Cookiecutters4less.com Review and Giveaway 12/15 US–CLOSED

THANKS EVERYONE FOR ENTERING.  RANDOM.ORG DREW NUMBER 61, MANTHAS24.  WINNER HAS BEEN EMAILED AND HAS 48 HOURS TO REPLY.

This time of the year I think a lot of people like to make Christmas cookies. Something about having a plate of homemade cookies on the table as a special treat just adds to the ambience. What about setting a plate of cookies out for Santa? Or giving a gift of a tray or box of handmade cookies to a neighbor or the mailman.

When I first got married I though I got a good deal on a bunch of cookie cutters. They were plastic. Not all of them are what I would call “open” cookie cutters. Some of them were solid or some areas where the details were were solid. Or some had extremely narrow areas and when you removed the cookie cutter from the dough your reindeer had now only had 2 legs instead of 4. It was frustrating to me when the dough got stuck in the cookie cutters. Some I just threw away because they didn’t work worth a spit. My “bargain” cookie cutters were anything but. I remembered the nice cookie cutters my mother used to have. You know the nice open ones made of either copper or a silver colored metal.

I had looked for them but found them to be very expensive. Cookiecutters4less.com offers cookie cutters in many themes and seasons. You can buy them individually or look at their great prices on sets. One of my favorite areas is the 10 for $10 cookie cutter category.  Cookiecutters4less.com offers both metal and polyresin cookie cutters.

I was sent a mix of metal and polyresin cookie cutters to try for the review.  They put my review items through like a regular order.  I received my cookie cutters in 2 days! That was superfast shipping.

I had some Crayola cookie dough left from a baking activity with the kids.  I decided to give the cookie cutters a try with the left over dough.  All of my cookies maintain their shape.  My reindeer had it’s legs, my bears had all of it’s extremities, etc.  Here’s how they turned out.

These cookie cutters are very durable and well made. Easy to clean and you can’t bat the prices on the Cookiecutters4less.com site! Now these cookie cutters are a REAL bargain.

Cookiecutter4less.com Also sells: Wilton Products, cookie decorating supplies, gift baskets, and cookie kits.

Other than their website, you can find Cookiecutters4less on Facebook too: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/CookieCutters4Lesscom/140740109297861

Check out out their site for cookie recipes as well.

Tracey Szurley, an Independent Distributor for Send Out Cards had got in contact with me about Send Out Cards great service they provide. I had never heard of Send Out Cards until she contacted me. I went to the website directly to see what Send Out Cards was all about. My first thought was that it was another e-greeting site.  Had I run off that idea, I would have been very wrong.

Send Out Cards offers a convenient and affordable way to sent out real greeting cards.  They even offer gifts if you’d like to send a gift too.   Send Out Cards offers cards for any occasion including Holiday cards.  Just think how easy it would be to type what you want in the card, choose your font, even add pictures of your family to the card.  No trips to the post office, No worrying about running out of stamps, no running to the store to get a card.  Send Out Cards sends the card for you.  Add gifts to you cards if you like with items like brownies, bath sets and more there is lots to choose from at a reasonable price.

Tracey is donating 50 cents from each card sold from now until Dec. 25 to charity.  Also, if you are looking start your own home business with Send Out Cards, Tracey can help you with that too.

I had the opportunity to send out a card to try the service.  It was so easy to choose a card, type in whatever I wanted to say, and send it.  I sent it to my husband as a nice little surprise love not.  The card is a quality greeting cards.  The printing turned out nice.  My husband got the mail before I got home from work.  He gave me a big hug and kiss and thanked me for the card.  I think sometimes we under estimate the impact of just sending out a card to someone for no reason at all even.  I will definitely be using Send Out Cards again in the future. This is going to be such a time saver for my holiday greeting cards this year.

You can set up an account by choosing al a carte options or by buying a package to load your account.  You can check out Tracey’s “Card R’Easy” page too for even more info.

The Cutest Cooking Utensils: Head Chefs review and Giveaway! –CLOSED

RANDOM.ORG DREW NUMBER 44 TORI. WINNER HAS BEEN EMAILED AND HAS 48 HRS TO REPLY TO WINNING EMAIL.
THANKS FOR READING AND ENTERING EVERYONE!

My 6 and 8 year old boys love to help me. Whether it’s helping with mopping, helping with their baby brother, or helping with cooking, they want to have a part in it.

I have the opportunity to try Head Chefs kids’ cooking utensils.  They have to be THE cutest cooking utensils i have ever seen in my life.  I have a picture below:

What kind of looks like a claymation scene on my counter top is actually fully functional kids cooking utensils from Head Chefs.  The little arms and legs on the utensils are posable.  The feet are suction cups so you can actually stand them up and they’ll stay.  They are made of a high quality silicone.  They are soft and easy to grip for your little chef.

My 6 year old could not wait to try them out.  So we found a recipe that interested him and got started.

The cute little fushia colored Head Chef tool is a measuring spoon.  It measure 1 Tablespoon on one side and 1 teaspoon on the other side of…what I’d guess you’d call it’s head..lol. Oh and by the way my son told me the measuring spoon was fuscia so that’s what I’m going with.

The purple spoon was great for him to hold on to.  He was so proud to be cooking.  Yes folks he is in his pajamas.  I told him if he got his shower and got his pajamas on he could help me cook 🙂

He used the Yellow spatula to scrape the mix into the bowl to set.

When our Chocolate Coconut Creme Bar was finally set.  He used his little red knife to help cut the pieces.

And finally he helped serve up the finished product in the cute little bowl with legs from Head Chefs.

I think I enjoyed watching him have fun with these tools the most.  Head Chefs cool tools would be great for your little budding chef.  They are quality tools that are easy to handle and keep kids interested in the task at hand.  The silicone is soft and easy to grip but the utensils are durable.

I’d like to see quicker response times on the customer service end but the products are fantastic.

Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate Review and #Giveaway 12/10—CLOSED

RANDOM.ORG DREW NUMBER 97.  CONGRATULATIONS LYNDSEY.  WINNER HAS BEEN CONTACTED VIA EMAIL AND HAS 48 HOURS TO REPLY.

With each product I get to try from Tropical Traditions, the more I become a fan. This review was kind of interesting for me. I started off thinking “what the heck, this product was not what I thought it would be” to “wow this product is what I thought it would be” Let me tell you why, I neglected to seek out the full directions. I know, I know, when all else fails, read the directions right? LOL just kidding. I give hubby a hard time about this all the time. I guess he gets to rub it in for a minute.

Here’s how it went.  I received my generous sized jar of the Coconut Cream concentrate from Tropical Traditions.  I had been wanting to try it.  It seemed like a very versatile products  You can mix it into drinks like coffee or even water to make a coconut flavored drink. You can mix it into your baking and cooking to add a little coconut flavor too.  I thought it would be great to try for some of my holiday baking.

When I got the jar, I noticed that it had separated.  There was a layer of coconut oil on the top and the coconut cream concentrate was on the bottom.  I tried to scoop it out but only kept getting the coconut oil.  The jar said it would separate in temps lower than 75 degrees.  That’s my house like 24/7 365.   At first I was really disappointed.  I thought  “How can I use this stuff?”  So after trying different things on my own, I finally decided to check the Tropical Traditions website.  Well there it was, the video on how to mix the Coconut Cream concentrate.  I felt so silly, I should have gone to the site in the first place.

So I tried it.  What do you know it worked!

I looked over the recipes on the Tropical Traditions site.  It’s so easy.  You can look at them all or just for the products you’re using.  My kids helped me pick one out.  We decided to try the “Chocolate Coconut Creme Bar” recipe.  It was easy, quick to make, and tasted pretty good.

The Coconut Cream Concentrate melted easily in the pan.

The Chocolate Coconut Creme Bar turned out smooth.  You could definitely taste the coconut flavor in the bar.  I also tried some in my coffee  I was expecting a sweeter coconut flavor but it reminded me more of a toasted coconut type of flavor.  Something like a macaroon.  My family tried the Chocolate Coconut Creme Bar and I took some to work.  I heard several comments that it tasted like a mounds bar without the flakes of the coconut.

Once I figured out how to use the product I loved it.  If there was one suggestion I might have, it would be to have some quick directions on the side for how to mix it.

Plus  from now until Nov. 28 you can get $10 off any order of $16 or more.  Use code: 24110
If you order I’d so appreciate it you’d use my referral ID: 6162177
