Good Luck!
I get my kids to eat healthier by treating some of the veggies like rewards, for example I would say something like I’ll make my special brussel sprouts for dinner tonight if you get your room clean (luckily they like them enough to do the task :P)
We like to plant our foods as much as we can. I let them pick out the seeds of veggies and fruits they enjoy. I do buy items at the store and they will try new things on there own so its pretty easy for us.
By mixing in healthy food with other foods that they already enjoy
I’ve been known to sneak it into their foods. They love muffins so you throw in some veggies and they never know, same thing for soups and stews. Other times I tell them they can’t have the dessert until they eat so many of whatever vegetable I’m trying to get them to eat.
I like to keep fruit on hand, even some in packages,so they can eat with their meals!
I’ve always started my children off with healthy food. However, my granddaughter just moved in with me, and it’s the biggest challenge I’ve seen with food. Even when I hide veggies in things, she refuses to eat it. She wants to live on chicken nuggets and fries. Oh, and candy! It’s a battle I’m losing.
By example always worked well in my family.
My niece is pretty good about eating healthy foods, to be honest! No tricks needed here.
Get them involved in making the food. 🙂
