Blankz Toys – the cuddly animal your kids can decorate again and again

Blankz are a creative and sustainable plush toy that come to you completely blank with a pack of 5 Blankz markers and 1 BlankZdrop Card for displaying your creation. People of all ages can decorate their Blankz toy however they like. You can keep your work of art just the way it is or wash it with your laundry and start all over again. We received the Bloink (pig), Ele-Faint (elephant), and Un-Sealed (seal) to try out. I gave one to each of my boys and let them go to town.

I threw the Blankz in with my youngest son’s laundry. I was curious to see how easily the marker washed out. Would they be left with discolored animals? Well, I took them straight out of the dryer and brought them upstairs to snap a pictures.

Looks like they’re ready to go again. I couldn’t resist the empty canvas so I decided to try my own hand at decorating one of the blankz . Here’s what I came up with;

Ok, I’m no artist but it was fun none the less. At a cost of only $12.99 for each Blankz toy it’s a fun and creative toy your kids will play with again and again. A great way to get your kids (or your) creative juices flowing.

My only disclaimer on this would be that, just like any marker project, the markers can transfer while they’re still drying on the Blankz. Until I was done with my Blankz toy, my finger tips were multi-colored.

Some of it did transfer on to my son’s clothes too. But no worries, the markers are washable after all. My toddler had accidently colored on the kitchen linoleum but it came out very quickly with a once over with the mop.

Fuller Brush Co. Foaming DisposalClean review and giveaway

Another great product from Fuller Brush Co. Foaming DisposalClean. I mentioned in my other review and giveaway for the Premium Floor Care from Fuller Brush Co. that the Fuller Brush Co. has been around for over 100 years! I’m thinking for a company to be in business for that long, they must be doing something right.

I have a garbage disposal and I’ve a number of different disposal cleaning products. If it’s possible to “enjoy” using a garbage disposal cleaning product, I’d say, “yes, I did enjoy using this product”.

First off this product comes in a nice sized 14.5 oz can with a straw to attach to the nozzle of the can. The straw was very sturdy and I was able to apply it easily. You spray the cleaning foam down into your garbage disposal until it start to flow to the top of the garbage disposal rim. It tells you to use a Fuller Brush disposal cleaning brush around the rim but i simply used a cleaning brush that i have.

The foam was thick. You’re supposed to leave the foam in the disposal for 3-5 minutes to give it time to break up all the yucky stuff in there. Then you rinse it down with warm water. This product had a pleasant citrus scent that lasted several hours after I cleaned my garbage disposal.

Alpha Hydrox Skin Care Enhanced Lotion and Foaming Face Wash review

Neoteric Cosmetics Inc. offers several skincare and beauty brands. One of which is Alpha Hydrox. Alpha Hydrox offers a range of skin care products from face wash, body wash, acne spot treatment, and more.

Alpha Hydrox is an anti-aging line using Alpha Hydroxy exfoliation. Exfoliation helps to remove the top layer of dead skin cells letting the healthy layer of cells through. Giving your skin a healthier, younger look. More abrasive exfoliants like scrubs and loofahs can break down the skin. A healthier option for the skin is Alpha Hydrox acids like those used in Alpha Hydrox products. Using a skin care product like Alpha Hydrox can also help remove the skin cells from pores to help reduce breakouts.

I remember hearing about Alpha Hydrox years ago. I had never tried a product with Alpha Hydroxy acids (AHA) in it before. I had an opportunity to try Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash and Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion.

The Foaming Face Wash is a light cleanser. It didn’t really have a scent to it that I could tell. The face wash come in a generous 6 fl oz bottle. It’s a liquid soap type of consistency. There’s no color too it. It’s sort of a translucent white. This face wash is meant to be used both morning and night. The directions say to squeeze a little into your hand, lather in your hand until it starts to foam, then massage onto face. It rinsed off easily. The box says it is meant for all skin types but it’s particularly beneficial for those with oily or problem-prone skin.

I really like this cleanser. I have area of concern for my skin. Even though I’m a 30 something, I still get frequent break outs in my T-zone. I also have some signs of aging starting on my skin that I like to try to work on and lesson the effects. I felt this was a good cleanser for my skin.

The 2nd product was the Enhanced Lotion with 10% Glycolic AHA Anti-Wrinkle.

This product states that it can significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells. It also says it can renew moisture, refine texture, improve elasticity and skin tone. It contains moisturizes and Vitamin E. This product again is fragrance free and white in color. It has the consistency of a thin body lotion. This product can also be used both morning and evening. This bottle I received is 6 fl oz. I only needed a drop about the size of a nickel to cover my face.

My skin get particularly dry in the winter time. To the point of itching and discomfort at times if I forget to use a proper moisturizer. I did not feel this product’s moisturizing properties were enough for my dry skin. I also feel it fair to note that I had a pimple that was open on my skin. When I applied the lotion it did burn a bit when I initially massaged over that are with the lotion. My skin felt very tight after putting the lotion on. I felt it was more to not having enough moisturizer and my face being dry that a firming tightness. I ended up applying a separate moisturizer over top for comfort.

Alpha Hydrox products are very reasonably price and generous sizes.

Purex UltraPacks liquid laundry detergent review and giveaway

I’m a Purex Insider. I had the opportunity to try the new Triple Action Purex Ultra packs liquid laundry detergent. The Purex UltraPacks have the same cleaning power as traditional liquid detergent. The difference is that they come in pre-measured “Ultra Packs”. No measuring, no pouring and spilling, just throw one Ultrapack into your wash and add your clothes, that’s it.

Purex Ultra packs work in all machines including HE washers. It comes in Mountain Breeze scent or Free & Clear for those that don’t want or can’t use fragrance or colors. You only need one Ultra pack to do a whole load of laundry. If you have heavily soiled clothes though, you can use two. Spongeable Pedi-Scrubber review and giveaway

I had the pleasure doing a review of the Spongeables Body Wash in a sponge this past spring. I enjoyed using the product and even took the travel size one on vacation with me over the summer. When they were looking for someone to review the Spongeables Pedi-Scrubber, I was happy to give it a try.

The Spongeables Pedi-Scrubbers are similar to the body sponge in that it’s two sided. One side is a sponges that contains the soap and botanicals that clean your feet. The other side is a buffer to scrub away those rough patches on the heels, or anywhere else on your feet that may need sloughed. The buffer side also can be used to shine your toenails.

This Spongeables product is a smaller version. It’s about the size of my palm and shaped in a cute, flower like shape. The Pedi-scrubber comes in two scents: Lavender & Tea Tree Oil or Citron-Eucalyptus. I chose the Citron-Eucalyptus since I had tried the lavender scent in the body sponge before.

The Pedi-Scrubber is good for at least 20 washes.

When I first opened the package the Eucalyptus scent was apparent right away. It was a pleasant scent. On the first use the sponge feels a little bit hard until you start using it a little bit. In the shower the Citron-Eucalyptus scent didn’t seem as strong as it had straight out of the package. The soap in the sponge seemed to soften my feet. The buffer side worked well of my dry heels. I love the small shape. Another positive is that I could stand the sponge up on it’s “petals” to allow air to get to it after the shower so it didn’t stay damp like some sponges.

Just glancing at the store, I wish I would have realized they had cute Christmas shapes available. That would have made an really cute stocking stuffer.
