Every year we go back to school shopping around the beginning of August, so yea it’s rapidly approaching. This year my youngest son will be starting preschool so that’s 3 kids starting school this year, which means three kids to buy school clothes and supplies for this year. These labels are all safe for the dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer. They are waterproof and UV resistant. These are tough labels. I’ve been using them for a couple years now. I let my 4 yr old son choose the design he wanted to use to label his stuff to start pre-school this year. He chose one of the new designs called “Ahoy Ye Matey” which of course is a pirate theme. The clothing dots stick well on clothing tags or right on the fabric itself. I have used these in things like my boys jackets, gym clothes, and hoodies. They fit securely on the fabric and don’t pop up and catch on things.

the shoe labels fit perfectly at the heel of the shoe so they are easy to spot when kids change shoes for gym class, if they take them off at daycare, etc. My son has never complained about them being in his shoes.

The slimline labels can fit on just about anything and are a bit more discreet than the bigger labels. New Improved Purex Fabric Softener Sheets

It’s no secret that I enjoy using Purex products and not just because I’m a Purex Insider. The main reason I signed up to become an insider is because I think Purex products work well without breaking the bank. I’m already a fan of the Purex Crystals fabric softener so I was excited to try their new and improved formula in the Purex Fabric Softener Sheets.

Purex Fabric Softener Sheets are available in mountain breeze scent and sweet lavender scent. Both of these sound wonderful to smell when pulling my clean clothes out of the dryer or pulling my sheets up at night when I climb in bed. The new and improved formula has 3x the fragrance. Baby Magic No-Rinse Wash Convenient Overnights

I just had my 4th child about 4 months ago. Even with having my 4th I’m always amazed at the new baby products coming out that makes moms’ lives just a little simpler. Once such product I came across this time is Baby Magic No-Rinse Wash.

It seems every hospital and pediatrician has their own recommendations for newborn hygiene. I know when my 2 oldest boys were born they told me not to give them a bath in an infant tub until their umbilical stump came out. They also said to only give them a full bath once a week after and just “top and tail” them each night meaning wash their heads and bum each night. For me, if I was going to put some water in a basin and use baby soap I may as well just give them a bath but I did what was recommended anyway.

Baby Magic No-Rinse Wash is an easy way to get baby clean and smelling…well like a baby. This foaming wash doesn’t require water. You can either apply it directly to baby’s skin and massage baby with your hands or apply it to a wash cloth.

I thought this was incredibly easy to use. It has the same sweet scent as the Baby Magic pink bottle lotion, which I love.

Two pumps on a wash cloth and I had enough to clean her whole body. I actually dampened the wash cloth a bit just because I thought it might go on easier with the wash cloth but honestly the foam is light and airy and would have been easy to apply anyway. The pump is easy to work and I was able to pump it one handed while hold the wash cloth with my other hand.

It didn’t seem to bother her in the least. Baby Magic No-Rinse Wash does NOT contain paraben, DMDM, it’s hypoallergenic, cruelty free, and made right here in the USA. Baby Magic is a trusted brand that has been around since the 1950’s. They do not use quaternium-15 in any of their products and do not use 1,4-dioxane in the manufacturing process. It is also tear free and dye free.

I think Baby Magic No-Rinse Wash would be very convenient to take on a family vacation, overnight trip with baby, or an overnight stay with the grandparents. As I mentioned earlier in this post it would also be convenient to use for newborns especially when trying to work around the umbilical cord stump. Ozeri 4×3 Sport Digital Pocket Digital Pedometer

I walk a fair amount with my job. Walking with patients, walking from one end of the hospital to the other to get to my office and the floor I work on and back. I also don’t get to sit too much at home most of the time. I’ve often wondered how many steps I actually take in a day. Also being that I work in a hospital they offer a lot of health incentive programs like the 10,000 steps challenge where employees can earn points for participating and trade in points for prizes. You have to have a pedometer for that or buy one from the hospital.

, is pretty much the best pedometer I’ve ever used. To be fair, I’ve never used a pedometer this high tech before. The ones I’ve used in the past were pretty basic. You had to have them right at your hip or it wouldn’t count accurately. I could usually hear the gentle ticking sound counting my steps.

As you can see, the screen is digital and easy to read. This reading is in Step mode but it also records miles, calories burned, minutes of workout, and total steps. The bottom numbers is a clock, so when I took this picture it was 2:32 PM (and 12 seconds). It’s a light, slim design and easily fits into a pocket. It also has a clip to clip it on to your waistband, pocket, belt, etc. It has 30 day Memory so you can look back to see your achievements over the month.

The ease of use was great but what I found most impressive was the Tri-Axis Technology. I really didn’t know what that meant then I read the directions that said it works in any position. I wore it to work the first day. Initially I had it clipped to my pocket. It didn’t have that ticking sound like my old pedometers did. At first I thought it was working. Then I held it, sort of like Idid in the picture as I was walking down the hall to check it out. The steps were still counting even holding it out in front of me. When I stopped walking, it stopped counting. I thought this was super cool because my old ones, if I’d taking off to look at it, it stopped counting even if I was walking.

It comes with the clip that is removable if you’d rather just shove it in your pocket, a lanyard with a clip at the end you can attach, and a little screw driver so you can open it to replace the battery or whatever you might need to do.

Overall I was quite impressed with the pedometer. I couldn’t find a way to throw it off. It worked no matter how I was holding it and stopped counting whenever I stopped moving. Right now the Ozeri 4×3 Digital Pocket 3D Pedometer with Tri-Axis Technology and 30 Day Memory like mine is on sale on Amazon.

Back To School: Thera°Pearl Contour Pack Review

It’s getting closer to the end of July and my boys have just started football practice. Two hour practices in the summer heat. I don’t envy them. I make sure they’re taking water with them and remind them to hydrate every chance they get. Because they just started practicing they’re complaining about sore muscles. I remember when I had started volleyball camp in the summer back in highschool how I’d feel the soreness in some of my muscles after the first few days.

Thera°Pearl offers has versatile hot/cold packs that can help you with all the aches and pains of getting back into the groove with school sports. They have all shapes and sizes that can be used either hot or cold and fit just the right way for sore joints, shoulders, backs, necks, and more.

Initially I chose to review the Thera°Pearl Contour Pack because my husband started working out again and has been getting some pain in his elbow. The countour pack fits securely with an elastic strap the velcros. It ended up being great for a lot of things including my boys’ back to football practice aches.

Each pack has a plastic pillow filled with the “therapearls” that sort of remind me of those little orby things the kids play with. Whatever it is though, it works. For cold therapy just stick it in your freezer for 2 hours and apply. For heat, simply microwave it for 25-35 seconds depending on the wattage of your microwave. I myself tried it both ways. Honestly, with how hot it’s been I was freezing it and using it to cool down. I did try it hot though too and found that the heat stayed for about 20 minutes before it started to cool down.

My boys gave it a try too.
