These are the dates as per the UPS website.
- December 20: UPS 2nd Day Air®: (delivery on Monday, December 24)
- December 21: UPS Next Day Air®: (delivery on Monday, December 24)
- December 22: UPS On-Call Pickup® for UPS Next Day Air: (delivery on Monday, December 24)
US Postal Service Deadlines
According the US Postal Service these are the last dates for Christmas delivery and the respective services. This is for you shipping a package out yourself. This would not be the same when ordering online since it takes time for them to pull an order and packaged.
December 20 First Class Mail and Priority Mail
December 22 Priority Mail express
Standard shipping cannot be guaranteed by Christmas.
Fedex Shipping Deadlines
Dec. 17: Ground and home delivery
Dec. 19: Express Saver
Dec. 20: Two-day options
Dec. 21: Overnight options
The Fedex sites says “December 24 is the last day FedEx express and Fedex Ground shipments will be delivered.” but it’s also talking about pre-December 25 delivery. Not sure if they deliver on Christmas day.
More options for pre-Christmas day
Many sites are offering free two day shipping on and store pick up. If you’re cutting it close to a holiday shipping deadline or don’t want to risk not getting the gift on time consider store pick up. Sites like Walmart, Macy’s, Target, Best Buy and more have store pick up option for in-stock items.
