Did you know Mixbook.com offers custom Thank You cards?

 

Mixbook.com offers a lot of products that can be customized the way you want them.  With your personal photos, logos, and words.

Mixbook offers a variety of photo cards from holiday cards to thank you cards.  I love to keep a set of blank Thank You cards around.  I use them when I personally send out a prize to one of my prize winners from Luv Saving Money.  They’re also great to have around to send a personal thank you for something you’ve received.  I’ve written out thank you cards to friends and coworkers just to brighten their day.  Like “Thanks for being such a great friend” or “Thank you for helping me with my presentation.”

I had the opportunity to review the Thank You cards from Mixbook.com.  I customized mine with my blog logo, a personal message, and links to some of my social media sites.  It was so easy to use the tool on the site to create my own card.  You have lots of different options.  Do you want it to be landscape or portrait? What do you want your card to say?  What image do you want to add?  There’s also lots of background colors/textures, stickers to add and lots more.  I kept playing around with it.  I ended up choosing a flat card and customized it completely.  Here is what my finished cards looked like:

AM Skin Repair from Firmagen Review and Giveaway

Phix recently launched a skincare line called Firmagen.  The Firmagen Skin Repair System is an anti-oxidant skin care system that was Physician developed.  This line contains a powerful anti-oxidant blend called Alphadermalene-PBF that can destroy damaging free radicals.

The AM Skin Repair comes in a convenient pump bottle with cap, 1 oz size.  You don’t need a lot to cover your face.  It didn’t have much of a scent to it.  Maybe slightly vitamin-like if I had to pick something.  The formula absorbs quickly into the skin without much effort.  It’s a white lotion-like consistency.  
I used it for about 2 weeks so far daily.  I have terribly dry skin in the winter to I had to follow up with a lotion after applying the AM Skin Repair as it didn’t seem to have a moisturizing effect for me.  My skin is also sensitive.  This product did not irritate my skin.  
Along with all my other skin issues I have T-zone acne (even though I’m in my 30s, will it ever end?)  It seemed to help prevent anymore acne from showing up.  My acne get twice as bad during “that time of the month” and my acne was minimal this time while using this product.  This product is not supposed to clog your poors either.

Couponing: The Extreme Video Course Review Must for those who want to learn

Have you ever watched one of those couponing shows and thought, “Wow, I wish I could do that?”  I know I have.  Who wouldn’t want to get $300 worth of groceries and pay $10 at the check out or walk into Rite Aid and get $20 worth of stuff for free?

I was really confused.  I use coupons but I didn’t use them to their full potential.  My other concern was that if I did give it a go, I wanted to be able to do it right.  No coupon fraud for me thank you.  I knew a lot of ways I could get coupons.  I even made my own coupon binder prior to watching this series.  I was still frustrated though because I wasn’t saving the “Big” money.  Maybe $20-$30 a shopping trip which I was happy but I wanted to know “the secrets”.

When I had the opportunity to review Couponing: The Extreme Video Course I jumped on the chance.  I had heard about some couponer holding actual classes in different areas but none were near me.  This was a great way for me to learn and I was eager.

I had the opportunity to print out a workbook that I could use to highlight info I wanted along the way and go back to as a reference.  The videos are word for word what’s in the workbook but it was definitely less time consuming to listen to the videos and highlight as I went along.  
The first few videos were things I was already aware of but, would be great for someone who is completely new to the idea of “extreme” couponing.  She also has several lessons that are store specific like for Target and Rite aid for example.  
I got the most personal benefit out of the “7 Rules for couponing” , “Double Coupons”, and “Rite Aid couponing” lessons.  She also has a nice couponing ethics lesson.

Diamond Candles (the ones with the ring inside) review and giveaway 30 winners!

I first heard about Diamond Candles about 6 or 7 months ago. They are soy candles offered in a variety of scents.  What makes these candles different?  Each candles contains a ring inside it’s wax.  The ring can have a value of $10, $100, $1,000, or even $5,000!

I really wanted to try one of these candles but I hemmed and hawed about it because the price is $24.95 per candle.  So when my birthday came I had got some money.  I decided this was the time to treat myself.  I had a really hard time deciding which one to get.  I ended up choosing the Cupcake scent.  The candle comes in a heavy glass jar with a lid.  Each candle has a burn time of 125-160 hrs each.  The cupcake scent was lovely.  It made almost my whole downstairs smell like cupcakes.  I burned it for a couple hours a day about 2-3 days until I was able to get to the ring without messing up my candle.  The ring is visible on the side of the candle wrapped in gold foil.  It’s also in a small plastic zipper pouch so the ring doesn’t get messed up.

This ended up being one of the $10 rings.  The “China” stamped on the inside of the ring was the tip off.  It’s still a pretty ring though.  It ended up being way to big for me. It’s a size 12.   The cool part is, Diamond Candle fans created a rings swap page.  You can trade rings for rings in your size or buy rings in your size that you like.  
When I heard that Diamond Candles were looking for a few bloggers to review their candles.  I applied.  I hoped I would get it.  I love Diamond Candles and wanted a chance to share it with my readers.  For the review I got a Diamond Candle in the scent “Sweet Pea”.  It smelled so lovely.  Everyone in the house loved it.  Even my boys, which was surprising.  They usually only go for the sweet treat scents.

I pulled the foil pack out using a toothpick.  I had a napkin ready to catch the waxy foil packet.

After I unwrapped the foil I saw my ring through the small clear zipper baggie.   
There’s my ring.  It had a big stone on it.  All clear stones.  I believe that this one is a $10 ring also. This one also has “china” stamped on the inside of the ring.  The stones and metal do not feel like precious metals or stones.  But, it’s still a pretty ring.  This one was not quite as big as the first one I got but it’s still about 1 size to big.  I’m guessing it to be about an 8.  
I think these candles are so much fun.  I think they are well worth the $24.95.  Between the ring and the great scented candle it would be a great gift too!
