I found out about Yamodo games on twitter. The idea of Yamodo is that you are given a tablet. Each page of the tablet has a made up word and a start of a drawing. Each player takes turns adding to a description of what they think the word means and adding to the drawing to illustrate the idea. This game can have any number of players. It is appropriate for a wide range of ages. Players are eliminated when they no longer know what to add to the picture/description.
There are several theme versions of the game to choose from: Magic and Mayhem, Gizmos and Gadgets, and Monsters and Aliens
There is also Yamodo Party, Yamodo good to go, and Yamodo vol. 1.
I got to review the Magic and Mayhem version. I played with my 8 and 6 year old. The first one we tried was the Yamodo word “gigglerocks” We had fun adding to the description and drawing. My 8 year old actually won that round.
This is a great game for your upcoming holiday parties, to encourage your children/grandchildren’s creativity and imagination, for a stocking stuffer, or $10 gift. It’s also a good game if you don’t want anything too complicated or something you can play while your waiting for the turkey to get out of the oven. Also a good game to keep the kids entertained on car trips.
*I received a free copy of Yamodo Magic and Mayhem for review purposes. Giveaway prize is provided by Yamodo and will be shipped from the company. I was under no obligation to give a positive review. Any opinions or suggestions stated are my own. *
