I’ve been in the market for a laptop but I’m on a budget. I was shopping around and found this one on Amazon Acer C720 Chromebook (11.6-Inch, 2GB)
It looks thin and portable. The 16 GB version is only $199 ($179 if you have Amazon Prime) and the 32 GB version is only $249 ($229 if you have prime) It’s the #1 best selling on Amazon and has tons of 5 star reviews. In fact even if you look at the ration of lower rating it has overwhelming rave reviews. Thinking this is the one I”m going to go with. I just thought I’d share because I know some will be looking for a laptop for their college bound kids or maybe even your high school or home school student.
We have had 2 Acer laptops (neither a chromebook though) in the past, both lasted just longer than a year until they stopped working
Before purchasing a Chromebook please realize that it has a very small hard drive so to save information you have to connect an external hard drive. Most come with free cloud storage for 2 years and after that if you want to access your information you will have to pay whatever they are charging at the time. Also, you cannot load programs onto it.
