Dry Idea Advanced Dry Fresh review and giveaway

After having the opportunity to try Dry Idea brand antiperspirants and deodorants through the Purex Insiders program, I’ve become a frequent user of their products.  They’re effective and affordable.  The one thing I wanted was to see more scents available.  What can I say, I like to smell pretty.

The  newest product in the Dry Idea line is the Dry Idea Advanced Dry Fresh with new Pulse Activated Wetness Protection.  I LOVE the scent of this product. It kind of reminds me of a fresh out of the shower smell. 
Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what it smells like if it doesn’t work right?  So I put it to the test.  I work as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at a local trauma hospital.  I’m also 33 weeks pregnant currently.  My job requires me to be up close with direct contact with patients, family members, and other hospital staff.   I’m lifting patients, doing exercises along with my patients and lots more.  I need to have a deodorant/antiperspirant that works.  I’m happy to report that this product past my test and I’m happy to add it to my grooming routine.

Purex Crystals for Babies review and giveaway

Purex seems to be constantly updating their products and adding new products.  I love it.  As a mom of 3 boys and another baby on the way I love that Purex products work but don’t break the bank.  One of Purex’s newest additions to their product line is Purex Crystals for Baby.  This is a great compliment to the Purex Baby detergent they also introduced.

If you are familiar with Purex Crystals, then you know you simply add them directly into your washing machine with your clothes.  It gives your clothes an added freshness that lasts. Purex Crystals for Baby does them same thing except it’s hypoallergenic, dye free, and safe for all clothes including children’s sleepwear.  It has an 87% natural formula so it’s great for sensitive skin.  
You can see there is no color to the crystals. It does have  fresh fragrance that I can’t put my finger on.  It’s a a pleasant scent.  I love the way the clothes smelled when I took them out of the dryer.  
Each bottle contains enough crystals to do 32 loads of laundry.  Purex Crystals for Baby will be available at Walmart starting early February. The Purex Baby detergent is already available.  I’m so excited for this.  Since we’re expecting our newest baby April 2, I’m so glad to have Purex, a company I trust, to help me prepare for our baby.

Daddy Scrubs book great for Expectant Dads

The clock is starting to wind down on my pregnancy.  At the time of me writing this, I’m 31 weeks.  Only 9 more to go.  My husband works 2nd shift so it’s hard for him to be there for all the appointments and the kids practices and things. He works really hard to provide for our family and I appreciate him.  
It’s important for our boys to have time with him as much as possible.  Especially our youngest son.  I think story time is good for them both on a few different levels.  Not only do they get one on one time together but it’s a way to encourage our son to read.

Edgy Romance and a bit more in C.M. Stunich’s "Tasting Never"

I’m not a fan of your typical cheesy romance.  You know the kind, the ones where you can predict almost every aspect of the story.  Where everything happens like a fairy tale.  C.M. Stunich offers a refreshing twist on a modern day adult romance.

The main character, Never, is a troubled girl.  The book keeps you guessing as to why this woman has so many issues.  Her story unravels a little at a time thanks to a character named Ty McCabe.  Ty has some inner demons of his own.  Each character in the book has their own unique spice they add to the story.  Even Never’s roommate seems to help change the story at times.  Sometimes for the better sometimes for worse.

As I was reading this book I felt a number of emotions.  For me, as much as I wanted have a happy ending there was an equal amount of times I just wanted slap her and say “Quit wallowing in you own pity and move on with life”. For a short while in the story you really didn’t know if Ty was a a good guy or bad guy.  There was also at least one point of confusion and yet relief when I finally found out Never’s sorted history but at the same time I still didn’t quite understand why she hated her dad so much.  OR…did she really? Still not sure about that one but you can be the judge for yourself.

All in all, I enjoyed this read.  It was a nice “path less traveled” in the adult romance genre. This is definitely an adult book though due to language and situations. If you’re looking for a kind of rough around the edge, romance, this is the one for you.
