G-X Disinfectant from Stanley Home Products: Review and Giveaway

It’s that time of year again.  I don’t necessarily mean the holidays but cold and flu season.  Of course coupled with the holidays there’s plenty of opportunities for germs to get passed.  Hugs and kisses from grandma, all the children playing together sharing their new toys, well you get the idea.

I just had to keep my son home from school a day this week because he had a fever, cough, sneezing, and sore throat.  So I take extra care to make sure I go over all commonly touched surfaces.  The G-X Disinfectant from Stanley Home Products has been a big help.

Stanley Home Products has been in business for 70 years.  The offer a wide selection of cleaning, home and personal care products.  This month they are featuring the G-X Disinfectant in their Home Helpers line.

Stanley Home Products G-X Disinfectant is an aerosol spray that can penetrate cracks and crevices.  This products can be used on hard, non-porous surfaces.  Use it in your bathroom, kitchen,  garbage cans, diaper pails, …it even says you can use it on sports equipment and things like bowling shoes!
This product works something like other spray on disinfectants (think Lysol).  Use it on things like door handles, facets, light switches, etc to prevent those cold and flu germs from being passed through the family.
It’s simple to use.  Spray it on, leave it set for 10 minutes then wipe.  This product does have a bit of a strong scent that is on the fresh scent side.  This is definitely a product you want to keep out of reach of small children.
G-X disinfectant does a lot.  It disinfects, is a Fungicide (kills fungus), Mildewstat (prevent mildew), kills HIV-1 virus, and is a virucide (kills viruses like influenza A).  G-X Disinfectant comes in a generous 16 oz aerosol spray can.
You can purchase G-X Disinfectant through Stanley Home Products website or shop locally by finding a Stanley Home Products representative near you.
Stanley Home Products is social too.  You can find them on twitter: @StanleyHomeProd and on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/StanleyHomeProducts

Doodle Roll review: great stocking stuffer

Christmas is getting ever closer.  Maybe you have most of your Christmas shopping done, perhaps your making plans for a car trip to go see some family over the holidays.  I had an opportunity to review this cool product called Doodle Roll.

Watch this video to show you what Doodle Roll is and how it works:

This product comes in a, sort of, clamshell box.  The edge of the box where the paper roll is, is rigid with smoothed teeth to easily rip off a piece of paper the size you want it.  Wait to tear off the paper until your done with your pick or you can tear off the paper to ensure your kids don’t waste it.

We got the Doodle Roll in the 4″ and the 6″ width.  The 4″ came with a pack of four crayons that easily fit in the crayon storage of the clamshell.  The 6″ width came with 8 crayons.  The paper is a sturdy paper.  It’s not one of those low grade papers that are gonna rip super easy so they will be sturdy enough to hang up if you do decide to make a banner.

Doodle Rolls are convenient and portable.  Everything fits in it’s package.  There are great to stick in a purse and backpack for a car trip.  There would also make great stocking stuffers.  The kids can let their imaginations go. Create murals, banners, or small works of art.  You can even get Doodle Rolls in party packs.

My boys love to draw.  I’m usually handing them blank sheets of paper from my printer.  This was great.  I let my boys have fun with it.  With my toddler who seemed to just want to pull the whole roll, I was able to rip off smaller pieces for him to color on.

What I do want to point out is that these come with the regular size crayons.  My toddler broke all the crayons in the 4″ pack when I let him use it.  The crayons pictured with my toddler are crayons I took out of our own crayon box since he broke them. FYI–any regular size crayons fit in the crayon compartment.   I’d love to them offer one with jumbo crayons for the little ones too.

This would be a great portable item to take with you for those long waits with kids too like at the doctor’s office, for example.

***I received 2 sizes of the Doodle Roll for review purposed.  I did not receive any monetary compensation. Any opinions expressed are my own. ***
