Yes, I got it for me. My long hair often gets knotted. I use a regular brush and detangler but it still hurt and I would end up pulling out hair in the process. When I first pulled the Knot Genie out of the box I thought it almost looked like a bug of some sort. The bristles on the brush looked almost spikey. I wondered what it would feel like on my head and in my hair when I actually used it.
To my surprise, the bristles were actually comfortable on my head and it really did slide through my hair easily. I tried it on my hair wet and dry. It worked well both ways. I was especially impressed with how it worked on my wet hair though. That’s when I usually have the most trouble. It didn’t take any effort at all for this to go straight through my hair.

At a cost of $19.99 it’s just a little more than a regular brush but for someone with a young girl or someone like me with long hair this would be well worth it to save your/your daughter’s hair and stop the tantrums.
