Hair Flairs Review and Giveaway—CLOSED

Hair Flairs Pro Hair Tinsel is a unique, fun, and easy way to add a different look to your hair.  I’ve seen these and thought how neat they would look if they really looked that way when I put them in.  If you recall from a previous review, I admit, I’m no hairstylist by any stretch of the imagination.  I’m lucky if I can put a pony tail in straight.  When I received my hair flairs to review, I was a little nervous. The informational brochure was talking about offering them in your Salon to customers and such.  After reading that I’m thinking, “oh my they chose the wrong girl for this job.”

Then I read over the step by step instructions provided.  Actually, I think I CAN do this.  The for good measure i watched Hair Flair’s instructional video on youtube:

The information says you can brush and style your hair with the Hair Flairs in.  You can even use a curling iron or straight iron.  The instructions give options for if you want them in for only a day or two OR if you’d like them in as long as possible.  It says 1-6 weeks depending on the strength of the knots.

So ok here goes nothing.  Guess what people?! I did it!  I don’t think it turned out too bad either.

The Hair Flair strands are really long.  I have hair that just goes past my shoulders.  I cute the strands in half and was still able to fold them in half as the instructions state.  I still had to trim a little off the end when I was done.  Given my non-skills in hair styling my hair tinsel came out after 2 days.  I then decided to try it in my sisters hair.  She was so excited to have the gold color strands since she has dark hair like mine and we’re Steeler’s fans!  My sister has tight curly hair that is just above her shoulders.  Here’s how her’s turned out:

I had fun with these.  These are a fun way to support your sports team, for holidays, parties, teens, special occasions, or anytime.  There are so many colors to choose from as well.

Buy it:  you can place an order for Hair Flairs right on their website: www.hairflairs.com.  If you’re a beauty supplier or salon you can get the wholesale also to add to your salon services.

Review Summary:  At only $10 for 60 36″ strand this is a great alternative to getting an affordable and unique look.  Think about this mom: $10 for a temporary cool look for your teen OR yourself without damaging hair dyes.  This would also be a fun addition to girls night-out.  And as I stated in my review, with the length of my hair I was actually able to cut the strand in half and get 2 strands out of it to stretch that dollar even further.

Scandle Candle’s Shimmering Lotion Candle Review

http://abodycandle.com/shimmering_lotion.php
The idea of the Scandle Candles sounded cool. If in fact, they worked like they are supposed to. Then I heard they were introducing a Shimmering Lotion Candle. I love anything that shimmers or sparkles. So when I was offered the chance to try Scandle Candle’s new Shimmering Lotion Candle, I was all too willing.

What makes Scandle Candles unique from other candles is that Scandle Candles can be lit for fragrance, BUT, it’s also a perfect massage oil or body lotion.  Yea, that’s right, two purposes. The Shimmering Lotion Candle gives your skin a natural shimmer.  It can mask wrinkles and skin imperfections by deflecting light.  As I stated earlier, it’s also a great moisturizer and scented candle.

So my first thought was, “ok if you light it, blow it out, then apply it to your skin, won’t it be unbearably hot?!”  The answer is no. Scandle Candles burn at only 2 degrees above our normal body temperature.  It’s also great for a cuticle treatment during manicures and pedicures.

The Shimmering Lotion Candle scent  I received from Scandle Candle was Copa Cabana in the convenient travel tin size.  This small travel tin packed a nice scent. We lit it in the the bedroom.  The entire bedroom filled with the Copa Cabana scent within 10 minutes.

My husband agreed to be my test subject.  I really wondered how easy it would be to work with during a massage.  I’m still in the frame of mind of a “regular” candle at this point thinking “won’t it start to harden?”, I’m sure it’s not going to lubricate well.”  Well I was wrong on both accounts.  Scandle Candle recommends letting the Shimmering Lotion Candle burn for 30 minutes or until it metls to the sides of the container.  You then blow out the candle.  You can pour the melted candle into your hand and use. It was a great massage oil.  With one small palm full i was able to massage his back and arms completely and for about 10 minutes.  At this point I didn’t tell him it was a Shimmering Lotion Candle because I was afraid he wouldn’t let me use it on him lol.

So then it was my turn.  The Shimmering lotion felt wonderful on my back.  It did not leave my skin feeling oily.  Instead my skin felt quenched.  The tropical sent of Copa Cabana was pleasant and lingered on my skin.  I applied some to my hand so you could see the subtle shimmer the Shimmering lotion leaves.

The Scandle Candle Shimmering Lotion Candle tin has an elastic band bracelet with the phrase “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” that you can wear after the candle is gone.

Buy it:  You can buy your own Shimmering Lotion Scandle Candle on their website: www.scandlecandle.com  or look on their site to find a retailer.

Review Summary:  I enjoyed the Scandle Candle Shimmering Lotion Candle. The fact that the candle serves several purposes and really works like it’s supposed to makes this a great value.  This would be an excellent gift for the upcoming holidays. This is unique way to add a little romance.  Would be great for so many purposes.

***I received the Scandle Candle Shimmering Lotion Candle at no cost to be able to complete a review.  I did not receive any monetary compensation for this post.  All opinions expressed are my own.***
