t wash my hair daily It get limp and greasy looking and definitely aides break outs along my hair line. Since I discovered dry shampoo, my hair has been different.

There are a growing number of dry shampoos on the market now. Some are good and some, not so much. I was give the opportunity to do a comparison with Batiste Dry Shampoo and Tresemme Dry Shampoo.

I tried the Batiste first. I loved the great smell of the product. It made my hair smell fresh and clean. It’s easy to apply. It just sprays onto your hair like hair spray does. Comb it through and you’re good to go. I like to lift up a few sections of my hair and make sure I spray the roots to suck up any extra oil and give my hair a little more body, like the picture below is showing:

The Batiste Dry Shampoo worked fantastic on my hair. Definitely refreshed it. Then I tried the Tresemme. Honestly I expected it to be comparable. I figured they’d work about the same and the brands would be equal. I was wrong. I had to use a lot of the Tresemme to achieve the same look as I did with the Batiste Dry Shampoo. I didn’t care for the scent as much as the Batiste dry shampoo either. The Tresemme dry shampoo did not see to last as long as the Batiste either. I much preferred the Batiste brand over the Tresemme brand.

I tried the Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust. It was so simple to use. Great quick meal for families on the go.

I just opened the container and the dough rolled right out. I only had to do a little working the dough to get it to the edges of the pan, but really not much.

Have the kids help add their favorite toppings for some family time. My kids keep it simple, lots of cheese and some pepperoni. Within 15 minute you can have yourself some tasty homemade pizza. This was the best refrigerated pizza crust I’v ever tried. There are instructions on the tube for both soft crust and a crunchier crust. Don’t forget the box tops on the tube too!

Through another blogger I discovered a women’s clothing site that sells “high-street fashion” online. It comes in blue and black. I chose the black because I thought it to be more versatile. This jacket is a heavier material (cotton/polyester). It has a silky shiny finish that almost reminds me of satin. A feature that I love is that it’s machine washable. No extra money spent at the dry cleaner. The pocket on the outside are just decorative and are not functioning pockets which is the only drawback for me. It’s a really well made jacket and will be perfect for the chillier fall weather coming up. Ok I showed you the model, now here I am sporting my new coat from Oasap.com

The jacket has one button snap to help hold it shut and then the long belt tie for around the waist. It was a bit chilly here in PA today compared to what it has been. Only about 62 and raining most of the day but this jacket did a great job of keeping out the chill. I had a long baggy shirt on today. My shirt actually covers most of my bum. The bottom of the jacket goes down to about 2 inches below the top of my hip bones.

Jolly Time Back to School Popcorn Trio review

It’s that time, the kids are back to school. If your kids are anything like my boys they’re “starving” by the time they get home. One of the first questions out of their mouth when they come through the door is “What’s for dinner?” Dinner is still a good hour and half away when they get home from school so they get an after school snack. I want something they can snack on without ruining their dinner.

Soft Scrub Total All Purpose review and giveaway

I’ve been using Soft Scrub cleaners in my house for years. Mostly the Soft Scrub cream cleanser before. Thanks to Purex though, I was introduced to the new Soft Scrub Total All Purpose cleaners.

I received the Soft Scrub Total All Purpose Lemon Scent to help remove grease and grime from the kitchen and Soft Scrub Total Bath and Bowl. There are several near features about both that I really like. It’s a spray bottle but you can hold it upside down to spray and it works just the same as if you were holding it upright. This comes in handy for spraying the inside of your toilet bowl for instance.

Another neat feature of both of these products is that there is a flip open screen on each one. Close the screen to get a foam spray, open the screen to get a regular spray.

I decided to try the kitchen cleaner from Soft Scrub on my stove. It was definitely a bit grimey. I was kind of obsesses with the foaming action so I used that on the stove as well.

I think it worked pretty well. The bathroom cleaner I used in the tub, sink and toilet. I even used it on the stainless steel faucets and such and it did a great job.
