New Social Media Influencer Platform to Earn

UPDATE: Since this posting Advowire no longer exists

I recently found about about a site called Advowire by HireInfluence from another blogger.  It’s a social media Influencer platform that allows you to earn money by sharing premade, FTC compliant status to your social media networks.  Depending on the campaign, you can share to Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin.  I got an email saying you can share to twitter every 12 hours today.

I’ve only been a member of Advowire by HireInfluence for 4 days but I’ve already earned almost $5.  The payments are decided by your level, if I refer you you skip the “new” level and go right to level 2 whereas if you sign up on the site directly you start at the “new” level.   It is a new site so there aren’t tons of opportunities yet but even with that it’s easy money.  When I initially signed up it said to be a social influencer you had to have so many followers on each platform.  It said 500 for twitter, 250 for facebook fan, 100 personal facebook, and 100 for Linkedin.

Here is a screen shot of the tasks on my board and my earnings so far.

I have referral emails I can send.  By allowing me to refer you, you’ll start as a level 2 influencer (rather than at the new level if you sign up directly on the site).  If you’re interested you can either: 1. leave your email in the comments if you’re comfortable, 2.  email me your email address to angwith4@gmail.com 3. OR you can DM me on twitter @LuvSavingMoney.

Here is one of the tweets I did.  My shares are worth 78 cents each.  Just so it’s said, I do earn 1% for each referral.

Update on Hurricane Golf Tours and Golf Shop

In May I did I blog promotion for Hurricane Golf Tours and Golf Shop.  I feel the need to write this post as I see they are promoting Living Social deals for their shop and other promotions.

After fulfilling the requirements for them I was sent a gift card to use on there site.  I ordered a pair of Nike shorts from the site.  The shorts cost more than the gift card so I used my credit card to pay for the remaining $23 that included shipping too.  This order was placed May 23 and I received a confirmation with the details of my order and order #.  Exactly a week later I received an email that says a noted was added to my order.  The note said “Killed Blog Promo Orders”.  I was hoping it wasn’t what I thought it was saying.  I waited a few more days to see if I’d received my shorts or a refund to my credit card for the $23.  I received neither.

I emailed the company on June 5 inquiring about what was happening with my order.  They never replied.  I waited a bit longer to see if they would simply refund my money or I’d receive the shorts.  Today I realized it’s been a while and still no shorts or refund.  I contacted the blogger group I had done the promotion through.  Turns out I wasn’t the only one that received nothing for the work we did and they aren’t replying to the marketing people either. I sent another email using an email address on their site today so we’ll see what happens.

My advice is not to take advantage of the living social deal or any other deal . There is something fishy going on here.  I can not recommend this company anymore. I have removed any posts from my blog on the advice of the blogger group I worked with and I’m going through my social media to see if I can find those posts as well.

Gifts for Grads from Best Buy

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free

Do you know a grad who just graduated high school? Maybe a grad who will be moving into a college dorm room or apartment soon?  Maybe a college grad ready to go out into the work force and start their own life.  Best Buy has lots of fun and functional gift for grads.  I think about when I moved into an apartment with roomates in Pittsburgh years ago to start college.  I think about the things that would have been nice to have or things I needed.  I realize some things have changed since then but others haven’t.

If I could have wished for anything I wanted when I went to college it would have been a cell phone, lap top, and a wireless printer.  I only got to come home every 6 weeks for a weekend.  My parents did end up getting me a cell phone to call home.  I had an old desk top computer and printer but it was hard to concentrate in my room with my roomates sometimes.  I think it would have been nice to have a lap top so I could go down to the lounge or the library at my school to type of papers and such.  Best Buy has some great gifts for the grads that are moving out.  Who wouldn’t want a Best Buy gift?
