So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook Review

My youngest is 17 months old. He’s at a point now where he has a few teeth. He can chew. He wants whatever we have. The problem is he can’t always have everything we’re having. Sure I make modifications to some of the food like chopping it up fine, maybe adding milk to make the texture smoother like in potatoes, or something like that. Not everything appeals to him though.

I had the opportunity to review the: So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook from Fresh Baby.

The So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook starts off with info about how to develop healthy eating habits in your toddler.  There are tips for pick eaters, as well as a food terms section.

There are lots of fun recipes with colorful pictures of the dish.  One of the things I was most impressed with however, is the they have a nutrition facts table for each and every recipe!

There are recipes for your ordinary toddler favorites like: homemade pizza and variations of Macaroni and cheese to recipes that are a little more different like: Sand Castle Couscous and Tropical Summer Soup.  There’s also healthy toddler dessert recipes for Smooth and Creamy popsicles and Orange Frosty.

All of the recipes are easy to follow and make.  Some have pictures of several steps.  Also, all of the ingredients in the recipes are easy to find common ingredient.

I would definitely recomment the So Easy Toddler Cookbook to anyone that cares for a toddler.  I like to think I’m crafty but sometimes I need some ideas when it comes to food.  This book was a great help. This book is also available in Spanish.

How to "catch" Santa at your house and provide proof #giveaway 12/20 5 winners!

My boys believe in Santa Clause. Last year they put the reindeer feed out. After opening gifts in the morning I had pretty much forgot about the reindeer feed. My oldest didn’t. He ran outside to see if the reindeer feed was gone. He came back in with a very excited voice saying “it’s gone, they ate the reindeer feed!”

I always thought it would be cute to find a way to “prove” Santa was here. Other than the presents of course. This year I found out about iCaughtSanta.com.

Use a picture from your own house and add a Santa pose to your picture.  It’s really easy to do too! Go to: http://www.icaughtsanta.com  upload a pic from your house, choose your Santa pose and move him around in the pic where you want.  You can adjust the size of your background and/or Santa.  You can adjust the brightness and color, and even add a border if you want to for only $9.99.  You can download the picture and print pics out yourself OR you can order prints from the site.

You can even catch Santa on the go using the iphone app store: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/icaughtsanta/id341400468?mt=8

Here is my picture of proof of Santa at my house:

I’m planning on printing this out myself and setting it on the coffee table in the living room near the tree.  I want to see if they notice it first.  If not I’m going to show it to them.  I can’t wait to hear their reaction.

Also if you want to add a little extra something you can get a video for $4.99 of Santa coming to life in your very own photo.

http://www.icaughtsanta.com is offering a 25% discount to Free Stuff, Fun Sites, Contests, and More readers.  Use coupon code: FREE-STUFF

It’s not just Santa you can catch though.  You can also catch the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Cupid at your house at either  http://www.icaughtsanta.com  OR http://www.catchacharacter.com

iCaughtSanta.com is trying to spread the word about their cool site. They are giving away an ipad to one winner for helping spread the word.  Here are the rules:

Send an email (to
ipad@icaughtsanta.com) with a link to your web page, published blog entry,
Facebook post or tweet – with your full name, email address, and phone number.
You will receive one entry for each post. {For example: if you blog about
iCaughtSanta.com 3 times and you post a link on Facebook 2 times and you tweet
about the site 2 times, you will receive 7 entries in the contest.} Limit 10
total entries per person. No purchase necessary to win.

When referring to iCaughtSanta.com make sure the “.com” is included NOT just iCaughtSanta.

I had so much fun with the site. I think it’s going to add a little extra Christmas wonder and magic to my boys Christmas morning.  I’m so excited!  I’m like a kid myself.

Cookiecutters4less.com Review and Giveaway 12/15 US–CLOSED

THANKS EVERYONE FOR ENTERING.  RANDOM.ORG DREW NUMBER 61, MANTHAS24.  WINNER HAS BEEN EMAILED AND HAS 48 HOURS TO REPLY.

This time of the year I think a lot of people like to make Christmas cookies. Something about having a plate of homemade cookies on the table as a special treat just adds to the ambience. What about setting a plate of cookies out for Santa? Or giving a gift of a tray or box of handmade cookies to a neighbor or the mailman.

When I first got married I though I got a good deal on a bunch of cookie cutters. They were plastic. Not all of them are what I would call “open” cookie cutters. Some of them were solid or some areas where the details were were solid. Or some had extremely narrow areas and when you removed the cookie cutter from the dough your reindeer had now only had 2 legs instead of 4. It was frustrating to me when the dough got stuck in the cookie cutters. Some I just threw away because they didn’t work worth a spit. My “bargain” cookie cutters were anything but. I remembered the nice cookie cutters my mother used to have. You know the nice open ones made of either copper or a silver colored metal.

I had looked for them but found them to be very expensive. Cookiecutters4less.com offers cookie cutters in many themes and seasons. You can buy them individually or look at their great prices on sets. One of my favorite areas is the 10 for $10 cookie cutter category.  Cookiecutters4less.com offers both metal and polyresin cookie cutters.

I was sent a mix of metal and polyresin cookie cutters to try for the review.  They put my review items through like a regular order.  I received my cookie cutters in 2 days! That was superfast shipping.

I had some Crayola cookie dough left from a baking activity with the kids.  I decided to give the cookie cutters a try with the left over dough.  All of my cookies maintain their shape.  My reindeer had it’s legs, my bears had all of it’s extremities, etc.  Here’s how they turned out.

These cookie cutters are very durable and well made. Easy to clean and you can’t bat the prices on the Cookiecutters4less.com site! Now these cookie cutters are a REAL bargain.

Cookiecutter4less.com Also sells: Wilton Products, cookie decorating supplies, gift baskets, and cookie kits.

Other than their website, you can find Cookiecutters4less on Facebook too: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/CookieCutters4Lesscom/140740109297861

Check out out their site for cookie recipes as well.
