Knot Genie gets rid of knots in your hair with the pain: review/giveaway

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Mom Blog Society. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Knot Genie is a new product that helps get rid of knots in your child’s hair (or your hair) without the pain and tantrums of conventional ways.  It’s unique design lets hair slip right through and helps to prevent split ends and hair breakage.

Yes, I got it for me.  My long hair often gets knotted.  I use a regular brush and detangler but it still hurt and I would end up pulling out hair in the process.  When I first pulled the Knot Genie out of the box I thought it almost looked like a bug of some sort.  The bristles on the brush looked almost spikey.  I wondered what it would feel like on my head and in my hair when I actually used it.

To my surprise, the bristles were actually comfortable on my head and it really did slide through my hair easily.  I tried it on my hair wet and dry. It worked well both ways.  I was especially impressed with how it worked on my wet hair though.  That’s when I usually have the most trouble.  It didn’t take any effort at all for this to go straight through my hair.

The Knot Genie comes in several colors. There’s even a camo colored one that your guys with the longer hair might like.

At a cost of $19.99 it’s just a little more than a regular brush but for someone with a young girl or someone like me with long hair this would be well worth it to save your/your daughter’s hair and stop the tantrums.  You can purchase the Knot Genie on their website or from one of the salon/boutique retailers listed on their facebook page

You can interact with Knot Genie on facebook too: http://www.facebook.com/KnotGenie also if you’re still unsure about whether this will work or not, there are a lot of customer comments on their facebook wall. It’s worth checking out.

“You’ve wished for hair brushing standoffs to end. Wish granted.”

UNEEDIT.com they have it! Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set giveaway

UNEEDIT.com offers a variety of supplies to keep your business or home running smoothly. Whether you’re looking for  fire extinguishers, first aid kits, cordless drills, microwaves, garbage bags, keyboards, well…I could just keep going on and on but I think you’re getting the idea.

I started looking over the site and asked myself, what would make my life a little easier.  I found lots of stuff on there that I would have liked to have.  Especially in the Technology section.  Then I remembered what I needed. Why my kids have to call me over to the computer all the time to help them.  Why my dad needed me to help him navigate to a website when he came for visit.  It wasn’t because they didn’t know how it was because….here, here’s a pic.  Can you tell why they needed help?  Keep in mind that they haven’t learned to type yet.

Can you see why?  Most of the letters are missing off my keyboard.  I can type just fine without them but my boys are just starting to learn how to type in school and my dad never learned how.   Then there’s my mouse.

It’s old, probably 8 years old but it works just fine.  Still, I always did like my hubby’s wireless mouse.  No worrying about the cord pulling the mouse back or knocking things over when I pull my mouse over.

UNEEDIT.com has keyboard and mouse sets.  Including wireless keyboard and mouse sets.  I particularly liked the MK520 Logitech wireless set.  The batteries in the keyboard last up to 3 years and the battery in the mouse lasts up to a year.  They take AA batteries which are included. This set also comes with a unifying Logitech receiver that you can use with your laptop and other unifying devices.

I never had a wireless mouse or keyboard before.  I was worried that it was going to take me a while to get it set up.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a simple as plugging in the unifying USB and flip the on switch on both the mouse and keyboard.  That’s it, seriously that easy.  In fact I’m using my new keyboard and mouse right now.

Here’s a picture of my new additions:

UNEEDIT.com can help you with your needs too.  Besides the website, you can also find UNEEDIT.com on  facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UNEEDIT

Kinoko Gold AHCC for Immune Health review and giveaway!

AHCC which stands for Active Hexose Correlated Compound, is a mushroom based nutrient that comes from Japan. It comes from Shitake mushrooms.  It has been shown to boost immune systems and also has anti-inflammatory properties along with other benefits.

A recent clinical study at Michigan State University shows that AHCC enhances the the seasonal flu shot to make it even more effect.  20 human clinical studies have also helped support the findings.  The flu season goes through March but many of you know it’s important to keep a strong healthy immune system all year long.  It is the world’s most researched specialty immune supplement for over 80 years.

There are others things we can do to help keep our immune systems healthy like getting daily exercise, eating healthy, and getting 8 hours of sleep each night.  Adding Kinko Gold AHCC from Quality of Life labs to your daily routine would also be beneficial.

Kinoko Gold AHCC
I for one, strongly dislike mushrooms.  My hubby likes them, my parents liked them. I make myself try them every so many years or if I see them cooked a different way.  I just don’t like the taste no matter how I eat them.  I had heard that mushrooms, especially Shitake mushrooms were supposed to be good for you and have a number of health benefits.  So when I had the opportunity to try this, I jumped on it.
The capsules are vegetarian and gluten-free.  When I took the capsules (recommended at least 2 capsules a day on the bottle) I had a faint after taste of mushroom at the back of my mouth.  It wasn’t too bad and was gone quickly.  Especially when I finished drinking my water.  For those that like mushrooms, this would probably be quite pleasant for you.
My review of this product came at a perfect time.  My youngest has been congested and had a runny nose for about 2 days prior to me receiving the sample bottle. I started taking it immediately.  I’ve been taking the supplement for 5 days now and still  no sign of a cold for me (knock on wood).  It seems as though it is doing something for my immune system.
You can find out more about the AHCC research on their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/AHCCResearch
On twitter by following @AHCCresearch
and on their Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/ahccresearch

and last but not least, on the AHCC research orgnanizations page: http://www.ahccresearch.com/

Would you like to try it for yourself?
