Purex detergent combines with Crystals, now that’s cool

Heal and Protect Dry Skin with Carmex: review and giveaway

Did you know that Carmex lip balm was invented in 1937? It’s true. Carmex lip balms are also the #1 Pharmacist recommended lip balms. I think for a company to be around that long and still be relevant, they must be doing something right.

Within the last few years, Carmex has also added skin care products to their selection of products. Makes sense doesn’t it? A company that makes lip balms to heal and protect lips also has products to heal and protect skin.

Even though it’s mid-March, here in South Central PA, winter just does not want to give up. Our local news station says we’re supposed to get a “squall” on Saturday that could bring 5 inches of snow possibly. Yuck. Of all the reasons I’m tired of winter, one of them is because of what it does to my skin. My skin gets so dry and itchy and starts to feel tight even. Carmex Healing Lotion and Carmex Healing Cream help me with that problem.

Both products are non-greasy and have a light scent that puts me in mind of baby powder a little bit. The Healing Lotion contains aloe and vitamin E. The Healing Cream has 9 healing ingredients for very dry and rough skin. I’ve also been using it on my baby bump to help combat itchiness from the belly growing.

Carmex also sent me a soft and warm Carmex zip up hoodie. I thought this might be a good opportunity to give a bump picture too.

Here’s “the bump” at 37 weeks and 2 days. Hopefully not too much longer. I can’t wait to meet my baby girl. Loving this hoodie right now too. I’m constantly cold and at this point I just want to wear whatever is comfortable and this hoodie truly is.

Turn your memories into beautiful and even useful keepsakes with Mailpix

If you search the internet for custom photo products, you’ll come across a number of websites. I know when I personally look for a photo product I’m looking for gift ideas to give or I something to help me preserve a memory in a unique or useful way. Another thing, I don’t want to spend a lot of money and I want to receive it in a reasonable amount of time.

I had the opportunity last year for a once in a lifetime event with my son. We were invited to lunch with the Steelers. I got some awesome pictures and I’ve been wanting to be able to display them in some way. My youngest son and I had the opportunity to meet Larry Foote of the Steelers at the luncheon. We got this fun pic.

I didn’t want to just order a print and stick it in a frame. I was hoping for something more eye catching to make this picture a conversation starter. Mailpix.com has high definition aluminum photo panels. I thought this would be perfect. I was hoping the colors and details would really show. I think it did. The Aluminum Photo Panel would be great for any important picture. When they send it they send it with double sided foam stickies to place it just about anywhere and they also send magnets to you can put it on a fridge, filing cabinet, or any other metal surface you could think of. It’s also stand out off the wall which help to draw attention to it.

I love the way the picture turned out and how it shows up on my living room wall. They offer the HD aluminum panels in a number of different sizes so you can get what fits the space you want. I think it would also be really cool to get some in a bunch of different sizes for a family collage on a wall.

I also needed a case for my Kindle Fire. I love to have it with me at the kids’ practices and things and I’m always worried it’s going to get scratched in my purse. Mailpix.com had an answer for that. They have Custom Photo Kindle Fire Cases. I had this great picture from the same Steeler’s luncheon that was taken with Heinz Field in the background. I love, love, love this picture.

The case works great for my Kindle Fire. It has the elastic corner straps to keep my Kindle secure in the case.

I was impressed with the quality of the products. I’ve not seen HD aluminum panels on other sites and was excited to be able to find a photo Kindle Fire case. Both are reasonable in price too with the Kindle Fire Case being $25 and 8 x 8 aluminum panel I received being $28.

Once I put my order in I received my products within a week and a half which I thought was quite reasonable for the quality of the products. Mailpix.com has so many cool photo products to choose from to preserve your memories or give as a thoughful gift.

It’s definitely good with a glass of milk or a cup or tea or coffee but I’ve been snacking on these at different times of the day on their own too. I received a variety of flavors. They were all so tasty. I’m partial to chocolate so the Choconut and Chocolate Cherry were definitely a treat but I also tried the Original, Cinnaroma, Gingerspice, and Sesame as well. Each one with their own unique taste but all yummy.

There are so many ways to enjoy them. You can spread cream cheese on them, with yogurt, crumbled over ice cream, just about anything you can think of.

Get your Irish on..for St. Patty’s day that is

St. Patty’s day will be here soon. Time to break out your green, your shamrock accessories and maybe even head out for some St. Patrick’s day events. It’s a day when it seems everyone likes to pretend they’re a little Irish.
