BEWARE of the site PureBloggers! – Luv Saving Money

BEWARE of the site PureBloggers!

Please Share

I felt the need to write this post because of my own experience.   I had received a number of email from bloggers  that I know, to sign up for PureBloggers (dot) com.  I don’t want to spell it out because I want you to avoid it at all costs. Seeing, what seemed like, so many other bloggers signing up for the site I decided to join myself.

In reality, I’m sorry to say, that I think it’s a spam site.  I wrote it off at first as being another new blog community.  My first red flag was that when I started filling out my profile it has an optional space to fill out your paypal email with no explanation as to why.  Thankfully I did not fill this out and had only filled out minimal info in my profile.  My second red flag was the poor grammar and spelling throughout the site.  This includes sections like the “about” section and other areas.

Since I signed up for the site, I noticed an increase in the amount of spam comments I was having to block on my blog.  Even after signing up I was hit with tons of emails and DMs on twitter to join PureBloggers.

Then, the kicker.  When I decided it was definitely a spam site I tried to figure out if there was a way to delete my account.  No option to delete your account, the FAQ section is a joke and does not tell you how to delete your account.

I deleted any and all info from my profile.  If you receive an email from me to join that site it’s spam.  You should avoid PureBloggers (dot) com!

Feel free to share this post with your readers as well.

***UPDATE****  I received a comment below about how to delete the account.  I did not see this option when I originally tried to delete my account.  I tried it, I think I deleted my account but I’m not sure.  I think it’s also fair to note that I also had to block 3 spam comments on this post already just since writing this post this morning.

  1. I signed up about 4 days ago.. before reading this post and have received 53 spam emails since sign up. I just deleted my account there and noticed that when they give you the options to tell them why, there is a check box for “I am receiving too much spam” seems like Anonymous needs to rethink their comment.

  2. Thanks for sharing your experience Angie. I keep getting these funny messages from purebloggers also – I’ll stay away.
I have also noticed a batch of hits from an online pharmacy site….no possible link to my niche theme. A friend tells me these are “robot crawlers” which somehow help to raise their site’s profile in searches.

  3. Thanks for the info! I actually got to know about PureBloggers over Formspring when a girl randomly asked me a question to join the site! Knowing from my experience, most of these are spams so I google up on PureBloggers instead of clicking on the link she sent me. And I stumble on your site! Thanks for sharing this important info!

  4. Thanks for the info….I’ve been searching for a way to delete my account but was having trouble.
I just didn’t like the feel of that whole site.
It was creepy if you ask me.
Thanks bunches! (Hopefully my account was ACTUALLY deleted).

  5. I signed up to Purebloggers to see if I could identify why I was suddenly getting a lot of traffic to my blog from there. I also avoided the Paypal info. When I got the account setup, I tried searching for my blog and nothing came up. I immediately deleted my account. I haven’t gotten any spam from it, but it bothers me that my blog is listed on a site I didn’t register it on.

  6. Thank you so much! I didn’to know ho to delete my purebloggers account.
