Rally for Ryan will you donate? – Luv Saving Money

Rally for Ryan will you donate?

I love blogging and there are a few things that I’m really passionate about when I write. There’s a list but among the top is helping to promote local businesses, making sure I include some posts for charity, and I’m going to push this one to the top too…using my voice, even if it’s a small one on the internet to help out a local family.

A couple weeks ago I read on my local tv news station’s website about a bad motorcycle accident only a few miles from my house.  It said it was a guy from my town.  They didn’t list the name at the time and I really had no idea who it was.  Being on maternity leave I’m not able to socialize as much as I did while working or I probably would have heard about this sooner.

A local business man, he graduated only a year ahead of me, only year older than me.  He has a young family. A wife and two kids I believe.  His family owns a couple of the funeral homes in our town.  His dad is a Deacon at a church in the neighboring town.

Ryan was in a motorcycle accident that nearly took his life from what I understand.  He had to have one of his arms and one of his legs amputated and suffered severe burns.  But you can read the whole story on the GiveForward page:

To be honest I don’t know Ryan that well. I knew him for the reasons I stated above. The thing that really hit me was I remember one day last summer taking my kids up to a local park and playing on the playground.  I saw him there with his wife and kids.  I think how much stress his family must be under, his young children.  How it’s going to take a lot of work to get back to his life, but I’m sure he will and the last thing his family should have to worry about is how they’re going to pay the mounting hospital bills.  I guess I kind of thought of it like, what if I was in that position and I had so many emotions run through me.  I felt compelled to share this for whatever reason.

I’m sending positive energy and prayers to the family.
