I have been visiting Hot Pants Facebook page frequently since I started my trial on Wed. July 13. One question I’ve seen come up a few times is if your on the fence about what size to buy, here’s my suggestion:
The size conversion chart on www.gethotpants.com site has it broke into UK, US, and EU sizes. I’m going to go with US sizes here since that is what I’m familiar with.
As I mentioned in my initial Hot Pants test post I can wear anything from a 6-10 depending on the brand and style of the clothes though a 6 is a rarity for me. I ordered a small because the size conversion chart said a small fit between 6-10. When I got them in the mail, I tried them on immediately. I had to pull each side of the zipper together in order to zipper that pants. They were pretty snug. I think if I would have been a solid size 10 or if my size was mostly due to my hip bones (which won’t give of course) I don’t know that I would have got them on. My sister got the Large. She would have been right in the middle with the sizing between 14-18 but she said she’s tried everything to zipper them up and she’s not able to.
The pants are supposed to fit snug but my suggestion, if you’re on the highest end of a size, you may want to order the next size up. I’ve seen some say that they were able to get them on easier if they didn’t unzipper them and just pulled them up. They are a bit stretchy so that may work for some.

I’m probably about the size of your sister and I received a size L and they are snug but what I do is zip them completely and then pull them up and that works for me.
My hips are 114cm and my waist is 91cm. Should I order L or XL?
I think the look AND sizing must have recently changed on these pants. There is no zipper on the two pants I ordered and they fit a bit large for those between sizes. My mom is a 10-12 and they fit a bit baggy on her bum. i am a large 12 and they seem to fit perfect…

So far.they seem to take off the excess water weight gain..they are comfortable and you can even wear them while sleeping. I have not worn them long enough for a change just yet but they seem to be doing SOMETHING!
Yes Indogschild, It must have changed. I know they were looking for input from the Hot Pants ambassadors and I had heard a few people say they thought they’d prefer them without a zipper. Me personally, I thought the zipper was helpful in me getting them on. I wonder if they changed the sizing too? Truly mine were supposed to be for size 8-10. I fluctuate between a 6-8 and I had to some work to get into mine. My sister wasn’t even able to get hers on at all.

I’m also a size 10 in a dress and the Large I ordered and just received are not as snug as I thought they would be… they are snug in the bum, upper thigh and belly areas but at the end of the legs, there is a little gap as well as the bottom of the back (as I am pair shaped).. I’m pretty sure what is the most important is that I do sweat in the hotpants, but I am a little worried as they are not skin tight and I do not sweat as much as I should be… and I also waited 2 months to get them so I don’t want to return them 🙁
i looked at the cm measure and it says the small will fit up to HIPS:96 CM and WAIST:70 cm. my hips are 98 cm and mu waist is exactly 70… do you think i should risk trying to squeeze into a small or just go for the medium?
