JUDY MOODY and the Not Bummer Summer family screening giveaway ends 6/1 Pittsburgh–CLOSED

***Last UPDATE*** After several redraws (winner declines) the final winner and taker is Trisha.  Congrats Trish, have fun!***

You kids may have read some of JUDY MOODY best-selling book series by Megan McDonald. Now you can catch her on the big screen in the new movie:

Synopsis:

When her best-laid plans for a summer full of fun go comically awry, an imaginative young girl creates her own vacation adventures in Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer. Based on the beloved, bestselling book series by Megan McDonald, Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer is an irresistible and delightfully funny treat for adventure-loving kids and adults.
This summer, Judy Moody is planning the most super-duper, double-rare summer vacation ever with best friends Rocky and Amy. Except that it turns out Rocky is going to circus camp to learn to tame lions, and Amy is headed off to Borneo with her mom to save a lost tribe while Judy stays home with her pesky little brother Stink and second-best friend Frank Pearl.
Just when she thinks things are as rotten as they can be, her parents announce that they will be going to California and Judy will have to stay behind with her Aunt Opal, who she’s never even met! It looks like Judy’s best summer ever has just become her way worst summer ever.
But feisty, fearless and ever-funny Judy Moody never gives up! With help from some unexpected sources, she’s headed for a summer full of surprises in this charming and spirited family film. Get ready, get set, get MOODY!

LEGO® KIDSFEST is coming to Pittsburgh in June more sites scheduled too

My boys get LEGO® Club Magazine. They received a postcard in the mail about LEGO® KIDSFEST coming to Pittburgh in June. I ready myself for the “Mommy can we go PLLLEEAASSEE!” Predictably I hear those very words. My boys are big LEGO fans. In fact at Christmas my 7 year old’s list was basically a LEGO wishlist.

My thought was, “What is there to do at LEGO® KIDSFEST?” As I found out, the answer is, plenty.

–Explore the LEGO Model Gallery where there will be 40 life size models made up completely of LEGO bricks.

–LEGO master builders (yea the guys who get paid to play with LEGOs) will be sharing tips, tricks, and giving live demonstrations

–Help build a piece of a giant mystery mural to help reveal the image

–build your own LEGO car and race it down a ramp.  Race against friends and family

–Play LEGO board games in the LEGO games arena

–Build whatever you like in the LEGO Construction Zone

–Don’t worry the littlest LEGO fans aren’t left out (thank goodness for my soon to be 2 yr old) there’s a “LEGO DUPLO Jams” area for toddlers to explore and build all while listening to fun playroom tunes.

LEGO® KIDSFEST will cover over 175,000 sq feet of fun.  LEGO® KIDSFEST usually sells out so it’s best to get your tickets soon.  Adult tickets are $20 and kids are $18.  Kids under 2 years old are free.
