Years ago, when I thought of Duct Tape I thought of that really strong sliver-ish tape and that was about it. Duct Tape now has a variety of products including packing tape as well as Duct Tape with cool and exciting designs. It’s not just gray anymore.
As a Shoplet.com blogger I received a Duck Tape brand package that will (and has been) put to good use. My husband has an ebay store and sends multiple packages out throughout the week. He definitely appreciated the Duck Tape EZ Start Premium Packaging tape.
The Duck Tape EZ Start Premium Packaging tape includes 2 preloaded dispensers and a refill roll. The preloaded dispensers have 60 yards of tape while the bonus roll has 30 yards of tape.
I have bought off name packaging tape before. Most of the time they ended up being more of a headache then the money I saved was worth. They weren’t as strong as some of the name brands like the Duck Tape brand I received. Sometimes the other ones wouldn’t tare right or the dispenser was nearly worthless. Duct Tape brand is strong, the dispensers in the EZ Start kit worked well, and the taring was uniform. I had no problems with the use of this tape.
The next product I was sent was the Duck Tape brand EZ Start One Handed. This is also the Duck EZ Start premium packaging tape with dispenser.
This convenient one handed tape dispenser is great for the busy mom or a quick tape job. It includes 55 yards of premium packaging tape. The unique feature about this dispenser is, it has a little roller near the sharp cutting edge to make dispensing the tape and swiping it across your box or package a smooth and easy process. I had never seen packaging tape with the little roller on it before. I tried to show you the roller in this next picture.
Last but not least is the Zebra printed Duck Tape I received. Yea, you read that right, Zebra printed Duck Tape. I have to admit, this is not the first time I saw this product. I work at a local hospital in the therapy department. Our walkers kept disappearing. Sometime they were accidently sent home with patients or someone from another floor would “borrow” them and not bring them back to the appropriate floor. We tried to spray paint them to color coordinate to each floor but that was only temporary. Then one person had a neat idea. She got some of the neon and zebra printed Duck Tape and decorated the walker with them. They stood out well so you could spot a walker going off the floor from a distance and it was very visible to patients and staff so they knew they belonged on the floor. I thought it was a great idea. Unfortunately I’m not able to take a picture of them but I can show you this cool tape.
Some great ideas of the patterned and colored tape? Well how about covering a school book with brown paper bags or newspaper to make a book cover then decorating the homemade book over with one of the varieties of colorful tapes available on Shoplet.com?
When you make a yard sale or fundraiser sign, consider adding some of this tape as a border or, if it’s a bigger sign, use the tape to create your letters. Decorate a cardboard box with the tape and use the box as a unique garbage can or temporary storage box . Ok one more idea (but I could really keep going), how about buying a bunch of different colors and designs when your packing boxes to move. Kitchen boxes could be sealed with red tape, Bedroom boxes could be sealed with spotted leopard print, your daughter’s room could be sealed with neon pink, etc.
