She has worked with families afflicted by alcohol abuse since 2000 and has written extensively about adult children of alcoholics. In 2015 she published a self-help book in Danish: Du er ikke alene: en opvækst med alkoholproblemer (“You are not alone: An upbringing shaped by alcohol problems”), now in its third printing. Raised in a Bottle: A Workbook for Adult Children of Alcoholics (in progress) is her first book in English. She received her Master in Psychology from the University of Aarhus, Denmark in 2012.
