Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
This post was supposed to be a review for Jewelry in Candles wax tarts by Chrissy. I was excited to try the product because I had never tried this brand before and had never tried a wax tart with jewelry before. The scent i was to receive was called Chocolate Fudge. I received a sample of the product in the mail but I don’t feel it can give a good representation of the brand. This is what was pictured when I applied for the review:
This is what I actually received in the mail.
The description that came along with my sample and has now been added to the application listing where I first applied for this review states:
“*Note:Made by Rep Jewelry In Candles by Chrissy using melted wax from actual JIC products. Notice: Shape, size and pattern is my creation and for demo purpose only. Samples do not contain jewelry. Being that the tart was melted down, the scent will not be as strong. Not for resale.”
Being that the shape, size, pattern, packing, and scent are not the same as the actual product and there was no jewelry to evaluate, I don’t feel I can give a fair review of this product. What I can say is that the sample I received did have a sweet chocolate smell which was really nice. I’d have loved to smell it full strength. Other than taking the reps word for it there would be no way to know this is actually a Jewelery in Candle wax tarts sample.
I hope you can understand my post. I don’t think it’s fair to evaluate a product without the actual product. I don’t like to just not do a review so this is the best solution I have at the time.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I feel your post is absolutely perfect. If I had applied for this review I would have expected a jewelry tart with actual jewelry in it.
These Are Awesome I Need To Get Some!!
I was also sent one of these samples, only mine was delivered broken into tiny pieces and had a strong unappealing scent. I wasn’t even sure what it was. I chose to not write about it. Maybe I should.
This is nice and they smell good.
