Tempted by the Viscount Book Tour & Giveaway 4/20 – 5/20

Tempted by the Viscount

by Sofie Darling
Genre: Historical Romance
Pub Date: June 27th, 2018
London, April 1825

Lord Jakob Radclyffe left his past behind in the Far East. Or so he thinks

until a ruthless thief surfaces in London, threatening to ruin his
daughter’s reputation. With the clock ticking, Jake needs the
scandalous Lady Olivia Montfort’s connections in the art world to
protect his daughter’s future.

Olivia, too, has a past she’d like to escape. By purchasing her very own

Mayfair townhouse, she’ll be able to start a new life independent
from all men. There’s one problem: she needs a powerful man’s
name to do so. The Viscount St. Alban is the perfect name.

A bargain is struck.

What Olivia doesn’t anticipate is the temptation of the viscount. The

undeniable spark of awareness that races between them undermines her
vow to leave love behind. Soon, she has no choice but to rid her
system of Jake by surrendering to her craving for a single scorching
encounter.

But is once enough? Sometimes once only stokes the flame of desire higher

and hotter. And sometimes once is all the heart needs to risk all and

follow a mad passion wherever it may lead.

Sofie spent much of her twenties raising two boys and reading every book

she could get her hands on. Once she realized that she was no longer
satisfied with simply reading the books she loved, that she must
write them, too, she decided to finish her degree and embark on a
writing career. Mr. Darling and the boys gave her their wholehearted
blessing.

When she’s not writing heroes who make her swoon, she runs a marathon
in
a different state every year, visits crumbling medieval castles
whenever she gets a chance, and enjoys a slightly codependent
relationship with her beagle, Bosco.

His feet began a slow prowl forward, steadily erasing the distance between them, inch by deliberate inch.
She should feel panicked, or, at least, unsettled, by his purposeful approach. But those feelings refused to
take hold. The anxiety and anticipation of seconds ago flared into a single overwhelming sensation:
desire, white hot, ravenous.
He drew within a foot of her and stopped. The only sound in the room the jagged in and out of her breath.
So this was what it was to be a wanton? Aching from the nearness of his withheld touch, excruciatingly
delicious and exquisitely tortured all at once.
“Why are you here?” she muttered.
“How should I answer that question?” he returned, his voice a low, masculine register that quaked her to
her core. His head lowered, lips hovering just above hers for one, two, three rapid heartbeats, his breath a
whisper across her lips. “Like this?”

Glimpses of Wilderness Book Tour & Giveaway 4/20 – 5/20

Glimpses of Wilderness
The Glimpses Series Book 1
by Lee Ann Ward
Genre: YA Romance

No nightmares about my dad’s car crashing or my sister’s tiny face

vanishing in a window of red. No, not anymore. Now when I sleep I
fall into an expanse of frozen wilderness, the other life I’ve lived…

The one I’ve lived with him.
Anna experiences vivid dreams from a past-life she lived in the 1800s
with
her husband Robert and their children in the wilderness of the
Michigan Territory. Much like her own mother grieving the man and
child she lost, Anna can’t simply let go of the memories that haunt her.
But when she runs into Robert in this lifetime, a whirlwind of their past
lives—and deaths—rocks her modern world to the core. What will
she be willing to risk to spend every lifetime with Robert?
In the twists and turns of “repeating” their lives over and over
through time, Anna must sacrifice everything for a glimpse of
immortal love.

Lee Ann Ward is an award-winning fiction author with a background in
journalism and mass communications. She is also the former Senior
Editor of Champagne Books. Her love of books started at the age of
three, and she’s been addicted ever since. She’s published six novels
with her seventh and eighth on the way (SEE a YA paranormal by
Evernight Teen in June 2017 and GLIMPSES OF WILDERNESS a YA romance
by Inkspell Publishing in December 2017) and has written several
more. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, singing, baking designer
cakes, bowling and dreaming. She’s married to Joe (who also happens
to be her publicist) and they have 4 sons whom they adore, and a
granddaughter who is the love of their life. They make their home in
the small fishing community of Bayou La Batre, Alabama.

“Now you’re all mine,” he whispers near my skin, causing my arms to prickle with gooseflesh when his
breath tickles my ear. “All mine.”
The strength of his arms around me coaxes my body to full awareness. I inhale his scent as he pulls me
into his chest—a mixture of sweat, leather, and smoke. I am forever stunned by the way our bodies mold
together, like nothing in this icy wilderness could ever feel this warm, this perfect, this well-matched. I
belong to him, and he to me.
His kisses trail across my cheek and down my neck. I lift my chin when the stubble of his days-old beard
scratches the tender flesh he’s now consuming. He reaches for the first button of my dress and I close my
eyes, anticipating the feel of his fingers on my willing skin when he whispers, “First, come with me, my
love. I have something to show you.”

The Stars That Rise at Dawn
Šehhinah Book 1
By Ivana Skye
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Yenatru had always had trouble making friends. So he didn’t expect that

he’d have such an easy time befriending Lucifer…

Meanwhile, his one previous friend Elīya is still not over the loss of the
third member of their friend group, Tamar. She disappeared one day to
become one of God’s Holy, and as far as Elīya’s concerned,
nothing’s ever been the same. It doesn’t help that her university
philosophy program is turning out much less interesting than she’d hope.
It could be that Yenatru’s weird new friend has just the skills she
needs to solve all her problems. But in order to get Lucifer’s
help, she’ll have to confront parts of herself she’s never dared to.

The Birds That Fly at Dusk
Šehhinah Book 2

Celyet’s been trying to keep her head low ever since she left the camp of

demons she grew up in. But then she actually talks to a barista at
the local coffee shop. And then an angel gets involved…

Celyet finds nothing more terrifying than
the idea of being misued or
misinterpreted by people. That’s why she hasn’t been talking to
anyone for half a year. But when she challenges herself to visit
somewhere in town she’s never been, she ends up making a terrible
mistake, bringing her time spent hiding to an abrupt end.
Sän may work at a coffee shop, but that doesn’t mean they know how to
comfort people. But they really want to find a way to make a
difference for that sad-looking demon who keeps coming in.
And just because the shop’s owned by the angel Jibril doesn’t mean
that they’re going to stop by anytime soon and start flinging puns
at people … right?

The Lives That Argue For Us

Šehhinah Book 3

Teśena and Kjorel have been in an open relationship for years. But when

Kjorel leaves to travel for eight months, Teśena doesn’t really
have anyone else to turn to. Well, except the most powerful person in
the world…

Everyone knows God
is made of fire. So of course no one would ever suggest that the
easily-overwhelmed Teśena try praying to Them. Then why, when Teśena
tries to do exactly that in a moment of desperation, do they seem to
get along so well?
On the other
side of the world, Kjorel’s dealing with a loneliness of his own.
That is, until he starts his visit to the city of Ēnnuh, and finds a
boyfriend within a few days. With no way to contact Teśena, he can
only hope their previous agreements stand … or that Teśena will
improbably find a way to communicate with him anyway.
After all, what’s a few thousand miles when you have God on your side?

Ivana Skye is a disaster without a permanent address, who much like her

characters, spends a lot of time navigating the transition into
adulthood and screaming. Oh, and writing. She does a lot of that too.

Despite currently being in the middle of multiple months
of travel through various countries she is not from, she still
retains a strong connection to the state of Colorado, where she will
probably permanently live. Eventually.

[Excerpt from The Stars that Rise at Dawn:]
“Most people think of you as somewhat dignified,” Yenatru points out. “Someone with
pride. Impressive.”
Lucifer clutches a hand to her chest. “Ow, don’t go implying I don’t have pride.
I like being prideful! ’S fun.”
“You are attempting and failing to banter with some really shy boy you met in a
university library,” Yenatru says, deadpan.
“I did say I was pathetic,” Lucifer says with a smile. “Do you believe me now?”
Yenatru thinks about that for a moment, then nods. “Yes. Yes, I believe you.”
Lucifer’s smile turns harder, almost determined. “Good.”

[Excerpt from the prologue of The Stars that Rise at Dawn:]
But there’s no fear anywhere in her. She’s looked. She’s said to herself so many times
today: if I have any hesitation, I’ll stop, I won’t do it. But she has none. And maybe that’s what
should scare her.
It doesn’t, though.
Besides, she only just a month back graduated secondary school, was officially
declared an adult. This is exactly the right time to decide to become something, not for any
reason she can quite name, but because everything in her says yes and nothing in her says no,
and what kind of person would she be if she didn’t listen to that?

[Excerpt from the prologue of The Birds that Fly at Dusk:]
She presses her hand against the clay at her side, lets the softness of it sink into her
skin. It’s almost strange to touch her soul, except not strange at all: it feels like home.
Safety.
Refuge.
Everything she is meant to be, and she is meant to be so much.

[Excerpt from The Lives that Argue for Us:]
Teśena’s not quite sure how this works, how to think to someone who’s this here with
aer, but ae tries, ae imagines almost an opening up of the memory of it all—and somehow this
act, this unfurling, itself gently glows.
A thousand wings shift again, eyes made of fire open and close, wheels made of fire
turn and turn. And the fire of God’s wings moves as if closer to aer, almost as if laughing,
understanding, something like a mirror wrapped in one of the wheels reflecting.
Teśena has made terrible, impulsive decisions, ae understands.
And God seems to respect that in the way God respects Themself.

Broken Bastard
Broken Series Book 1
Present Day
My name is Tyler Maxwell Alexander. I’m twenty-eight years old. A few
months ago, I had it all. An executive job in a prestigious
investment firm owned by my father. Ha! Yeah, right – father. I’ll
explain about that later. I lived in a waterfront apartment
overlooking the harbor and drove a Mercedes convertible. Then, in the
blink of an eye, it was gone. All of it. Everything, except the
fucking clothes on my back. I was broken. A bastard. Did I mention,
I’m gay? No? Oh well, I have now.

This is the story of how my fairytale life turned to shit in
the blink of
an eye…….
I write a
variety of stories including Male/Male, Menage and
Shapeshifter.
Each book has a strong focus on story line with romantic interest building
throughout.

I explore real life issues from kids on the streets to motorcyle war
and put my own twist on each one.
I hope you take the opportunity to check out my offerings.

I spend the rest of the afternoon working on the Murphy account. A couple in their
mid-fifties, like my dad, who want to earn a little extra money to help make their retirement a
comfortable one. They want a third of their funds in safe investments, forty percent in low
risk and the last thirty percent in high risk.
Maxine and Thomas Murphy are a nice couple and I enjoy our chats when they come
to my office. They are the typical mom and dad investors our firm caters to and have one
hundred and twenty thousand dollars to invest. Not much to a business like ours. It’s five in
the evening when I close the file, satisfied I have placed their money wisely.
My phone buzzes and I smile as the message flashes on the screen. It’s Ryan. “Good
for tonight? 6pm at Riccardo’s?”
I text back, “yes” before pushing the chair back and standing. The files, previously
scattered all over my desk, are placed back in their folders in a walnut cabinet by the wall. I
check nothing is left out before turning the key in the lock to secure them for the night. That’s
something else that pisses me off – dad will only allow old fashioned hardcopy files. He
doesn’t know, that against his instructions, I also have them on my computer. I swear to
fucking God, my father and brother are dinosaurs.
I leave my office and am halfway down the hallway to the elevator when dad calls
from behind. I groan, wondering what he’ll want now. Turning around, I wait for him to
approach.
“Dad?”
“Where are you going?”
“Out for a drink with a friend.” Not that it’s any of your fucking business.
He raises an eyebrow. “Girlfriend?”
Yeah, nope, he doesn’t know I’m gay. None of my family are privy to that tidbit of
information. While mom and my brother would not take it well, dad would fucking lose it.
He’s by far the worst bigot I know. I can see it now, the explosion of his temper would
catapult us into the fucking stratosphere. Nope, definitely not going to give him that piece of
information anytime soon, if ever.
“No, friend from school. Why?”
Dad shoves his hands in the pockets of his Gucci pants and lowers his eyes to the
floor.
I follow his line of sight wondering what is suddenly so interesting down there. His
feet shuffle about and I wonder what he is so nervous about.
“Dad?”
He lifts his eyes to mine and licks his lips. Hmmm, definitely nervous.
“Samuel didn’t get the account.”
“I could say, I told you so.” I’m a smug sonofabitch. He’s taught me some things well.

“Yeah, well there’s more.” Dad swallows so hard, his Adam’s apple moves from the
bottom of his throat to the top at the speed of an express elevator. “Pope wants to leave four
hundred thousand with us, like he told you, for high risk investment. The rest he is taking
from us. He will only stay if you handle his account.”
“Why me? You said yourself, Samuel would do a better job.” I can’t resist throwing
his earlier sarcastic words back in his face.
“He said he’ll go high risk and pay our thirty percent only with you because you’ve
never let him down. He only trusts you.”
I lean against the wall, cross one leg over the other and fold my arms over my chest.
“You said the account was no longer mine so I’m focusing on other clients now.” I’m
enjoying doing this to the fucker, making him sweat. As an executive of the company, I can
accept or refuse any account as I see fit. Dad knows this and he also knows, he’s rubbed me
the wrong way.

What is it that puts, Wendy, Kyle’s foreman in danger?
Why are the people Kyle cares about keeping Secrets?
I write a
variety of stories including Male/Male, Menage and Shapeshifter.
Each book has a strong focus on story
line with romantic interest building
throughout.
I explore real life issues from kids on the streets to motorcyle war
and put my own twist on each one.
I hope you take the opportunity to check out my offerings.

CHAPTER ONE

KYLE
I gathered the reins on Grifter, my majestic black gelding and scanned the
horizon one last time before turning toward home. I hoped I’d done enough to prevent
the feral cats and foxes from taking down any more of the cattle. Electrifying the
boundary fence had been costly and time consuming but, I couldn’t keep Dufus in the
barn for the rest of his days and couldn’t risk losing my prized bull. The randy bull
produced high quality calves which sold for a small fortune and it was what kept us
making good money rather than just scraping by.
I galloped my mount across the open paddocks and felt the strength between my
thighs as his muscles rippled and flexed. The horse’s strides were lengthy, he loved to
gallop flat out and he ate up the ground in no time. When I slowed to approach the barn,
I noticed my foreman, Wendy, talking with someone. Someone who caused my groin to
tighten and heart to beat faster. Even with his back to me, I knew who the curly blonde
locks belonged to.
His shoulders were much broader than the last time I’d seen him, his hair longer
and it lifted in the slight breeze. The jeans he wore were molded over one helluva sexy
ass.
Wendy waved when she saw me approach and the man spun around to face me.
My heart missed a few beats when he smiled, pressure mounted behind the zipper of
the jeans as my cock thickened with interest.
“Luke Kelly.” I barely whispered the words. It had been fifteen years since I’d last
seen the man who’d haunted my dreams for more than half of my life. He’d gone off to
university in the big smoke to study law and his family had moved away shortly after.
I’d assumed Luke would be working in his father’s legal practice in Brisbane. So, what
was he doing here? It wasn’t as if we’d ever been friends.
Wendy took the reins I held out and I dismounted. Luke took two long strides
toward me, his hand outstretched. I knew it was a mistake the moment our fingers
touched. A shudder cannoned through me and I fought to keep my composure as we
shook.
“Kyle Walker, been a long time.”
“Luke Kelly. It has been a long time. I guess you’re working with your father,
how’s the legal business going? What brings you back here to Clearlea?” More
specifically, my ranch.
“Didn’t much like the business of being a lawyer so I joined the police force,
worked out of the Gold Coast. I tired of being in the city though, missed being here in the
country. I got a promotion to Detective Senior Sargent and requested a transfer here to
take charge of your town.”
“Congratulations, but why my place?”
“I heard your dad left the property to you and wanted to come by and say hi. I
know we weren’t friends or anything in school but, I always admired your ability to
ignore those around you and get on with what you wanted to do.”
“It wasn’t hard to melt into the background when you’re a country geek
surrounded by football studs and cheerleaders.”

“We never purposely ignored you, we….”
I waved my hand in the air. “Long time ago, Luke, water under the bridge. You
still haven’t answered me though, I find it hard to believe you only came out here to say
hello. Was there something you needed?” Me? Please say me. Get your fucking head on
the right way, Walker. Football Player. Cop. Straight!
I caught the glance he shot in Wendy’s direction and it hit me. Straight guy
remember and Wendy is one gorgeous woman. One very single, straight, gorgeous
woman.
“Oh, sorry, you’re here to see Wendy, I’ll leave you to it.”
I stepped away but was stopped in my tracks when Luke’s large hand gripped
the top of my arm.
“No, it’s you I need to speak with. I kind of need a favor.”
