It’s a subject that many don’t like to talk about. It happens more often then you might think.  You don’t have to be a certain gender or even age for it to happen. I’m talking about bladder leakage.  It happens to both men and women for a variety of reasons.  Of course for us women it could be anything from having kids to aging.  In all honesty I had always heard about it happening after kids.  I was pregnant with my first son at 22 years old. I remember getting to 7 months and dreading sneezing or coughing hard because…well things happened with that baby pressing on my bladder.  It was the same for each of my pregnancies.

For me dealing with it in those few months of pregnancy was enough but realizing people have to deal with it every day, it’s nice to know there are options out there.  There are plenty of disposable options but what about options that are more like your everyday wear.  Options that are better for the environment?

Wearever leak control undergarments are that option. It’s underwear that looks like regular underwear but is actually a washable and comfortable leak control undergarment with options for both men and women.

I’d never tried Wearever undergarment before today.  As someone who doesn’t normally wear leak control garments I thought for sure these would feel bulky and obvious to m.  When I was asked to review them, I started looking through all the women’s styles.  I was actually surprised at the colors and styles available but still skeptical of being comfortable wearing them.  Even the men’s styles had several pair that looked just like regular briefs.  I ended up choosing the women’s smooth and silky style in the color beige.  When I received them they looked just like regular underwear.

The wearever leak control undergarment felt very similar in texture, style, and fabric as some of my regular undergarments.  There is a cloth pad sewn into the crotch area that absorbs. It’s not anywhere near as bulky as I had initially anticipated.  The thickness of the absorbent area is not much thicker than a thin maxi-pad. They have a waterproof liner that prevents leakage onto clothes.  The particular style I chose, the site says that the seamless panties hold 2 of liquid but some hold 8 oz while supers hold up to 10 oz.  Which if you think about it 8 oz is a whole measuring cup full of water.

These panties have a seamless design to avoid visible panty lines. Similar to many of their leakage control garments they have Agion™ antimicrobial fiber that reduces bacteria that causes odor. The lining is designed to trap liquid all day. They say they are washable and reusable up to 250 washes!  So while these panties sell at $16 a piece if you look at 250 wears worth of disposable product this is an obvious savings.  You an also buy them in packs of 3 or 6 for more savings.

I wore them for an entire day doing all my normal daily tasks, work, and chores.  They fit well.  They did not fill bulky at all.  The lining did remind me of wearing a thin maxi-pad but it didn’t make me uncomfortable or insecure at all.  The only think I will say about these is that I would normally wear a medium when it comes to this type of sizing.  I ordered the S/M in this style.  To me they seemed a bit tight. I might have been better off going up one size just as a tip.  I would wear these again and I would definitely go this direction if I get to the point that I would need daily security in this department.  In all honesty, I would have loved to have these while I was pregnant.
