Kinoko Gold AHCC for Immune Health review and giveaway!

AHCC which stands for Active Hexose Correlated Compound, is a mushroom based nutrient that comes from Japan. It comes from Shitake mushrooms.  It has been shown to boost immune systems and also has anti-inflammatory properties along with other benefits.

A recent clinical study at Michigan State University shows that AHCC enhances the the seasonal flu shot to make it even more effect.  20 human clinical studies have also helped support the findings.  The flu season goes through March but many of you know it’s important to keep a strong healthy immune system all year long.  It is the world’s most researched specialty immune supplement for over 80 years.

There are others things we can do to help keep our immune systems healthy like getting daily exercise, eating healthy, and getting 8 hours of sleep each night.  Adding Kinko Gold AHCC from Quality of Life labs to your daily routine would also be beneficial.

I for one, strongly dislike mushrooms.  My hubby likes them, my parents liked them. I make myself try them every so many years or if I see them cooked a different way.  I just don’t like the taste no matter how I eat them.  I had heard that mushrooms, especially Shitake mushrooms were supposed to be good for you and have a number of health benefits.  So when I had the opportunity to try this, I jumped on it.  
The capsules are vegetarian and gluten-free.  When I took the capsules (recommended at least 2 capsules a day on the bottle) I had a faint after taste of mushroom at the back of my mouth.  It wasn’t too bad and was gone quickly.  Especially when I finished drinking my water.  For those that like mushrooms, this would probably be quite pleasant for you.  
My review of this product came at a perfect time.  My youngest has been congested and had a runny nose for about 2 days prior to me receiving the sample bottle. I started taking it immediately.  I’ve been taking the supplement for 5 days now and still  no sign of a cold for me (knock on wood).  It seems as though it is doing something for my immune system.
