Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.A few years ago, I started experiencing what I like to call “stomach issues”. It wasn’t really “stomach” issues it was colon issues. When you’re standing their holding your abdomen from craps or making a bee line for the closest rest room it’s just slightly less embarrassing for me to say “stomach issues”. After years of dealing with it and having it get worse over time I finally got an answer: ulcerative colitis. Honestly I was happy to finally have a diagnosis and be able to start treating it. My doctor put me on medications. It does help some but I haven’t found anything that helps all the time. I’ve read everything from “try this diet” to “oh you should try this medication”. As long as it’s safe, I’m not opposed to trying certain things. I’ve read some about detoxes but there’s so many and some of them takes weeks or a whole week. If you buy a detox program it could be hundreds of dollars. I looked into one that was a 2 week juice cleanse, They’s send you all the drink s you needed for the cleanse but it was $300!!
So down to the reason for this post. I had an opportunity to try a natural dietary supplement from bioterraherbs. Before I even begin my review I just want to state clearly that this products (as well as most herbal products) has the typical FDA disclaimers “These statements have not be reviewed by the FDA, not intended to treat, cure or diagnose any conditions or diseases.”* Always check with your doctor before adding or trying any herbs, supplements, or medications in case there is a reaction with your current medication or you have allergies. Ok I got the disclaimer info out of the way, now onto the review.
Bioterraherbs.com “ahh” Detox is a gentle natural herbal supplement. The packaging states it can help eliminate toxins, provides a gentle internal cleansing, and support liver function.
There are two different ways to use this product. You can take 2 capsules daily for a for maintenance or 4 capsules a day for 2 days to do a detox. I was interested to see how this would work with my stomach issues. With the issues I have I figured there was no harm in trying. I did the 2 day cleanse right away. Then I took 2 capsules a day for maintenance. My normal daily symptoms include: cramping, bloating, ..um frequent bathroom visits we’ll say, and gas (sorry but it’s the truth). When I have a bad flare up there is also bleeding but I haven’t had a bad one in a little while thank goodness. Anywho after doing the cleanse and taking the 2 capsules daily for just a week I felt pretty good. In all honesty I didn’t feel bloated and virtually no gas. The box playfully states “Purify on YOUR time, anytime (Just not recommended while you’re camping, stuck in traffic, or going on long car trips). I’m guessing that’s there because it could cause some bathroom visits but honestly I have that issue anyway so it was no different for me in that department .
The capsules were easy to swallow. I didn’t personally experience any side effects of issues taking this product. It did make me feel a little better. I was happy not to have any cramping or bloating for the week I’ve been taking the product so far. This is one product I will continue with because I personally noticed a difference with it.
