Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream review and #giveaway

Did you know that Carmex products have been around for nearly 75 years?   People have been using Carmex lip balms for that long.  I remember my grandmother having a pot and tube of Carmex lip balm on, what she called, her bureau.  As a kid I used to go over to her mirror and put some of it on my lips. The scent of it still reminds me of my grandmother.

Carmex is growing their line.  In addition to the lip balms, they are introducing their Carmex Skin Care line.  The non-greasy feel along with quality ingredients, and their effectiveness are something Carmex is proud of.  At only $5.99 a tube, it’s a great buy for quality skincare products.  They are available at Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart.

Carmex sent me a nice package with a full size 5.5 oz healing lotion, 4 oz Healing Cream, and a smaller bottle of each.

The Healing Lotion and Healing Cream have something like a baby powder scent to them.  Very pleasant and comforting.  The Healing Lotion says it contains Aloe and Vitamin E.  The Healing Cream is used to “repair your driest roughest skin” according to the bottle.  It also says it contains 9 healing ingredients.

The lotion rubbed in easily and quickly into my skin.  The light, fresh, baby powderish scent was pretty and not over powering.  Both the healing lotion and healing cream are white in color.  I like that the cap is at the bottom of the bottle.  It helps the lotion to come out without much struggle.  They are flip cap and easy to open.

I get dry skin over the fall and winter.  Both the healing lotion and cream were comforting on my dry skin.  My skin did not feel greasy at all after application.
