Eternal Victim Book Tour & Giveaway 4/26 – 5/26

Eternal Victim
by Dexter Morgenstern
Genre: Paranormal Horror
From the
author of “The Slender Man” comes a fast-paced,
terrifying tale, filled with gruesome murderers, ghostly
abominations, and a dark puzzle that connects them all to the Witness.
Follow the Witness as she travels through a perpetual series of
nightmares,
haunted by a mixture of pernicious serial killers and their
imprisoned, undead victims, known as preta. As she wanders through
time and memories shared by the killers and their victims, she fights
to solve the puzzle of their connection to each other and to herself.
Her only hope of salvation lies in connecting key victims to the
souls who can rescue them, thus waking her from the nightmare, but
one killer follows the next, bringing forth a new set of victims, a
new score of preta, and immediately landing her in a new terror.

Dexter is a Southern-born Seattle author
and model. Homeschooled after a
diagnosis of mild Asperger’s, he learned to play to his strengths
as an energetic, creative artist. He began writing at the age of
fifteen, and published his first novel two years later. Outside of
art, Dexter spends his time gaming, studying, and socializing with
other ambitious minds. As an army brat, he attained a pragmatic sense
of discipline that he uses to balance his artistic endeavors with his
academic ones. Dexter’s ultimate goal is to contribute to the
subjugation of humanity by artificial intelligence.

I gasp, pulling my head out of a metal tub, and slip down the side, landing in a heap on the dirty floor. I cough,
spit-ting up the fetid water I’ve swallowed, then gasp again, finally heaving some stale oxygen into my lungs.
What nightmare is this? I rub the water from the eyes, shivering beneath the icy droplets and frosty air. I just
drowned… in someone else’s body. I stay like that for several minutes, staring at the rusted tub and trying to
force myself to comprehend what just happened. How am I alive? Am I even alive? I finally turn over to see
another sink across from me, a mirror looming above it.
I let out an exasperated breath that seems to fog up the entire room before managing to pull myself upright. I
stand and hobble over to the sink. In the mirror, there is still no reflection. I look back at the bathroom
doorway. The door itself seems to have fallen apart, and a dark passageway stretches into black.
I look back into the mirror. For a moment there is nothing; and then I fall, that silhouette appearing once more.
This time, it doesn’t send the world spinning. I crawl back, all the way to the wall, clutching a hand to my
mouth, though there is no voice, no scream to suppress.
A head emerges from the mirror, then shoulders. Two pallid hands reach out and grab the sink. I close my
eyes, hoping the monster will go away, but when I open them, it—she—stands directly over me. I flinch again,
but when I look back, nothing but a hand is offered.
“Come with me,” she softly instructs.
Hesitantly, I take the hand. As she pulls me to my feet, the light in the room flickers back on, illuminating us
both. Before me is a brown-skinned, black-haired young woman.
Like Ada, Christiana, and me, the bruises and scars along her skin tell the tale of what I can only assume was a
brutal and bloody murder. The dimness in her once-brown eyes betrays no emotion.
“You don’t have a lot left in you. You have to move,” she says.
I take a few breaths, trying initially to respond, but she shakes her head. She knows I am without a voice. I
look toward the doorway and then back to her. She nods.
“You don’t have time to wait here and panic. The killer gets closer with every breath. The closer it is to
finding you, the more the balance is in its favor.”
She flickers, her widening eyes finally betraying the fear within her.
“You can’t let him hurt you again. Not here, not when the balance is this close to darkness,” she explains.
“Witness and learn, and the balance will return to you. Then you can escape.”
The balance? Witness? What?

The Guardians Book Tour & Giveaway 4/25 – 5/25

The Guardians
The Tempest Isle Series Book 1
by S.C. Storm and Rena Marin
Genre: YA Fantasy

Hidden in the beauty of a cluster of islands, unbeknownst to humans, a
supernatural war rages. The Guardians, protectors of the Nexxus and
the Goddess Selena, fight daily to ensure the survival of all races.
Hidden agendas, supernatural politics, and sins of the past threaten
to endanger the very world they all strive to protect. Led by two
families who must embrace their destinies, the Guardians of Tempest
must now step up to lead their races to victory.

Rena Marin
is afantasy/paranormal/horror author as well as reviewer. In 2017,
she and her co-author S.C. Storm introduced the world to The Tempest
Isle Series, with “The Guardians,” which was published by
Zombie Cupcake Press. At the end of 2017, she and her co-author also
penned the short, “My Sister’s Keeper,” which was featured
in the Zombie Cupcake Press Anthology, Madame Scarlet’s Carnival.
A writer of fantasy/paranormal/horror, Rena finds herself a lover of
the written word and hoping to branch out to multiple genres.
Rena is happily married to her soul mate, Daniel. The two of them reside
in the beautiful mountain town of Newport, Tn. with their two
children Cody and Amber.

S.C. Storm
was born in
Austin, Texas. She wrote poems as a hobby when she was in
school but motherhood took over and she stopped. Many years later,
she met her bestie Rena Marin online. After some time, Tempest was born.
Married to the love of her life, Willie, for
28 years, between them, they
have six children and ten grandchildren.
Recently widowed, she lives in Kyle, Texas spending her
time helping their youngest daughter continue her dads business,
taking care of her youngest son and her four cats, babysitting
grandkids and writing.

“I wish I could stay with you always, my dear. I do,” Arthur told her, dropping
his head. “One thing I must do, however, is explain some things to you. I have
never told you the history of our race. You know what the guardians are, and
that
the Ascension is held, but I think it is time you knew what it stands for, why it
happens.”
“I have wanted to know since I found out what I was. Living in the human
world for so long kept me in the dark about so much.” She smiled,
remembering
her life with her parents.
Catching her thoughts, Arthur smiled. “It is time you knew,” he told her as he
began. “The supernatural came into existence ages ago. Goddess Selena
created
the first supernatural being before humans ever walked the earth. Even today,
only she knows what all her creations are. Our race, however, is no mystery.
Seeing the creation of humans, the goddess immediately wanted to mold them
into something of her own. Thus, the first vampire was created. Knowing how
the humans fought to find enough food to keep them alive, the goddess chose
to
make the humans a source for us. Human blood keeps us alive. However, the
blood of a supernatural, the goddess’s creations, also makes us thrive. She
wanted us to flourish with or without the humans, simply because she had no
idea if they would survive or not.” He smiled as he looked down at his
granddaughter. “The same was true for the werewolves. Her love of nature, the
wolf, led her to combining a majestic wolf and a human. Once she saw how
strong, vibrant, loyal—perfect as she saw it—her creations were, she decided
to
take twelve from each race and make them her own personal protectors. They
would take from her essence, her blood, and become stronger, pure. Thus, the
guardians were born. For ages it went on, those same chosen ones protecting
her
from any harm as she lived her life with her love, the god, Silas.
“Silas could never understand Selena’s love of her supernatural creatures.
Often, she called them to her, wishing to hear of their days, their loves, their
dreams. As it often happens, Silas’s jealousy overtook him. He began lashing
out
at Selena by killing off the things she loved most. This is how the Nexxus was
created. The goddess made it, using all her powers, to be the ever after of her
beloved beings as well as the resting place of her guardians. Using her powers
left her defenseless against her lover. Heartbroken by his actions, Selena
called
upon the Ultimate Creator to help her. Hearing her pleas, Silas was banished to
a
dark void known as the Exodus, the home of darkness.”
“What happened to Selena?” Mileena asked.
By the look on her face, Arthur could see she was completely taken by thestory. “Powerless, she said good-bye to her creations and entered the Nexxus
herself. She dwells there, and the power of the races she created is the only
thing
keeping her in existence.” He finished with a shake of his head.
“And what does this have to do with what’s happening to you?” she asked,
looking at Sebastian, who dropped his head. “I know you told me we needed a
pure-blooded guardian to ascend, but why?”
“The Ascension, the rising of the guardians, is an important event. It gives the
goddess the power she needs. Our races thrive. The goddess gains strength
from
each guardian who ascends, however, the Ascension of a purebred guardian is
needed to keep the balance of each race. Without it, a race starts to weaken
and
die. Unfortunately, it has been quite a while since such a guardian has
ascended
from the vampire race. This has weakened us. As an elder vampire, it has
weakened me quite a bit. Without a proper Ascension, I will die and enter the
Nexxus.”
Seeing the fear cross Mileena’s face, Sebastian got to his feet. “The Atherton
family is the last pure-blooded guardian family we know still survives. As
Arthur said, there could be others who have gone into hiding. They could also
be
dead. We have no idea. The council stopped keeping track of the guardians
long
ago. The Athertons have not attended an Ascension in hundreds of years. They
want nothing to do with it,” he said, looking at Arthur. The sight of the man sent

chills down his spine. A mere month earlier, the man had been as young-
looking

as himself.

Waking the Ancients
Nemesis of
the Gods #2
by Catherine Cavendish
Genre: Horror
Egypt, 1908

University student Lizzie Charters accompanies her mentor, Dr. Emeryk

Quintillus, on the archeological dig to uncover Cleopatra’s tomb.
Her presence is required for a ceremony conducted by the renowned
professor to resurrect Cleopatra’s spirit—inside Lizzie’s body.
Quintillus’s success is short-lived, as the Queen of the Nile dies
soon after inhabiting her host, leaving Lizzie’s soul adrift . . .

Vienna, 2018

Paula Bancroft’s husband just leased Villa Dürnstein, an estate once

owned by Dr. Quintillus. Within the mansion are several paintings and
numerous volumes dedicated to Cleopatra. But the archeologist’s
interest in the Egyptian empress deviated from scholarly into
supernatural, infusing the very foundations of his home with his dark
fanaticism. And as inexplicable manifestations rattle Paula’s
senses, threatening her very sanity, she uncovers the link between
the villa, Quintillus, and a woman named Lizzie Charters.

And a ritual of dark magic that will consume her soul . . .
Wrath of the Ancients
Nemesis of
the Gods #1
DESTINY IN
DEATH
Egypt, 1908
Eminent archeologist Dr. Emeryk Quintillus has unearthed the burial chamber
of Cleopatra. But this tomb raider’s obsession with the Queen of
the Nile has nothing to do with preserving history. Stealing sacred
and priceless relics, he murders his expedition crew, and
flees—escaping the quake that swallows the site beneath the desert
sands . . .
Vienna, 1913
Young widow Adeline Ogilvy has accepted employment at the mansion of Dr.
Quintillus, transcribing the late professor’s memoirs. Within the
pages of his journals, she discovers the ravings of a madman
convinced he possessed the ability to reincarnate Cleopatra. Within
the walls of his home, she is assailed by unexplained phenomena:
strange sounds, shadowy figures, and apparitions of hieroglyphics.
Something pursued Dr. Quintillus from Egypt. Something dark, something
hungry.
Something tied to the fate and future of Adeline Ogilvy . . .
Following a varied career in
sales, advertising and career guidance,

Catherine Cavendish i
s now the full-time author of a
number of
paranormal, ghostly and Gothic horror novels, novellas and short
stories. She was the 2013 joint winner of the Samhain Gothic Horror
Anthology Competition, with Linden Manor, which was featured in the
anthology What Waits in the Shadows. Cat’s novels include The
Pendle Curse, Saving Grace Devine, and Dark Avenging Angel. She lives
with her long-suffering husband and black (trainee) cat. They divide
their time between Liverpool and a 260-year-old haunted apartment in
North Wales.

The man looked down at his scattered ashes. “I am growing tired of waiting. When will I be free
of this prison?”
“Soon.” The woman moved away in that fluid, ethereal manner of hers. Her scarlet gown flowed
around her. An armlet shaped in the goddess Isis’s symbol—a coiled cobra—gleamed. Heavy black kohl
rimmed her eyes, emphasizing the deep violet of her irises, while her long, black hair, set in many tight
braids, reached her waist. “You must be patient,” the woman said. “I told you I would help you get what
you desire.”
“But that isn’t possible. She is back in her body. Back in her tomb.”
“All is possible. I have the power. Haven’t I proved it? Aren’t you the proof of it?”
“I still don’t live.”
“Your spirit lives.”
“My spirit cannot touch her.”
“But it can touch her spirit. Mate with her spirit if you so desire.”
“And why would you do this for me?”
“My revenge is incomplete. My murdering sister rests while I am forced to wander in spirit with
no substance of my own.”
“And how will it be done? I am in your hands. This is not comfortable for me. I am always in
control.”
The woman threw back her head and laughed, showing black, rotten teeth. Stinking, no doubt, if
he could smell anything.
“You have not been in control for a long time. The god I serve is Set, and he is in control. He will
come and he will work through me. More powerful this time, for Sekhmet will bring him.”
“And I will have my queen?”
“You will have her.”
“She will be in the one who is here now?”
“That is to be determined.”
“But this one is not of the blood.”
“She will not be possessed, but transformed. We do not need a blood relative.”
“That has been tried before. And failed.”
“The rules were not properly followed. You cannot possess all of her. You have seen that. The
gods will not allow it. Her spirit must be divided. Some of it must remain with her body—and lie cold in
her tomb. Waiting. Always waiting. In that way, the gods are appeased and my price is also exacted.”

“So part of my queen will still wander, looking for her lover, but enough of her spirit will be
released to come to me.”
“Now you understand. You will have all that you desire, and my revenge will not be
compromised.”
“And I can be with her. For all time.”
The woman didn’t answer. She gave the merest hint of a smile and passed on.
In his world of shadows, Dr. Emeryk Quintillus waited.

Day Reaper Book Tour & Giveaway 4/24 – 5/24

Day Reaper
The Night Blood Series #4
by Melody Johnson
Genre: Paranormal Romance

On the brink of death, Cassidy DiRocco demands that New York City’s

master of the supernatural, Dominic Lysander, transform her—reporter,
Night Blood, sister, human—into the very creature she’s feared
and fought against for months: a vampire. The pain is brutal, she
could lose the career she’s worked so hard to achieve, and her
world will never be the same. But surviving is worth any risk,
especially when it means gaining the strength to fight against
Jillian Allister, the sister who betrayed Dominic, attacked Cassidy,
and is leading a vampire uprising that will destroy all of New York City . . .

When she awakens, however, Cassidy realizes the cost of being transformed

might be more than she was willing to sacrifice. But if Cassidy hopes
to right the irrevocable wrongs that Jillian and her army of the
Damned have wrought on New York City, she’ll need to not only
accept her new senses, body, and cravings, but wield them in her
favor. Irresistible and enigmatic as Dominic is, he no longer has
command over the city or its vampires. Only Cassidy has the
connections to convince the humans, Day Reapers, and the few vampires
still loyal to Dominic to join forces. And maybe, if Dominic can
accept her rising power over the coven he once commanded for the past
several hundred years, the two of them together might forge a bond
more potent than history has ever known. . .

Eternal Reign
The Night Blood Series #3
THE LEVELING
Last week, Cassidy DiRocco had some influence over the vampires that
stalk
the streets of New York City. She was never completely safe, but with
her newfound abilities as a night blood and her honed instincts as a
crime reporter, at least she had the necessary skills to survive.
Now, thanks to the injuries she sustained while saving her brother from a
fate worse than death, she’s lost her night blood status just as
another crime spree hits Brooklyn. Dozens of people are being
slaughtered, and each victim bears the Damned’s signature mark; a
missing heart.
Cassidy will need the help of all her allies to survive the coming war,
including the mysterious and charismatic Dominic Lysander, Master
Vampire of New York City. But as his rival’s army threatens his
coven and his own powers weaken with the approaching Leveling, even
Dominic’s defenses might not be enough protection.
With nothing left to lose, Cassidy must find the power inside herself to
save Dominic, his coven, their city, and survive.

Sweet Last Drop
The Night Blood Series #2
Trust No
One
Cassidy DiRocco knows the dark side intimately–as a crime reporter in
New
York City, she sees it every day. But since she discovered that she’s
a night blood, her power and potential has led the dark right to her
doorway. With her brother missing and no one remembering he exists,
she makes a deal with Dominic Lysander, the fascinating master
vampire of New York, to find him.
Dominic needs the help of Bex, another master vampire, to keep peace in
the
city, so he sends Cassidy to a remote, woodsy town upstate to
convince her–assuming she survives long enough. A series of vicious
“animal attacks” after dark tells Cassidy there’s more to
Bex and her coven than anyone’s saying. That goes double for fellow
night blood Ian Walker, the tall, blond animal tracker who’s supposed
to be her ally. Walker may be hot-blooded and hard-bodied, but he’s
hiding something too. If Cassidy wants the truth, she’ll have to
squeeze it out herself… every last drop.

The City Beneath
The Night Blood Series #1
As a
journalist, Cassidy DiRocco thought she had seen every depraved
thing New York City’s underbelly had to offer. But while covering
what appears to be a vicious animal attack, she finds herself drawn
into a world she never knew existed. Her exposé makes her the target
of the handsome yet brutal Dominic Lysander, the Master Vampire of
New York City, who has no problem silencing her to keep his coven’s
secrets safe…
But Dominic offers Cassidy another option: ally. He reveals she is a
night blood, a being with powers of her own, including the ability to
become a vampire. As the body count escalates, Cassidy is caught in
the middle of a vampire rebellion. Dominic insists she can help him
stop the coming war, but wary of his intentions, Cassidy enlists the
help of the charming Ian Walker, a fellow night blood. As the battle
between vampires takes over the city, Cassidy will have to tap into
her newfound powers and decide where to place her trust…
Melody Johnson is the author of the Night Blood series. She graduated
magna cum laude from Lycoming College with her B.A. in creative
writing and psychology. While still earning her degree, she worked as
an editing intern for Wahida Clark Presents Publishing. She was a
copyeditor for several novels, including Cheetah by Missy Jackson;
Trust No Man II by Cash; and Karma with a Vengeance by Tash
Hawthorne. Book #1 of the Night Blood series, The City Beneath, is
her debut novel. When she isn’t writing, Melody can be found hiking
the many woodsy trails in her Pennsylvania hometown or sunning and
swimming at the beach.

Transform me into a vampire.
The words had just left my lips, more shape than sound since I still couldn’t speak without vocal
cords, and Dominic Lysander, Master vampire of New York City—who had supposedly seen all, knew all,
and wasn’t impressed by any of it in his four hundred and seventy-seven- year-long life—stared at me
like I was an alien, like I was an otherworldly creature he’d always known probably existed, but was
wholly unprepared to confront. I knew that horror-filled, struck-dumb look all too well; I’d been wearing
it pretty consistently over the past several weeks, ever since Dominic had shoved me against the brick
exterior of my apartment building and commanded me to look into his eyes, and my body had
unwillingly obeyed. I knew that sometimes events were so devastating, both physically and mentally,
that all you could do was stare blankly at the destruction and hope to God you didn’t lose your shit.
But in all his four hundred and seventy-seven years, this was not the time nor the place to lose
his shit.
Use my necklace, I mouthed, both encouraging him and reminding him not to use the blood in
his veins, weakened by the Leveling. I would have ripped the pendant from my necklace and raised the
precious drops of his formerly powerful blood to my lips myself, but I’d lost the use of my arms. My
body was numb, my awareness drifting, my vision a starburst blanket of blackness covering my face, and
still, Dominic just stared.
What are you waiting for? I snapped, as much as I could snap under the circumstances.
“Another solution to present itself,” he finally admitted, looking over my injuries, the movement
of his eyes darting and frantic.
I raised my eyebrows, or at least, I tried to. Cold feet?
Dominic let loose a long-suffering sigh. Some of the horror left his expression, but not all of it,
and what little did leave was replaced by weary resignation. I didn’t understand his reaction—I didn’t
understand him and maybe never really would, not as a human anyway. After weeks of attempting to
seduce me, not only into his bed but into his coven, this should be his golden, shining moment, the pot
of gold at the end of this violent, blood-soaked rainbow, but by the sick, nearly choked expression on his
face, instead of bathing in his good fortune, he was drowning in it. “The temperature of my feet has
little to do with this decision,” he said blandly.
I opened my mouth to correct his misunderstanding, to explain that “cold feet” was just an
expression, not a literal physical discomfort, when I noticed the tilt to the scarred half of his lips. He was
teasing. I was exsanguinating in an alley between East Fifty-Seventh Street and 432 Park Avenue, my
vocal cords in shreds, breathing more blood than air into my lungs, and fading fast. And he was teasing.
I laughed and blood sprayed like a geyser from my esophagus. Dominic choked, coughing up
physical blood from his metaphysical injuries. My injuries.
The blanket over my vision thickened, filling the gaps between starbursts. I didn’t have time to
doubt my decision and consider why Dominic would hesitate—which wasn’t so much a decision as it
was a last resort, and perhaps therein lay Dominic’s hesitation. I didn’t have time to convince him that
my decision was more choice than he’d been given for his transformation, and if my decision was more

about living than it was about a life with him, he’d have to suck up his pride and be grateful I was making
this choice at all: the right choice, according to him, under different circumstances.
I didn’t even have time to catch my breath.

All the while, her dreams grow more intense. More urgent. More
passionate.
More dangerous.
In order to save everyone at Thornbrush Manor, Isoline will have to
confront the darkest parts of herself-and discover the secret of the
man who hides in her dreams.
Fans of Daphne Du Mauier, Sherrilyn Kenyon, and Eve Silver are sure to
love this Gothic romance from Leigh Anderson.

LEIGH ANDERSON loves all things Gothic and paranormal. Her
master’s
thesis was on vampire imagery in Gothic novels and she met her
husband while assuming the role of a vampire online. She currently
teaches writing at several universities and has a rather impressive
collection of tiny hats. She lives in a small town in the mountains
with her husband, human child, and two fur-children. She is currently
working on too many writing projects, and yet not enough.

“Isoline…”
Isoline gasped as she opened her eyes. He was here…again…always…
“Isoline…”
She climbed out of bed, her hands gripping her satin robe as she stood, but when she
looked back, the bed was gone, as were the walls of her room. She wrapped the robe around
herself as the fog crept in around her ankles. She was somewhere outside. She could feel the
grass under her feet and the dampness in the air, yet she was not cold. The strange sensations
told her that none of this was real…yet she knew it was.
“Isoline…” he called to her again.
“I’m here,” she replied softly. “Show yourself.” She knew he would not, but still she tried
to convince him to reveal his face. In the five years he had been coming to her in her dreams,
she had not seen who he was, but she could feel he had gotten closer to her.
She took a step forward. Just because she was alone in a dream with a strange man did
not mean she could not enjoy a short walk. She had been coming here for so long, this place no
longer terrified her.
It was a large open glade, with grass up to her knees, surrounded by forest. She had
tried many times to reach the edge of the glade, but she had never made it that far. A pale blue
moon lighted her way. She clutched tightly to the robe at her chest and ran the tips of her
fingers along the edges of the grass as she walked. She shivered, not from cold, but from the
way the grass tickled her bare calves as she walked.
She heard footsteps behind her. She slowly turned her head, but there was no one there,
as usual. She continued her walk, and she heard the footsteps again, closer this time.
“I want to see you,” she said. “It is time, don’t you think?”
He did not respond, but she felt the wind lightly touch the ends of her long dark hair.
No…it wasn’t the wind. It was him. She knew it was. She shivered again.
“If you cannot reveal yourself to me you need to stop bringing me here,” she said. “I…”
She had delayed in telling him the truth. This man in her dreams. She shook her head,
disappointed with herself. What was she afraid of? Offending a figment of her imagination?
But what she knew to be true and what she knew to be reasonable and logical warred in
her mind. She knew she was dreaming. But she also knew this was much more than a dream.
But if it was more than a dream, what was it? It was the unknown that scared her more than the
dream itself. She no longer feared the dream as she once did. She actually longed for it. She
did not know what caused the dreams to happen. There seemed to be no logical order to when
they happened. One night, two nights, three nights could pass before she would find herself
here. When too many nights passed that she was not awakened by him calling her name, she
would miss him. Miss this place.
And yet, as a dream, she could not let it stop her from living.
But she did. She had for too long. She had to put an end to it. It was time to focus on the
world of the waking.
“I am getting married,” she finally said in one quick breath.
The world stilled. For the first time in a dream, she felt cold. She pulled her robe more
tightly around her and could see the crystals of her own breath before her.
“Do not be angry,” she said. “You know we cannot continue like this.”
We. As if she had a choice in being here. She could not will the dreams to come to her.
She had tried. She could not change the content of the dreams. She had tried that as well. And
yet…she wanted to be here. She wanted to see this man who had called to her all these years.
She wanted to know him. To touch him. To see him. But if he could not give her that, she could
not keep coming here.
“It is dishonorable to my future husband,” she said. “I cannot keep coming to you from
my marriage bed. It is disloyal.”
From over her shoulder, she could see him breathing. He was right behind her. Her own
breath stilled. They were so close. If only she could touch him.
“Just show me your face,” she panted, “and I will end the engagement.”
The hairs on her arms prickled. He was right there, so close. Almost touching her but not

quite. She had to look. She turned to face him.
And he was gone.
She stood alone in the field.
“Who are you?” she yelled.
