Belletto Studios Professional Air Brush Makeup – Luv Saving Money

Belletto Studios Professional Air Brush Makeup

Have you ever tried airbrush makeup?  I had seen commercials for different types myself and always wondered what it was like.  Is it hard to use?  Does it really go on like they show on tv?  How do you do the details?  So many questions stopped me from ever looking into it. I figured, I do alright with regular make up, why bother?

Belletto Studios introduced me to their new site.  They offer a professional air brush makeup system kit as well as a variety of shades of makeup to choose from.  They have a shade matching quiz available on the site to help you pick out the right shades for you.

The above pic shows what comes with the Belletto Studios Professional Air Brush System.
–The compressor                                                         –primer
–the air brush wand                                                     –morning mist
–foundation                                                                 –choice of one eye shadow
–blush                                                                         –cleaning solution
–instructional DVD                                                      –warranty info
–and of course the power cord and hose

My items came packaged up in these nice little boxes.  The first think I did was read over the warranty info and watch the instructional DVD.  I can’t tell you enough that if you’ve never used an airbrush system, you should definitely watch the video.  I watched some parts of the video several times before I even attempted to use the system. I practiced with water several times just as the dvd suggests.  I think this was a good move.  It gave me a feel for how the switch works, how fast I need to sweep across my face, and it gave me a chance to play with the different modes to see how each one worked and felt.

This system definitely takes some practice to get the look you want.  This is my first attempt at using the system:

Above is my before picture with no make up.  The next pic is my first attempt to use the system.

It wasn’t too bad.  I’m definitely glad that I practiced with the water first.  Keeping the airbrush wand the correct distance from my face and remembering to keep moving was the hardest part.  I started to get the hang of it though.  The blush went on a little more than I would normally wear but I found it easy to take a cotton ball and buff off some of the excess.  I like the coverage of the foundation.  Not too heavy but enough to cover some flaws.  They recommend using the lighter shade of foundation in the kit as a concealer. I used the “Toasted Canary” which was the lighter shade in my kit to conceal.  I used the “Sweet Honey” foundation all over.  The shadow I used this time is called “White Gold”.  The blush color is called “Peachish”.

So what are the benefits of using Belletto Studios Professional Make up Airbrush System?

1.  Make up last for up to 24 hours.

It really does too.  The first day that I did my make up I had tried it out around 2 in the afternoon.  I left it on all day.  My hubby called at 8:30 that evening and said that he wanted to take me to his friend birthday celebration, he had found a sitter for the kids and could I be ready?  In 45 minutes.  Usually I’d be in panic mode thinking “No way! I gotta do my make up , find an outfit, fix my hair, etc.”  I looked at my make up in the mirror and said “Yea I could be ready”  My make up lasted all night.

2.  Once you get the hang of it, it’s quick to apply

3.  Belletto make up uses natural non-damaging formula that is:
    —Paraben Free
    —Silicone Free
    —Oil Free
    —Fragrance Free
    —Alcohol Free
    —Dye Free
    —Cruelty Free
    —Hypoallergenic
    —and won’t clog pores
All of there make up is basically minerals and water

4.  Airbrush make up is an application that insures that you don’t apply bacterias along with your make up.  Make up brushes, sponges, and foams can be a breeding ground for bacteria.  Bacteria can be transmitted when using your beauty tool to apply makup.  With the airbrush system, the application tool never touches your face.

All the makup is liquid form. You drop it into the make up pot of the airbrush wand.  The video tells you how much but I actually used a little less after the first time because I like my make up a little more toned down, especially for work.

Well on my 2nd attempt I think things went a little better.  I was brave enough to try a couple of tones with with my eye shadow. Again the first picture is the before:

This one is the after with more natural lighter make up

I also did a close up of my lids so you can see what that looks like better

In these pics I used the “Toasted Canary” foundation, the “Unique Taupe” shadow on my lower lids and the “Pearl” shadow to highlight my upper lids.  The blush is called “Peachish”.

Their site is up but still in the process of getting all the links working.  To get the airbrush kit itself that just comes with the compressor, the wand, cleaning brushes, 12 v dc and tubing, it’s $199.  I was told the kit I received that had 3 foundations, a bronzer, primer, morning mists, 3 shadows, pearl that could be used anywhere on the face, 1 blush, highlighter, cleaning solution, dropper, instructional dvd, airbrush wand, compressor with all attachments is a $350 value.  It’s a bit pricey but is nice for someone who is really into doing their make up.
