I’ve mentioned before that I work in a local trauma hospital as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.  I need to take patients blood pressures from time to time, sometimes manually and sometimes with an automatic cuff.  I’ve been wanting one for home too.  See my husband’s side of the family has a lot of heart related issues.  Unfortunately his uncle and his grandfather on his dad and mom’s side all died of heart attacks at a fairly young age.  I’m worried about my husband.  I’m constantly harping on him about eating healthier and not buying all the prepacked snack cakes and chips that he enjoys so.

When I had the chance to review the Ozeri CardioTech Premium Series BP3T Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor with Intelligent Hypertension Indicator, I gladly said yes.

The Ozeri Cardio Tech BP3T is easy to use.  When you receive it you get the blood pressure cuff, the digital monitor, the case to keep it in, and 4 AAA batteries that it needs.  You are able to use it within a few minutes of taking it out of it’s shipping box.  You just put in the 4 AAA batteries and it has a short, easy to follow instruction booklet.  You plug the cuff into the digital monitor and you’re ready to use it.
It has an A and B user switch so you can keep track of 2 different people’s blood pressure on the monitor and save it for future reference. The screen is quite big and easy to read. The blue LCD LED background makes it quite visible.  I took my own blood pressure and took a pic of the screen so you can see how it reads.
It tells you your blood pressure and your pulse per minute.  Also if you notice the bar on the bottom underneath the numbers.  It tells you if your reading is good or not.  My blood pressure says “optimal”.  When I took my hubby’s it said “normal high”.  It also could say normal, high or other indicators depending on your blood pressure, this is the hypertension indicator.  I like this blood pressure cuff because even someone without any medical training could use it. Just put the cuff on the arm, push start, and it does the rest.  Even if you don’t know how to read the number or know exactly what a good or bad blood pressure is, the handy bar will tell you.  It also detects irregular heart beats.
My kids actually liked this too.  They would come ask me, mom can you take my blood pressure today?  We would pretend that I was “Dr. Mommy” and I was taking their blood pressure.
Never mind that my 9 yr old is shirtless.  These boys won’t keep their shirts on in the summer time.  That number 37 you see on the screen, it’s counting up as it’s taking his blood pressure then displays his pressure in a matter of 10 seconds or so.
You can purchase the Ozeri Cardio Tech Premium Series BP3T Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor on Amazon.  It’s actually on sale, it’s normally $124.95 but it’s on sale right now for $59.95.  If you are in need of a home blood pressure monitor that’s easy to use, this is the one to get.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
