With so much in the news anymore about crazy chemicals and other oddball things in our food and products we use on our bodies, it’s nice to see a company that tries to do right for both body and environment.  Dr. Woods specializes in 100% natural castile soaps.  They use organic oils as well.

I had a chance to try one of Dr. Woods products. I received the Dr. Woods Lavender Castile Soap bar.  The soap bars are triple milled.  They use organic lavender, essential oils, organic shea butter, vitamin E.   I could smell the lavender before I even opened the box.  I LOVE the smell of lavender.

The scent of the lavender enveloped me in the shower.  This was a perfect scent choice for me because shower time is about the only time I have to myself and I enjoy a long hot shower.  The scent did not seem to linger though.  I felt like as soon as I got out of the shower the scent was gone. It felt gentle on my skin.  The bar itself is a generous size.  5.25 oz bar.

Another thing I like about this soap is the ingredient list. Seriously, it’s nice to look at an ingredient list and know exactly what’s in it.  Not some 16 letter word I can’t pronounce.

Don’t worry if bar soaps aren’t your thing. They also have 100% natural liquid castile soap and facial cleansers.
