Even if you’re not a fan of white footwear Lugz has a lot of footwear to offer: Mens, kids, and women’s. I’m kinda feelin’ the Drifter LX Raspberry and white for women.  This time it was my oldest son that got to choose.  He chose the Empire Hi WR boots.  It’s totally him.  My oldest son is outdoorsy. He hunts, fishes, etc.  These boots are water resistant, slip proof, and includes the flexastride memory foam technology. They are also a higher top with good ankle support. Great for walking around in the woods.

My son said they were a little stiff when he put them on out of the box but after wearing them around for a while he broke them in. He wears them almost daily.  This mom likes Lugz because they are made tough.  Even my boys can’t wear these out quickly.  My middle son has a pair he’s had since October.  They still look like new but he’s worn them often over the winter. I ventured into the world of loose leaf teas a couple months ago.  Prior to that I wasn’t much of a tea drinker. On a rare occasion if I had a sore throat and family or friends suggested honey with tea or when my midwife suggested ginger tea for my nausea.

My friends had raved about loose leaf teas.  I didn’t know what the big deal was.  I was hesitant to try them because…well…I wasn’t much of a tea drinker.  Then I received a sample and it changed my whole mindset about teas.  The tea bags  I had bought at the the store didn’t even compare to most of the loose leaf teas I’ve tried in the last couple months.  That includes the teas from SimpleLooseLeaf monthly loose leaf tea subscription box.

The box I received came with 5 different loose, 2 T-sacs, and a card that explains the flavors of the different teas. Oh and if you really like one, or two , or all of the teas you get in your box, you get a members discount of 50% off tea purchases in the shop. The code is specific to each tea box.

The teas I received this month are: Bird Nest Pu’er (which can actually be reused up to 3 times), Cranberry Cider Herbal, Lavender Sencha, Pumpkin Spice Rooibos, and Ceylon Supreme.  I’m generally a fan of the herbal and green teas.  I just had to try the Lavender Sencha first. I wish you could smell this tea. The fragrance itself is lovely.  I have a loose leaf tea glass so I brewed my tea in that.  It had a floral tea taste.  The fragrance carried over once brewed. It’s a lighter tea. I personally thought this is a nice tea to have in the evening when you’re trying to wind down for the day.

I really enjoyed this box. It was a way for me to venture into trying some other types of teas. Teas I might not normally buy in a store if I wasn’t sure if I’d like it.
