Be Super Mom or Build Your Business With Avery Products on Shoplet.com

**I received the below mentioned products at no cost as part of the Shoplet.com blogger program.  No other compensation has been received**

My boys start back to school the end of this month.  This summer went so fast.  As I’m getting them ready I’m thinking of what supplies they’ll need as well as what I’ll need to keep them (and me) organized.  Shoplet.com has all the back to school, business, and office supplies you’ll need.

I received a few Avery products to review from Shoplet.com

My oldest son will be starting middle school this year.  They already suggested to him to get a 3-ring binder with dividers and filler paper to take notes.  They actually suggested that when I was in school too.  I think it’s a great idea.  You have 1 binder with filler paper use dividers to section off for each class you need to take notes in.  Maybe you have one section for Geometry, one section for English, another for your science class, etc.  Then you can add more paper as needed and removed old notes you don’t need anymore.  You’ll need something durable though but something that can still fit in a locker.

Avery Flexi-View Round-Ring Presentation View Binder (AVE17686) is a good option.  It works with your standard filler paper.  It’s flexible so it will hold up to being shoved in a locker or crammed in a backpack.  Another feature I like, there is a pocker in the front so they can make it their own.  They can create a picture collage of friends, let loose with their artistic talent, or just title their binder their own way. There’s also a pocket in the back for storing homework or whatever.

To go along with the idea of the binder notebook you gotta use the Avery Ready Index Contemporary Table of Contents Divider (AVE11133) These bright colored and numbered tabs will make it easy to sort through subjects, find your recipes, or sort your coupons.  The front page has a space to mark what is found at each tab so it’s easy to go directly to what you need. At a price of only $2.72 for these 8 dividers, it won’t break the bank either.

Avery Blank Printer-Compatible Tags with Strings (AVE22802) will make it easy for super moms to kick it up a notch when sending in school treats or party contributions.  Avery makes it easy with free templates available on their site for all their customizable printer products.  I tried out the templates myself.  They have a number of designs to choose from or you can create your own.

Here’s my design while creating it on Avery.com and here’s how it turned out.

Cool, no?  Just think of the possibilities.  They have designs for holidays, birthdays, and every day.  You could make to/from tags, create goody bags, and lots more with these.  They also come with the strings.

Avery Round Easy Peel Labels (AVE22807) are round stickers you can customize.  Maybe to label each of your book covers, create name labels for your stuff.  Me, I created stickers with my blog button and website on them of course.

Last but not least we have the Avery Tri-Fold Brochure with Tear-Away Cards (AVE16152) This one is going to take a little more time for me to think about.  I’ve honestly thought about making brochures for my blog but didn’t really know what info to put into it and who to cater them to.  Would they be better for potential blog readers or for companies to tell them what I can do?  Maybe both, like I said, I have to think about it.  Avery again has templates for this product.  It has tear away cards so you can include coupons, a business card, a QR code, or whatever you might think of to put on the tear away cards.  At least when I do think of exactly what I want to put in my brochures, I’ll be able to do it quickly and easily with this product and the free template.

I LOVE that Avery offers free templates for all their products and make them easy to find on their site.  You can find all these products at Shoplet.com too!

1 Week of the ProSlim 28 Day Challenge

**I received a free pair of ProSkins Leggings in order to complete the 28 day blogger challenge.  No other compensation has been received**

It’s hard to believe it’s been one week since started the challenge.  Exactly a week.  The day I started wearing proskins I also started a 10,000 steps challenge at work.  I haven’t made it 10,000 steps yet but I have 4 weeks to do it.

I’ve been wearing my ProSkin leggings under my scrub pants at work.  I also wore them under a pair of my jean skorts over the weekend.  Ok I’m no fashionista but this was the lazy weekend look I put together.

Hey it was comfortable and I actually liked the ProSkin leggings under my skort just because I didn’t feel so exposed.  So I guess I should talk about progress.  Well we’re both gonna find out here right now because I’m taking the measurements as I write this.

My belly (my problem area I wanted to work on) 34 1/8 inches whoa I actually lost almost 2 inches around my waist.

Hips (around the widest are of my bum) 39.5 inches so I only lost 1/4 of an inch around my hips
Top of Thigh (Right, same one measured in first measurements) 24 inches, hmm I actually gained an inch there
Middle of Thigh: 22 inches ugh I gained a half inch there
Above knee: 16.5 inches sigh, another 1 inch gain (seriously maybe the inches from my belly settled further south I don’t know)
Below knee: 12.75 inches a gain of a quarter of an inch (kind of depressing, was excited at first)
Widest part of Calf: 13.75 (well that one stayed the same)

Ok sheesh after taking the measurement I’m a little afraid to get on the scale now.

Well ok, I don’t understand it but I lost 5 lbs since my initial weight.  I did my weight in the evening just like I did the last time too.  Very confusing to me.  Gained pretty much everywhere but my waist and hips but lost 5 lbs.  Our bodies are so crazy sometimes.  The only thing I’ve really done, (other than wear the ProSkin leggings every day for at least 8 hours) is the 10,000 steps challenge and maybe a a few sets of crunches here and there but nothing to write home about.

Need A Quiet Fan That Still Does The Job, Ozeri Has a Great One

**I received the below mentioned at no cost in order to complete an honest review.  This post also contains amazon affiliate links**

I’ve had the pleasure of trying a couple Ozeri products.  When the fan in my son’s room broke I knew I needed to get him a new one.  I wanted something that preferably didn’t have the rotating blades since he’s only 4 yrs old.  I wanted something that wasn’t too noisy because, well, it’s his bedroom but I also wanted it to do the job.

Ozeri Ultra 42 inch Wind Fan – Adjustable Oscillating Tower Fan with Noise Reduction Technology was a good option.  When it was shipped to me there was a few pieces to put together but it was just the base that was in pieces because you have the option to use the extender or just the base.  It also came with the batteries for the remote and the hardware you needed to put it together. It only took me about 10 minutes to put it together and figure out the settings thanks to the easy to ready instruction booklet.

The set up was pretty easy.  You can choose to use the extender to make it higher or just the base if you want a sturdier base of support.  I first put it together with the extender just to see how it looked and worked.

It’s a nice looking tower fan with a digital display.  There are a lot of options with this fan.  You it can be static or oscillating.  There are 3 different modes to choose from as far as the breeze goes including sleep, nature, and normal.  There is also a night mode which dims all the LCD icons on the screen.  It has a remote control so you can use it beside your bed or from the couch.  When you don’t need the remote there is a spot for it in the case on top of the fan where there are also button for all the settings on the fan as well.

There is also a timer option so if you only want it to run for a certain amount of time then shut off, you can do that.

This fan is surprisingly quiet even on the highest setting.  Making this perfect to put in my son’s room.  Though I will be taking the extender off to put it in his room because it seems a little more sturdy without the extender on it. We tried it in the living room for a couple days.  Our living room is a decent size and you could feel the breeze of the fan throughout the room.

Here’s a fun fact about these fans, they were actually designed for 5 star resorts!

The Ozeri Ultra 42 inch wind fan is on sale on Amazon for $99.95 (normally $149.95)

MIRA Digital Bathroom Scale on sale on Amazon

**I received the below mentioned product in exchange for an honest review.  No other compensation has been received.  This post does contain an Amazon affiliate link**

Some of you may have seen my post about starting a 28 day blogger challenge to try to lose inches.  Since having my 4th child I put on a few more pounds.  One of the requirements for the challenge is to keep track of my weight among other stats. Conveniently I had the opportunity to review the MIRA Digital Bathroom Scale with Handle , Large Display, 400 lb capacity

This scale is sleek looking and light weight.  It has a convenient steel plated handle.  I like to keep mine under my microwave stand in the kitchen so I can just grab hold of the handle to pull it out from underneath when I need it.
The scale came with the 4 AAA batteries it needs to run.  There was no set up required with this scale other than installing the batteries which was easy peasy.  It tells you your weight automatically when you step on the scale which is nice because the old one I had you had to step on the corner to kind of wake it up wait until it read “0.00” then step on it.  Not this one, just step on it and it tells you your weight.
The digital display, larger numbers, and contrast make it easy to read as well..  The scale can be set to kilos too if you are used to kilos.

The surface is smooth and easy to clean.  I really like this scale and it’s on sale on Amazon now for $24.99.

My Memories Suite Software Is For More Than Just Scrapbooking

**I received the full version of My Memories Suite software in exchange for a review.  This post also contains affiliate links**

I’ll be honest, I’ve see posts about the MyMemories Suite digital scrapbooking software and never really paid attention much just because I’m not really a scrapbooker.  I have scrapbooks for the kids but the more kids that came along the less time I had to work on them.  Plus the fact that I liked to kind of plan out and lay out designs and work on them.  I had a desk I worked on but the kids, especially when they were little were always curious and would take things off of it or try to grab things they shouldn’t so I sort of gave up.

What I found out though is that My Memories Suite can also help you create fun things like signs, cards, photo books, and whatever else your creative mind can think of.

To test out this idea I gave it a go with a back to school themed project.  I made little notecards that I can stick in my boys’ back packs or lunches.

This was my first test project.  I just kind of threw it together with a back to school theme just to play around with it.  But for someone like me who has never used a scrapbooking software before, I found it really easy to navigate.  I used a notepad background on the paper, I was able to insert a picture, and used school themed embellishments.  This size would also be good to use as gift bag/gift package tags (think Christmas and birthdays).  I also made a full size card just to see what I could do with that.

With this one I played around a little more with the embellishments, word art, and sizing. Any item you choose to use in your project can be resized so it’s just right for your project.  You could also use this software to make up your own invitations if you’d like.  It would be easy, just make up one then print as many as you want/need.

It comes with a nice selection of embellishments, word art, backgrounds, layouts, and more but you can buy even more to add to your selection from the site if you wish for very reasonable prices.  There were even a couple free packets I downloaded to my software.

If you are into scrapbooking, My Memories Suite is one of the best and easiest scrapbooking software to use. With school starting back soon you can preserve the memories and milestones of your child’s school year with this fun software.

If you’d like to try the My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software for yourself I have a coupon code that will save you $10 off the software it self and give you $10 for the MyMemories.com store.  Use code: STMMMS42859 You might want to copy and paste it to make sure the code is right when it’s entered.
